You really think it is play calling? When Daboll calls a run and it goes for a yard is that really the play call? I would concur with you on the fad pass to Diggs against Tampa on 3rd down. Hated that call but almost the exact play scored a TD last week. Also JA missed a TD pass to Davis in the Pats game. I think it is 90% execution and 10% play calling. As for play calling I would prefer a little more pocket movement and a screen pass if they are around the 15 yard line. And lastly more Knox!

Week 16: Bills at Pats - DISCUSSION
Ethan in Cleveland replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ford returning from injury going into year 3 was the key and he has disappointed. Bringing back Williams was good move at the time. The only different move I make and many on here were posting in real time was to take C/G in round two instead of Basham. -
Yes I know that was my point. Frazier is doing everything everyone else is doing. The lack of qb sacks is not scheme its talent up front. And a little bad luck as they get pressure but don't get sacks
-
I think they do everything you can imagine and more. They drop defenders in coverage and bring pressure from the linebackers. They rush Edmunds from the middle and from the outside. They stunt. I will say I can't recall a single jail break blitz where they send 7 guys and play quarters behind them.

Addition by subtraction. I would like to see more Basham and less Epenesa anyways.

Tom Brady, 2021 Sportsman of the Year
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall
Close your eyes and imagine just for a moment if that was a black WR that told the opposing coach to F off? Can you imagine the media comments about how the player needs to grow up, is immature, is hurting his team, needs to be taught a lesson, is a thug, or is a poor role model. -
Should Davis start over Sanders going forward?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Blainorama5's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont know why either but he just makes more plays. Let Sanders and Beasley rotate in the slot. Sanders was getting open deep consistently and JA has found him at times. He can still be a weapon but Davis commands a few more snaps per game -
Agreed Home game so crowd noise was not a factor. Relatively safe game to give him a shot at LT.

30+ Touchdown Passes...Bills History

Kelly had Thurman Thomas and Kenneth Davis to score on the ground -
So much for Brown at LT it seems. Hopefully he is good enough for RT. I would still most likely draft OT in the first round and move Dawkins to LG. However if a C/G falls in the first round I would take him and play him at guard for a year and keep Morse for another year.
-
If I'm Baltimore I franchise him for a year. They are in a SB window and overpaying the QB spot for one year will be ok. He is a very very good player but he is not worthy of a top 3 contract. Top 7 yes not top 3. If he and his agent were sensible they would take 5th highest contract five year fully guaranteed. Take a little less money but get 100% of it.

Obviously its not one loss. Its the fact the loss almost assuredly knocks them out of the playoffs. -

I will put my reputation on this board against yours any day. That said, I am rounding in the hospital all day so won't see the game live. As other have said, it would be great if Brown plays a capable LT today. Opens up all kinds of off-season options for the OL. If they throw Doyle out there to start then they might as well take JA to the hospital now. -

I've got a bad feeling about this game. A hobbled JA behind this nightmare line on a wet field. I think this will be the pivotal embarrassing loss that loses McD his job as the boos rain down from the crowd.- 207 replies

Just for Fun - Today's Starting LT?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to CSBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hopefully Brown starts at LT and plays well enough for McDumbass to move Dawkins to LG -

They are as good at run blocking as Epenesa sucks at pass rushing. Terrible pick. Hated it then. I thought it was right move to have him slim down. But he is simply not athletic enough to be effective in the NFL -

Bills need a dome because the weather sucks for the fans as much as it does for the players. Most players don't want to play in cold, rain, and wind. Most players are from the South or California. The chance JA is still playing with the Bills by the time the new stadium is done is really low. Hope they change their mind and build a dome like Minnesota -
I get it. Some trade ideas seem off the wall. But trading two underachieving first round picks for each other is not out of the question.

Help me here. I would say Dallas, Seattle, and Tampa have better group of WR's - excluding TE's. Who else? Rams? Minnesota? Bills can't be less than top 6 in the league. Of course it can be upgraded. Every position except CB can be upgraded. But at what cost and what is the difference in the return on investment. I was fine with a high draft pick RB last year but I terribly misjudged the OL talent. If Dawkins can not return to form you are looking at replacing both guards and keeping an average center, an average LT, and an unknown at RT. Beane screwed up with the Ford pick. Set the line back three years.
