Competent is a far cry from being a league leading rusher. Taylor doesn’t just get 3 yards on a push; he’s a playmaker who can break open a game on a single run. Zach Moss is not that kind of player.

TNF. Sorry, is CHI/WSH worth a thread?

I have Kmet and Herbert on my fantasy team. Things are looking up this week already. -
NY Radio Host doesn’t hold back on Evan Neal

It doesn’t take much to set Lagreca off. But this is gold. I’m in the NYC Metro area, and they have been abusing both New Jersey teams this past week. Tiki Barber told the show producer his take on Daniel Jones contract was “boring and misinformed”. They’re eating themselves alive over here, while Bills fans are asking for seconds from the Victory Buffet. -
This sounds like George Edwards “hybrid” defense. Sacrifice the pass rush, for an extra coverage guy. Basically a 34 defense with an extra safety, instead of a linebacker somewhere. Or am I off?

Many moons ago, we played the game of picking Training Camp Cuts by last name alone. It’s a surprisingly accurate metric.

I feel so bad for Daboll. He looks like I do after doing chores for my Mother In Law.
-
He certainly looked quicker and more violent. Something happens between these two teams, and it brings the best out of our guys. Dawkins played with some real spice yesterday that was great to see. Hopefully he stays this way the rest of the season.

Oh man. Zach Wilson. Sheesh.

Game Day Thread? Bills @ Steelers 8/19
RobbRiddicksTDLeap replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
For the first time in a long time, this “meaningless” preseason game has some meaning to me. I lost a very very close friend on Tuesday who was a lifelong Steelers fan. Great human, who tragically couldn’t put his demons to rest. Rest in Power Hot Rod Randy Randall. I swing my terrible towel for thee, once and then back to rooting for my Bills. Sorry for the downer, just needed to vent. Go Bills!!! -

Talk about a guy who runs the locker room. That “HEY” was pure Dad Voice Power, but with a smile. God I just love him so much. I don’t care who knows it!- 213 replies

A forever embarrassment to this organization. Dr Backle. The Hitman. The only two players I hate that have worn the Bills uniform, Aaron Maybin and Donte Shitner. And that’s coming from someone that Thurman Thomas told “go ***** yourself kid” in Chefs Restaurant when I was 11.

Brian Brohm was the future. His mechanics were “flawless”. Ive learned a lot since then. -
Happy 73rd Birthday Fergy!

First memories of being a Bills fan were my Dad yelling ”Ferguson is hearing footsteps again Marlene. This guy is hearing footsteps in the wind, Marlene. Get off the field, Ferguson!” -
Brady is John Dutton. Josh Allen is Kayce Dutton. Brady is playing the long game, for Legacy. Allen is playing like this chance may never come again. Brady has always played like he’s been here before. Allen plays like it’s his first time. I love Josh Allen, with all my heart and soul. But Tom Brady made love to me aggressively until I loved him.

Was bringing Hamlin into locker room just a bad call...
RobbRiddicksTDLeap replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some may argue that what you are saying, and the manner in which you are saying it, is the death rattle of critical thinking “in this country”. -
That was harsh. But very accurate. There’s no question that there needs to be some “sizzle” added to this entree. But, where’s the cap space for that? The Von Miller signing really looks bad to me today. It’s one of those deals that’s not going to have the same value next year, as it did this year. And it’s a lot of money. If another DC is brought in, does Miller fit the same way? Hindsight is 20/20, if’s and but’s and all the nuts, I’m just saying that there’s not a lot of money in the cupboard for sizzle, let alone Super Bowl caliber sizzle.

I think the point they were making was that it isn’t complex. No scheme, just a route and get open. So, a guy like Shakir who is a mechanical route runner, and needs to be coached, gets Cole Beasley brought in so that he can learn creativity. It’s bizarre, and I think Dorsey is going to be the fall guy on this one.
-
They’re hammering the offensive play calling and lack of identity. A caller just brought up the lack of creativity in route running. They’re transitioning over to the defense now. I was hoping that the thread would materialize into a conversation for those listening. I have to start work soon, so updates will have to happen organically.
-
They’re going to get to the defense. Right now, they’re on the offense. Dorsey is getting it for lack of an identity. Rightfully so. On to calls now. God speed out there today! I’m wearing my post game sweatshirt today. I’m going to take a bunch of ***** this AM from the Jet/Giant fan Teamsters, but whatever. I know that this team will be back. Go Bills! Audacy is AWFUL. The most unstable platform, and a very ugly and clunky app. You’d hope such a big company would have paid a little bit more on the infrastructure for their business.

Howard is HOT this morning. I can’t blame him. Hammering the offense, more than the defense. It sounds like they’re about to hammer Dorsey now. Sheesh

The Ringer: Josh Allen Needs to Chill
RobbRiddicksTDLeap replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
See, this is the thing. I don’t think you can make him more perfect. This is who he is. Asking him not to use the Canon that God gave him, is going to prevent A LOT of the magic that everyone loves. He’s not Mahomes. He has that mind control over the ball. Allen has that farm strength. Two different and incredibly enviable traits for two entirely different guys. No one would dream of asking Mahomes to stop softball tossing TD’s inside the 3. Like I said, ride or die.
