  1. Watch it again; that's why Tua was hurt; he came down on his back with a big dude on top of him. I think you mean he didn't flamboyantly slam him or whatever. I remember when Miami owned us and won every game against us forever. And I hated Dan Marino and guys like Mark Duper as much as anyone at the time! But come on, man. The rivalry between these 2 franchises is so dead now, your comments don't really add up anymore. Both teams slipped into irrelevancy after the Kelly vs. Marino Wars, and stayed there for 2 decades! Any rivalry that used to exist (and oh how it was a good one) was killed during that time. If I had to name a real rivalry that exists today, I would say New England vs. Bills, certainly not Miami. Or maybe KC vs. Bills! I hope that is the rivalry of the future. We have to actually beat them at some point to make that happen, however.
  2. Not sure why posters of your mentality bother to spend time at a message forum like this. You clearly aren't interested in discussing Bills football, and just want to shout out "Go Bills" between sips of your Bud light. You don't need a message board for that.
  3. I can see some folks doing that for sure. I wouldn't however. I don't know how that would be policed, as long as you get there in time to secure your car's spot in whatever lot you choose to park in.
  4. I'm not totally sure I get the point either, and yes I got the Harding/Shane Shant/Kerrigan incident reference...who didn't? The comment can be interpreted to mean Trubisky is so bad, he may not have been able to win a game in which his opponent scored zero points. So they should have taken Allen out with a pipe blow to the knee to get our backup in the game. I can see why some Bills fans wouldn't get that.
  5. Clean hit, but watch how Tua was slammed down onto his back. I assume all the damage came when he slammed into that turf. It was painful watching it on TV. I'm surprised guys aren't knocked out of games more often than they are, to be honest.
  6. Collinsworth is just like Gruden used to be on Monday nights. Every play is great, every player is special, everything he sees is wonderful. It's so artificial and it functions as hype/advertising for the "Show" of the NFL. Like the NFL is paying Cris a fee to help promote things every game. Thing is, it's a good strategy for a guy in that seat, as I assume he makes maybe even an 8 figure pay check, most of what he says makes his superiors happy, and he almost never says anything negative or controversial so he'll never get in trouble and those pay checks will keep rolling in. The ultimate would be to replace him with Romo and convince Al Michaels to keep going several more years...combined with the superior technical side of the SNF broadcasts, it would probably be the best show in North American sports.
  7. That was brought up on the post-game show on the radio yesterday, and I agree with you, as did the radio folks. 28-0 would have been a great time to park Josh on the bench just to make sure he doesn't get hurt.
  8. Way too early for me to dare predict a final season score. We need to get to week 8 or so before I feel like I know the league. Happens every year.
  9. No, that doesn't make him a home run hitter. I was waiting for him to get caught from behind on the entire run, and yet equally noting that he was moving pretty quickly. He did a great job to get to the finish line. Not close to elite speed, at least measured by NFL standards, though. Remember, elite NFL speed is basically "elite world class track and field" speed. There is so much talent on an NFL football field it's scary. If only a fraction of those guys, when children, would play SOCCER! USA would never lose a World Cup, ever. And I'm not exaggerating. My dream is to have a USA national soccer team with these freak WR types as our forwards. Guys who are 6'3 and 6'4, big, strong dudes, with world class speed. They would out-talent the rest of the world easily. Sorry for the digression; I drank a lot of coffee.
  10. That poor guy is going to get so shot up with pain killing meds before the next game and then they'll see if he can actually throw a football. I hope he stays out for a week or 2. I can feel the pain through the keyboard. Bruised ribs, cracked ribs, broken ribs absolutely suck. Every breath is painful.
  11. Here is something for everyone to consider. A guy playing in Edmunds' spot on the field is in a very privileged position. He should be making plays left and right, simply b/c he is the right guy in the right place to do that. And yet, as the OP notes, watch how often he disappears in games or you never really notice him doing anything special, often for entire games. That's not right and it should tell you something is off.
  12. Everyone's favorite radio announcer Mike Schopp said it best yesterday in the post-game radio show. He suggested that time may prove Josh Allen to not be a Top 3 MVP candidate QB at all...but rather, like many of the QBs on many teams, one of the "better" QBs who is not elite, but good enough to win with. His point being that if we are winning with him, no harm no foul, even if he is not MVP Josh. As time goes on, I think his MVP top 2 or 3 QB in the league performance will prove to be a statistical aberration. I hope I'm wrong. The way Josh has looked his last 5 games or so is much more the "real" Josh Allen than MVP Josh ever was. He'll have another good test against Washington.
  13. We'll never know b/c Tua did get hurt, and quite early! I think it would have been a different game, but with the same outcome. Miami played terribly as a team and had breakdowns all over the place that went beyond QB performance.
  14. This is kind of a stupid premise if I may say. I would rather have both teams be lights out. But yes, if i had to choose, I'd take dominating offense over a dominating defense. The game is structured around that and favors that. The team that wins the SB, yet again this year, will have a lights out offense.
  15. Some of us have been pointing out the merits of point differential (and getting killed for it by the vocal majority here) for years now. It's a better way of determining quality than win/loss record, though many of the good people at this forum can't fathom how that could be true.
  16. Nice. So Buffalo being known as a frozen winter wasteland to most of the country wasn't enough. Now we are also known as the place where idiots jump through tables, probably while on fire. See how one bad apple spoils the bunch?
  17. Washington defense will prevent another good challenge for our offense.
  18. You mean the defense? Last year's team passed the ball better than any Bills team ever. That identity worked for me just fine.
  19. The moment I saw the replay of Tua being back-slammed onto the turf, even I could feel the pain in the ribs and pretty much everywhere else. I knew he would not be back. Huge play, and it came so early on! Would the outcome of the game been different? I bet not, but it would have been a different, closer game IMO. This Miami team today was GOD AWFUL; they played much better last week against NE.
  20. My favorite line was when he said "The defensive coverage has been excellent today, all day long, except for when the coverage was broken." Or something like that. LOL
  21. Both had monster games today, but the guy I am excited about is Rousseau. I have been saying this for a while now; I think he's going to prove to be something special.
  22. No *****. That's because this thread is about Josh's disappointing performance going back into last season. Today was his day to get it together, and he looked terrible.
  23. Why not just have Allen return punts? He's a great runner and tough to bring down. 🤫
  24. Saw a game some time in the early '90s and "Elvis" was sitting like a few seats away from us, kind of near the front left corner of the non-tunnel end zone. LOL
  25. If Allen hits the big bomb for an easy TD that he missed, and we never allow the blocked punt and resulting TD fiasco, it's a different game! Allen was still "confused," or "hampered," or "put off" for much of the game, however. Pittsburgh's approach on D was close to perfect, but they have the personnel to do that. A lot of other teams do not.
