I don't want any of this storm. I want to face KC 1 on 1 and see if we've closed the gap to them this year or not. Yes, all times are obviously local, meaning central. Game starts earlier, which is why 9pm is close to half-time. The relevant factor is when the weather hits (or misses) relative to game time. Right?

Just watched all 3 big TV network weather forecasts from KC. It sounds like around 9pm the weather is going to move in and by midnight it will be very rainy and stormy. So it's just a question of when it gets there and/or if it can hold off until after the game. Sounds like it will arrive around halftime. First half weather will be fine; second half and 4th quarter in particular weather will be bad. That's my guess.

report- Empire State Development downtown stadium proposal
Nextmanup replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's kind of weird, isn't it? Trying to teach WNYers how folks behave outside of the WNY bubble... Like why would you want commerce built up around the stadium experience??? LOL -
It sounds like the rain is continued to be predicted to either hit late in the game, or miss it entirely...with it being a warm, pleasant evening in the 70s before the rain gets there, if it ever does. I hope the rain holds off until just after the final whistle--I don't want weather to have a single thing to do with the outcome of this game.

Carey Price enters NHL/NHLPA player assistance program.
Nextmanup replied to Draconator's topic in Off the Wall
He's a top 3 goalie, league wide, for the last decade. My guess is he is an alcoholic, which is fascinating if true....b/c I have no idea how you could play at his level in the NHL for that long and be an alcoholic. Then again, I just saw a piece on HBO about CC Sebathia. He had his own little routine/ritual down so that he was able to play sober and still have a huge binge drinking problem on off-days. Of course, Sebathia is playing a lot less than Price as a goaltender, but maybe Price worked out a similar type of routine. I don't know. -
The pressure in this game is on our offense, not the D. I think the D will do well, but you have to assume KC will get their 30 or so no matter what happens. But their D is near worst in the league--it's all on Josh to be MVP Josh and score a few more points than they do, or we won't win the game. Maybe our D can keep them to a bit under 30; Josh scores a bit over 30, that's the pass to victory.

The teacher is a "no" for me... But judge Mindy Glazer? 🤔 {On further google image review, nah, she's a pass too}

This coming season has a shot at being the new all-time LOW in franchise history. It's been dead rock bottom several times in recent years, yet I think we might find a new low this year. We should be a terrible team.

I'm a huge Red Sox fan, so I enjoyed the WC victory of NYY of course...and was upset at tonight's pretty thorough trashing in TB...in that damned dome that I can't stand playing in. Stadiums like that with that grass surface should be outlawed for baseball. I expect TB to pound us and that will be that.

Bills/Chiefs Score Predictions Thread
Nextmanup replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am getting a vibe about this game similar to last year's Seattle game. I have enormous respect and FEAR for KC...and yet I think we might actually beat them in this game. Not to be missed here is their D which is near bottom of league, and our D which is top of the league. If Allen shows up and it's the good Allen, I think we'll win 31-20. -
They are not just calling for a little rain--they are calling for a driving rain storm with the stuff coming down sideways! I still think it's too early to really know what will happen or when. Definitely keeping an eye on this, and hoping the weather doesn't impact the game.

It would be unbelievable if he could truly make a jump to that next level and STAY THERE CONSISTENTLY! So far, so good!

The Bills are 3 - 0 with Star plaiyng any thoughts
Nextmanup replied to Jim Steele's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are also 3-0 since I started shaving my nut sack. I think that's where the winning is coming from. -
I hear where you are coming from, but if we play game where we "try to keep the score down" we will get killed. We need to play the way Philly played in their recent SB---taking home run swings and going for it all over the place, all game long. McDermott did NOT coach that way last year in either of our 2 undressings.

I think he represents tremendous unfulfilled potential, though he is getting better at that all the time. His ceiling is huge and I think he could turn into one of the big pass receiving TE threats of the league, because he has the required underlying natural talent to do it. I would love to see him have another big game against KC, where we will need a strong performance from everyone.

I think he's looked pretty fantastic; I've seen him play 3 full games now I think. Remember, he's starting out at ground zero.

What is Wrong with Steve Belichick?
Nextmanup replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would suggest he is mildly on the spectrum as they say these days. Kind of a weird guy, almost certainly wouldn't be in his current position if he wasn't the son of BB. I really do think BB is trying to groom him to be the HC of the Patriots when BB retires; I don't see that going well. -
