  1. I said 20-30% jelly. I think the idea should be to load up on the PB, and then just a quick knife "scoop" of jelly smeared over the top of the PB. I also much prefer strawberry jelly to grape or some other flavor. Also: "Creamy" PB any day over "Crunchy" PB!

    Bored.

Bored while doing nothing at "work" is the life blood of this forum! Pull up a stool and stay a while!
  3. Looking where we are now and looking ahead, I have 14-3. This season is going to be about locking up home field advantage throughout the playoffs and following a short path to the Super Bowl, and then what we do in the post-season. What will we do with it?
  4. Probably in the minds of half this board, "yes."

  6. As far as I know, some have suggested there is a real officiating bias against the away team. The theory is that the refs are--even on a subconscious level--trying to make the home crowd happy by ruling in favor of the home team, particularly with regard to really close plays. Or something like that. I also definitely think there is a bias that favors the proven, established, winning team over a team the is perceived to be not nearly as good. The idea is that the better player on the better team is less likely to have to commit a foul, so the official is less likely to call it on him. The bad player on the bad team is more likely to have to commit the foul, so he gets called more frequently. This would all be taking place on a subconscious level as well, most likely. How any of this would be proven, I don't know.
  7. I always found the "Tomahawk Chop" to be pretty cool when the entire stadium is doing it in Tallahassee. As far as I know, they invented it. Maybe that's wrong. I find it stupid when they copy it in KC.
  8. There is nothing about this time period that a lot of us don't remember from the late '80s and into the 1990s. For those who were around then, this time period feels about the same. If we win a SB, yes, that will be different. My dad passed away in 2003 and he'd be the first person I'd want to celebrate with.
  9. Collinsworth follows the Jon Gruden School of Commentary, in which everything he focuses on can only be described with superlatives. "Oh my, he is sooo good. How can you stop that?" This is how he speaks for the entire game about everyone and everything. He is supposed to be a commentator on the game, not a salesman for the game. There is no distinguishable barrier between Collinsworth the individual commentator and Collinsworth the business entity that profits from the success of NFL football in general. Everything becomes great, awesome, incredible, and it's all false and disingenuous. I love Al Michaels. If only they would throw out CC and replace him with Romo--you'd have the best show in TV sports.
  10. The only thing I know about Japanese funerals is that they wear all white and not black to them. Everything is pretty much 180 degrees the opposite in that culture, which is why I've been fascinated by it since I was a young teenager. I'll check out "Departures." Thanks!
  11. I loved it and love the dedication to Rush. But my favorite part of the whole video is the cursive spelling of "OHIO" and all the fanfare of the sousaphone player who gets to go out and "dot the I." I've been watching that my whole life and it doesn't get old! 4 out of 4 stars.
  12. The difference came, for me, last year against SEATTLE. Ever since that game, I've been 100% on board the Bills train and have faith they will show up for the big ones--even if they didn't quite do that in the AFC Championship game last year. We got the best of the Chiefs last night, but the Chiefs are not what they were the last couple of years. Look at their record. I now wonder how we might stack up against TB. But the old days of being worried that we'll fall apart under the pressure of the big game are long gone.
  13. Would love to see us in the 40s
  14. This game has been HORRIBLY officiated tonight
  15. this drive is busting their balls
  16. Any watch enthusiasts here? It looks to me like Drew Brees is wearing a Panerai luminor.
  17. Brees actually said "square or rectangle" which makes no sense...though he did then catch himself and say "triangle". I would say strawberry over grape, and 80% PB to 20% jelly seems right to me. Diagonal cuts.
