Josh did a nice job of showing the DB where he was going with the ball so he ignored the deep threat and cheated up to go where the ball went. If Josh sells that better with a head fake, etc., and throws an accurate pass, it's a TD. Leaving points on the board is part of why you lose close games to good teams.

Is this finally the year we make a big push for offense?

...As long as you don't piss away substantial draft capital on a RB! -
Officiating is terrible; it's consistently bad; it impacts both teams in the games. Over the course of a season, it probably more or less evens out. It is there as a problem to be overcome for ALL TEAMS. You KNOW it will be a problem. It's up to each team to fight through the best they can. It's ridiculous to keep making this an issue, though this board will continue to B word about this FOREVER.

It was the 37 yard line! With :26 as you write. That could have made it really interesting. The holding call was terrible. Killed 8 seconds and 10 yards! Then a false start! They just shot themselves in the foot.

What I saw, and why I am actually optimistic after this Bucs game

So the attitude of BB is enough to sway the outcome of the game? He'll rub it in his face? What does that even mean in the context of a 60 minute football game? This is a bunch of gibberish. -
Game Week: Week 15 Carolina Panthers at Bills thread
Nextmanup replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We win out, we have a 100% chance of making playoffs. We win 3 "easy" games but lose to NE, we have about 88% chance of making playoffs. We are still looking good, as long as we actually start winning! -

I have a feeling Josh plays and he's more or less OK. IF so, we'll beat Carolina by more than 2 touchdowns. If Josh is out, we can still win, but the game will be a different sort of challenge. Have to win it, one way or the other though. -
Bills will win out. And then...anything can happen
Nextmanup replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thing is, we are about to play 3 teams who will be at least 10 point underdogs. And then you have NE who we can beat given an ability to throw with a much better QB. We can EASILY win the next 4 games, and I think we will. If we don't, or lose one of the "easy" games...that's when this place will come off the hinges, and perhaps it should. One thing is for sure: the put up or shut up time for the team is RIGHT NOW. Have to win NOW. NO more "get 'em next week" games. -

Or maybe we aren't very well coached, and the difference between coaches is the difference in a win or loss, especially in a close game against a good team that is well coached. If we are getting blown out, or doing the blowing out (Miami 35-0 for example) coaching doesn't matter. Tampa, New England, Tennessee, it's the difference in the outcome. -
Don't think so. It's an interesting question which the Bills will have to face at some point this week, unless Josh isn't that injured and he heals up pretty quickly. You can ask this question with any injured athlete. At what % of impairment does the starter's performance diminish enough to make the backup the preferred option? Who really knows. I think Josh will play on Sunday, and that will be the end of it. Won't stop posters here from harping on about his "boot" all week long though, apparently.

But drunks are certainly welcome! No one on "dope" ever hurt a soul. Alcohol is the real killer, and that's perfectly legal! And guns! LOL

Our coach is Mike McCarthy with no hair.

Big McDermott fan, huh? -
Not true at all, but it won't stop posters from repeating this all over this board. 😢

I would propose eliminating the entire "review" process. No second looks for anything. The game would be just as poorly called as it is now, only it would move along much faster.
-
For some reason, people think RBs exist in their own bubble out on the field. Good ones get big runs, bad ones don't. Big runs almost always equate to "huge holes" and the RB has nothing to do with that.
-
Actually, I think people would! Officiating is discussed here constantly, win, lose, or draw, and there is always a certain faction of fans that believe the Bills are specifically targeted as part of a conspiracy. Then you have the theories about games being rigged by the NFL to promote certain Super Bowl matchups, etc.

I have a feeling we keep him for that final year, but do not re-sign him beyond that.

All officiating teams and performances are reviewed by the league and graded, in an effort to keep quality up. Only the best crews get to work playoff games, and the Super Bowl is officiated by the "best" officials, in theory. If an official was consistently really poorly graded, I would like to think he would not be asked back to continue working.
