Is this finally the year we make a big push for offense?

"Bethel didn’t have a scale that would register higher than 400 pounds, so when Jasper needed to monitor his progress in trying to lose weight, he’d go to the McKenzie Feed & Grain Store." “He’d step up on our platform feed scale and customers would start coming over, gathering to see what he weighed,” said Dan Bradford, owner of the store. “We’d have a big time with it.” "Bethel listed Jasper at 390 pounds, but he was actually quite a bit bigger than that." I don't know how Bills fans don't come away from the first game feeling somewhat good about the second. It was a very close, tight game, the weather was ridiculously extreme, and yet the game was sitting right there, waiting for to take it and put it in the win column, ALL NIGHT LONG. Repeat the game but eliminate the crazy weather and we are the better team and the likely winner. IMO of course! Will be tough and tight, no doubt, but very winnable.

What does "staying reasonable" mean within the context of being a sports fan at this point in the season? We need to win 3 out of our last 4, and winning all 4 would be a lot better than that. Now is the time to be enthusiastic and support the team. Who needs to "remain reasonable" and what is the benefit? If/when it all goes bad, we will all have a very long off-season to analyze in detail! If we lose one of the 3 remaining "easy" games, this place will go off the rails. Until then, enjoy and cheer on!

I would, but there's very little here I find appealing. 😃

We need a photo of this little Bills fan, and you have tell us what her name is.

Suban straight up stole us a point last night in Pittsburgh; he was superb. We had no business with any points last night, but goaltending can do that for you. His behind the back miracle save was one of the greatest I have ever seen. We got great goaltending the last 4 games and have 6 of 8 points to show for it. If UPL sticks around and can remain at this level of play, we could be a dark horse for making a playoff run. Unlikely, but possible with much better goaltending.

As I point out here every time this topic comes up, big time soccer leagues around the world, including Italy, have fallen victim to this type of thing; no reason why it couldn't happen in the NFL. And it's always with the refs being bought; it's the easiest way for an outsider to control the outcome of the game. I.E., if you are looking for corruption in the NFL, follow what the officials are doing. That's where you'll find it.

I tend to record all non-Bills games on the DVR and watch them 1 or 1.5 hours after they begin, so I can fly through all the BS, delays, timeouts, commercials, half time shows, injury delays, challenge delays, etc. It's the only way to watch a football game. That 5pm start would mean I could sit down to watch at like 7pm instead of 9:30 or 10pm, which would be great.

Without seeing his employment K, it's pretty worthless arguing one way or the other. I'm just glad they are taking this path, more or less to screw the guy over. He seems like the kind of guy who has gone through life accruing bad karma.

Yeah but we have already dropped more than 1 we should win (considering the season as a whole). So I'm assuming that's done now and we will win one we should lose (at New England). The remaining 3 games are easy against 10 point dogs; we'll beat those teams easily. It all adds up to a 4-0 finish for the Bills. 🤪

The path that is easiest to get behind (right now) and which makes the most sense is for the Bills to win out, including New England...and for New England to lose tonight against INDY. And so we in the AFC EAST. And just like that, we have saved a disappointing season and are preparing to host our first playoff game. So that is the scenario I am actively cheering for.

This doesn't mean rushing = winning because it is somehow a superior strategy to passing. It means that when teams go into the lead, they rush a lot, to kill clock. So when you are winning, you rush. When you are losing, you probably don't run so much. Don't get too caught up in the idea rushing = we will win.

I prefer it red on white helmet to be honest, but to each his own. I'm sure a lot of people would HATE this because it's the opposite of "old school," but I have to say, I LOVE THE CHROME with the modern logo! It's in the University of Oregon/Seattle Seahawk vein of "bling" but in a modern, cool way.

Don't think so, as this is not just another coach getting fired. It's uglier than that, and sponsors aren't going to want to be associated with this guy. He's got plenty of money; he doesn't need to do anything. He can write another book.

AFC Wildcard Rooting Interests Week 15
Nextmanup replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Chiefs seem to have fixed their "failed" year nicely. No reason we can't do the same thing. 4 wins to finish and the AFC East title would be excellent given the way this season has played out. And we'd be peaking at the right time, heading into playoffs on a 4 game streak, which is perfect. Gotta do it though! No more talk; must perform now.
