We don't get a lot of quotes from "Maud Muller" around here. Well done! 🤝

Are you kidding? The memory of this board is usually about 1 game long. After the Tampa loss, spirits were really down and a lot of brilliant posters were calling for a total rebuild of the team, focusing on more "toughness" and they were asking why were not built to win in the cold. In the post game thread, I said "no big deal...we are still in good shape...and I expect us to win out and win the division." And I got laughing icons on my post, like I'm the idiot... Of course, we did win out and win the division, and were 13 seconds away from probably a SB appearance, once we finished off the Bengals. Funny thing is, you don't see a lot of threads now calling for a total team rebuild and asking why we are not built for winning in cold weather.

Current interest in the NFL in Germany is much less than this board's interest in the Budesliga, if that helps put things in perspective. Of course, that is precisely what the NFL is trying to change. But man, that's a long road to hoe. Gary Bettman has been ruining NHL hockey for 30 years trying to make the sport appeal to those who do not care about it, while at the same time ruining it for those who do. I fear the NFL could go down a similar path.

That may well be true, but it doesn't apply to the Tragedy of the 13 Seconds. It is impossible to overact to that. It's a cluster-$*#& of almost infinite magnitude. Or simply be replaced by someone better. Any of the above work just fine for me. I'm not his wife or his agent...I care about the Buffalo Bills---not any individual on the team.

Better Call Saul - final season April 18,2022
Nextmanup replied to davefan66's topic in Off the Wall
Just finished the new season of "Ozark" and will be looking forward to BCS for sure. I can't recall a better spinoff show, ever. Currently greatly enjoying the new season of "Euphoria" on HBO. -
Of course he is! He's responsible for pretty much everything. That's how it works. It's the same reason why the captain of a ship in the Navy's career ends the moment his ship runs aground, despite having absolutely nothing to do with the captain himself, most likely.

I'll say step forward, though it came very late in the season. I'm talking about Josh's 2 playoff games, where he rose to yet a new level. I don't expect him to stay at that level all the time, but if he can come close.... Also, it's just a quirk of the seeding system that our game in KC came when it did; it could--and probably should--have been the AFC Championship game for the 2nd year in a row.

How about your Glock or Beretta? 🤣 Personally, I would rush to the kitchen and grab an 8" chef's knife. Why would I reach for this? B/C that's what everyone reaches for in every movie I've ever seen. Actually, the good way to get yourself killed in this scenario is to own and reach for your 9mm as the OP mentioned. Statistically speaking anyway.

Released in 1997 near as I can tell, and best left in the last millennium. It's worth mentioning that Hasselhoff isn't really that big in Germany anymore. For more modern phenomenon, check out DJ Ötzi's "Ein Stern." Or anything from Helene Fischer. Her huge hit is "Atemlos durch die Nacht." You can't turn on German TV without running into her for quite a few years now. Richard Noggin, just remembered this one! You'll love it!

I've offered $50,000, CASH. Fingers crossed.

Josh Allen's last 2 games of the year were spectacular. And as I write here all the time, this board has a memory @ 1 game long...LOL So yes, people think of our offense as being unstoppable and will expect it to be that way every game. They have already forgotten that games like Jacksonville, Indy, and Tennessee happened.

2021 Bills ST coach Heath Farwell joins the Jags
Nextmanup replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
He might be a fall guy, he might be the single reason why we lost the game! McDermott would never talk and let the fans know what went wrong. I think it's pretty obvious that the kick we got is not the kick that was ordered. Maybe the chain of communication broke with Farwell. It's GOOD to know there is some accountability for a mistake that severe. -
Same. I guess this something about fiber optics? That's the future for sure, but they have to get it in the ground first, and that can take a while in a country this freaking big.

"Tubular Bells" is definitely creepy, but it might be the only truly creepy song I've seen so far. I don't know what the OP had in mind, but I assume "creepy" means a song that makes you scared, simply by the way it sounds aesthetically. Which I would distinguish from "creepy ideas embedded in the lyrics" or a "creepy idea for a song or song title" etc. Here's my contribution for a song that I would suggest is genuinely creepy---particularly the very beginning. This is one of my favorites. Used to blast this out the window on Halloween night!

I don't think Tre White cares nearly as much about the incident as your average Bills fan. Stuff like that is all part of the job, and these guys are professionals. If Gronk joined the Bills, he and Tre would kiss and make up within 5 minutes...assuming there's any bad blood between them now.

I think this is blossoming into an interesting discussion, and the fanbase is definitely divided over the topic. A certain % of Bills fans (most?) effectively feel comfortable with McDermott being here for the next 10-15 years. This is based on what he's achieved so far and mostly b/c he is the guy who turned the franchise around. The thinking with this group is that McDermott is effectively as good a HC as you're going to find, so why change? Especially when you consider the benefit that continuity brings to the team... Then you have the other faction of the fanbase that wants more than McDermott, IF we don't ____________ in the next few years. The "blank" will vary from person to person. "Appear in a SB" might be the answer for a lot of fans. Others might demand a SB victory. Other fans will be happy if we keep making the playoffs annually but bowing out before winning it all. If we DO win a SB in the next couple of years, this whole thing will go away and McDermott will be here for his entire career. If we bow out, say, 2 more years in a row, it will get a lot more interesting. I think Pegula will hold him to a "win it all" standard at some point. As noted up-thread, this is still (at least 2? 3?) years down the road, however.

I have no recollection of this game whatsoever! I would not have been at it, but if it was blacked out I would definitely have been listening to the radio broadcast with my dad, sitting in the living room, hanging on Van's every word. Still don't remember it, which is weird.

They are just dying to make American football an international phenomenon. As I keep saying in these threads, why make billions when you can make hundreds of billions? 🤢 🤮 👎

Finally watched this one. LMFAO! "Slow down Pee Wee! Oh Lordy!" The problem with these types of vehicles is they have enormously high CGs, they have extremely short wheelbases, and they have incredibly soft suspensions and balloon tires for off-road use. I.E., they are just dying to flip, tip over, and go out of control. On top of that, some of them have quite a bit of power. And then they are ridden, often, by people looking to have fun who have never had a proper performance driving school in their lives, and have no idea of the basic physics affecting driving dynamics. I have no idea what the death rate on these things is each year in the USA, but I assume it's relatively high.

Aaron Rodgers to the Titans ?? [Titans say "No"]
Nextmanup replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
😲 🤦♂️ You would huh? 🤦♂️ -
Your story made it sound like you didn't know the outcome of the crash, which implies you didn't stick around. If you were there with others and giving statements to police etc., didn't anyone comment on the condition of the driver in the hit car? I guess not! Anyway, stay alert out there and be glad it wasn't you! I had a woman turn left in front of me about a year ago...totally insane move like she was trying to commit suicide. We hit head on @ 45 MPH. Totalled both cars and broke my left foot in 3 places... Watch out! People are idiots.
