Will Bills Make it to Detriot Rested for the Game?
Nextmanup replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why are people still talking bout "will the team make it to Detroit in time?" This thread is now moot. They made it. The game is coming up soon. Move your f-ing lives forward. -
Taking a shot at me huh? I'm the ONLY guy on this board who consistently has your back. Maybe you are just an idiot.

Predicting another bad loss, eh?
-
This loss and the 8 game losing streak is disappointing. I was hoping the team have developed beyond doing something like this. This is the sort of thing we were seeing here for a decade with tank rosters and some of the worst coaches in Sabres history. This thing is probably going to get to double digits. They are just not playing the same way they started the season. 🤷♂️
-
I think their "compete" is actually pretty solid tonight, but their play is not focused. 4-1 as we head into the 3rd. Looks like the streak continues. This ***** is getting stupid. The kids out there tonight were NOT here a decade ago. A lot of them weren't here either last year or the year before that. They are the youngest roster in the league.

Just reading the last couple pages of this tripe. What a toxic place this is. 👎 -

Isn't it "no rest for the wicked" ??? Then you also have the good, the bad, and the ugly. 🤷♂️ -
I've lived in SE FL now for 8 years. I've never paid more attention to the weather than since living here, when there's a hurricane scare. I find the modern computer models to be amazingly accurate. The European model is always better than the US version. I've closely followed 3 or 4 huge storm systems now with a close eye on the weather forecast and they are really quite good!

Depends on how you define "results." As some point, his "results" are going to need to be better than they have been to date. He should be replaced if he can't get us a championship, and as I have been saying for 2 or 3 years now, the day will come when Pegula will have to make that decision. Unless we win a SB first, of course! Another couple years of not winning it all, or maybe not even getting a SB appearance, and I would pray to God he'd be on the hot seat if not canned.

Similarities between the 2021 season and 2022
Nextmanup replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
All the games are equally important. But I agree, if we drop losses to Cleveland and Detroit, our season is likely done. Even then, if they can manage to get into the playoffs, they can win the tournament. We have the power to do it! -
3-0 after 1; I feel like we are watching yet another season drift away in November. Check out Leafs' goalie Matt Murray; he's wearing old school black blades. So far that's the highlight of the game for me.

I more or less agree, and said the same in one of these threads recently. Chubb may be the best pure runner in the game right now, and Cleveland has a solid run game. We also have a bad run defense. And yet, if Josh does his job, none of it will matter at all. Only way his (presumably successful) running can hurt us is if the offense screws around again, we have more turnovers, and we are NOT putting points on the board. In a low scoring world, Cleveland could beat us. If we perform well, they will not able to match our scoring.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Nextmanup replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
How does that piece of news relate to a thread about rumored internal problems with the Bills organization? -
I'm not a meteorologist, but I would imagine a dumping of this magnitude wouldn't have been impacted one way or the other by ground temperature. I guess it might have lessened it a small amount, like an inch or something...but maybe not. This is one of those things we'll never know.

Well, I grew up in WNY and love beer. Any of that stuff is more or less ballerina piss. Mainstream American beer (and Canadian) is undrinkable. It's not really "beer" by the international standards of what beer is. But like everything food/drink related, if the individual likes it, it's good enough, and the one to go with. Drink what you enjoy! -

The plane ride out of the airport is the easiest part of the process. If they can all get to the practice facility, a bus can get them all to the airport. -
That man could be OBJ! The race to get him is not over, but for a while now I have been thinking it will not happen. Earlier I was more positive about it.

I agree, but there are people here who have straight up stated they will not pull for the Patriots. Even if it meant sort of "cheering" against the best interests of a Bills fan!

Will Bills Make it to Detriot Rested for the Game?

Well that's anti-climactic! Everyone has been talking about the impossibility of getting to Detroit! -
This reminds me of a good friend who went through high school and college with me. He was not good enough to play football at the college level, but he was naturally a big guy. He was 6"5" and came in at like 285. He was lifting weights in college just to see if he could get up to 300 LBs, b/c he thought it would be cool if he got to 300 lbs. One day at college, a cold winter climate, I saw him walking into the building wearing a t-shirt. It was probably like 35 degrees out. I and everyone around us were bundled up with winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, whatever...it was winter. I asked him why the hell he was in a t-shirt and he said "I love weather like this; this is the only time of year when I'm not hot and sweaty all the time." And indeed, he basically didn't wear a coat during the winter. I guess it's different for these really big guys. Anyone else here that big and who doesn't wear a coat when it's cold out?

Don't think too hard about this. This is one of those classic thought experiments that has no "correct" answer. In some ways, you are eating meat, and arguments can be made that this factory grown crap is basically still "meat." Then again, you can argue it is NOT meat, as you are doing, and your arguments are valid too. I am a huge food snob and love to cook. I can assure you I would never buy such a product, for what that's worth. Then again, most of the food available to Americans today in a grocery store environment is garbage that I would not buy or eat. I would urge everyone to keep it simple and natural; spend your time in the fresh meat, fresh fish, fresh produce areas, and skip pretty much the rest. At some point you'll have to venture down aisle 9 for a bag of rice, or some cans of tomatoes and things like that; that's OK too. As I always say, try not to buy food that comes in cardboard. I also like to avoid anything frozen, but sometimes that can a solid option too. A frozen bag of corn is not going to kill you, but I'd rather get fresh ears and cut the corn off myself. If the corn is not in season and not there, don't eat corn.

Former Bills player AJ McCarron drafted by XFL St. Louis Battlehawks
Nextmanup replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never saw that, so thanks! I LOVED THAT! He's even working the sponsor into the call, what's not to love. I wouldn't describe the AJ's GF incident "cringy as F" but it was slightly awkward at the time; I remember watching it live and thinking "I can't believe he's dwelling on this for as long as he is." I love it b/c it came at a point in his career when he simply doesn't give a damn anymore, and he was openly flying the bird at his corporate masters, even with his career on the line. Have to respect that. -
If this game was being moved to downtown Chicago to play at Soldier Field, there would likely be a similar conversation here about how everyone should bring a bullet proof vest and pack heat. You know, because Chicago is the murder capital of the planet. Which it may actually be! I have good friends who live in "Little Russia" in Chicago in a very urban area and we visit them a couple times a year...stay for 3 days, and do tons of stuff all over that city. Chicago is one of my favorite spots on Earth. So much to do...and so SAFE. People are actually polite there with that friendly Midwestern thing going on. My buddy (who lives there) always jokes about those who know nothing about Chicago think everyone is ducking when they get out of the car for fear of being killed in a drive-by. In reality, ALL the violence is contained within a small section of the South Side and normal people don't get anywhere near that anyway. The entire HUGE metro area outside of that is no different than anywhere else. But the media doesn't talk about that, b/c it doesn't sell papers, so to speak. Kind of like when it was 73 degrees in Buffalo a week ago (?) in November! No news story on that. Buffalo gets 10 feet of snow in 2 hours? Headlines across America.
