  1. True, but sloppy conditions always favor the weaker team. It helps to close the gap between teams. Good teams should hate bad weather.
  2. I can't believe the condition of the field in this video! It's like they didn't have a grounds crew trying to keep it nice.
  3. Sal C. at Gr-55 has suggested that something like this might be the case on air. Not that he knows, but it's like there's more to the story than we know.
  4. I hope he gets it back this week too. However, I disagree with your reasons for why this might be likely. Who knows how long it will take for his elbow to heal; playing at home doesn't mean much and it can be argued he is better on the road; the dramatic back story of a game (avenging a loss) may make sense to a fan, but that's completely immaterial to the players. They are trying as hard as they can every week. Allen is still not right. He did look a lot better last game though. I also hope he keeps improving and gets back to his playoff form from last year fast. We'll need it against the Jets, Fish, and especially the Bengals. And I don't think we can afford to lose another game this year.
  5. Is that possible? I thought there was a rule you had to draft a defensive tackle with your first pick.
  6. Nah, she was too big for a bit role like that at the time of the next 47 films. Off topic, but I thought the very first Star Trek movie was really cool; totally different in thematic content and vibe to the TV show and the rest of the films; it stands alone among ALL of them as its own animal as is by far the best.
  7. I totally agree with you. His impact on games is greatly overestimated by fans. Of the really big names to lose for the year, he would be my first choice. If Josh or Diggs go down, we're done. Von? We'll be fine.
  8. The field looks like it's in great shape!
  9. So you pretty much missed the entire Super Bowl era! What a shame. I will watch that game later; I would have seen it for sure; it will be interesting to see if I remember anything!
  10. Dawkins being out is not good. This will have a far greater impact on the game than Von Miller being out IMO.
  11. Didn't know he played for Tampa! That doesn't bode well; maybe he's totally shot now. I'm not sure of the technicalities on his status. Maybe we should look elsewhere.
  12. I wouldn't have known it but look at this photo! No names on their backs. Just found this online: note that it 1) has the name (incorrectly) and 2) the font of the number 17 is totally wrong! Compare the "17"s on the jerseys:
  13. Beasley is officially "retired" right now, right? Maybe they are looking to re-sign him for a late season/playoff push. If he has stayed in shape we could actually use him, especially if OBJ goes to Dallas.
  14. Yeah that was him. I saw his photo and remembered him as either working a laptop or possibly the laser that cut into the vault--or maybe both. Sort of the nerdy guy who was doing technical stuff.
  15. Yeah, why not steal that interest free loan from now until the date you would have paid next year. Right? These a-holes better issue refunds! And I don't have a ticket.
  16. Of course we are one of the unluckiest teams in the league. When was it ever easy to be a Bills fan?
  17. God I'd rather send that cash somewhere else.
  18. One small point: it sounds great when you describe our win on opening night as against the defending Super Bowl champions. It's actually much more accurate to say we beat a terrible team on the downswing, which is what they are. Don't forget, 4 turnovers in that game! It wasn't as great a performance as folks remember. I thought we were phenomenal against Tennessee though; where that team went I don't know. It's been gone now for 5 games I think.
  19. Being blind is never commendable.
  20. They were good enough to beat us! We have a better win percentage than that.
  21. "Fish/Dolphins" does this mean Miami is going to play itself?
  22. So I assumed this was about Officer Al Powell, who I loved in Die Hard. Nope! Wrong guy. He's still alive and ticking at age 70. RIP Clarence.
  23. I am guessing like 3 corporations, tops, own all cereal sold in America. They probably don't need to advertise. When was the last time you saw a Ferrari commercial on TV? I've been a hardcore Ferrari fan since about 1985. I have never seen one and to my knowledge, none has ever been produced. I remember back in the world economic crisis of 2007-2008, Ferrari had a 4 year wait list for their new model at the time, which cost like $235,000. Two things we can glean from this: 1) for the rich, there is no such thing as a recession. 2) Ferrari doesn't need to advertise. Maybe it's the same with Lucky Charms!
  24. No organization, perhaps other than Buffalo or Cleveland, is going to remain pure garbage forever. It's just coincidental that the Jets and Fish have improved dramatically at the same time. NE is still on a downward trajectory from a macro perspective, though they will always be a tough out as long as BB is coaching. Their defense is solid too.
