Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football
Nextmanup replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If that snow forecast up-thread is accurate (5 inches tailgating, 8 inches by kickoff, another 4 in the game itself), this game is going to be TOTAL GARBAGE. We'll win because we are the better team, but the score will be low and close and it will be like watching the Mickey Mouse Club all over again, as we did with that Indy Colts game a few years ago. Just total garbage. -

Your comments here, generally speaking, stand out like a shining light is a darkness of ignorance and homerism. Almost no one here (other than me and maybe 3 others) gets this. It's nice to know someone does. Listen to Sal C.'s questions in post-game press conferences. He literally asks, soft, juicy, leading questions as though he is trying to help the interview subject with his answer. "Coach, it must have been rewarding to see the defensive backfield play so well now that it's gotten healthier, wasn't it?" Yeah, that's a great question Sal. Sal is jock strap sniffing pro football player wannabe, who thinks he is actually a PART of the team and the NFL because he is allowed to watch some practices and walk around on the sideline gathering information for the radio broadcast. He thinks he's on the team and he is "in the NFL." It's kind of sad.- 604 replies

Nah, that's just a testament to the power of alcohol. Don't worry, it's a completely harmless drug and it's OK that's its legal and everywhere in our society.

Speaking of Florida, not that far from now, Miami is going to be under water. I'm not sure a lot of people understand that. When stuff like this starts going down, people will start to catch on, but not before. That's how this country works; we move forward only when we have to as a response to crises.

You guys have to see this "12 year old" football player...
Nextmanup replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have noticed for years that many guys who are born with the body needed to make it to the NFL seem to age way prematurely. That's part of what gives them that huge body at like age 20. The downside of this is they often look like old men when they are 45. And I'm not just talking about being pounded in the game of football. They have a premature aging gene. Nothing grosser than men with a lot of hair on their backs. Luckily, my body never went there. -

I have a lot of Italian blood in me, as did many of my classmates at my catholic grammar school (that was largely filled with Italian Americans) in the Town of Tonawanda. A whole bunch of us started to shave our mustache area when we were in the 7th grade. I think I would have been 12 too. For some reason, that's where the whiskers seem to come in first. I didn't have to shave more than my mustache area. It took a year or so for it to start coming in elsewhere. -
My short response is I would love to see us expend heavy assets this off-season on a true "1a" receiver to be a double deadly threat with Diggs. Buy a stud free agent or use first round pick on stud with size and speed in the draft. QB, receiving group, and OL should be top 3 priorities for the team at all times. McD being who he is, I bet we take a DT with our first pick.

NFL Rules on Heaters For Sidelines?
Nextmanup replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
LOL. I live in Palm Beach Gardens. IT's 86 right now; I'm about to leave for my daily walk on the beach in bathing shorts and nothing else. There are "seasons" in FL, but they are mild and subtle. I grew up and lived in Buffalo for 28 years. I would DIE if I had to go up there on Saturday. Now, 60 degree weather feels like -10 to me. I've gone "Floridian." Dear God. -
Is There So Little Love for Tremaine Edmunds?
Nextmanup replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
NO. He'll get a LOT of money from someone, and I hope it's not us. I'm not sure we can fit him into the (financial) scheme anyway. Find a baller with speed in the draft and replace him for peanuts. There are a lot of good LBs running around this country. -
God, he really seems to enjoy wearing his cheesy yellow gold Breitling Navitimer. Give that thing a rest already.

NFL Rules on Heaters For Sidelines?
Nextmanup replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Guys and gals, the advantage lies in the fact that the Bills players are deep into the season and they are living (at least for now) in WNY. The Fish are living in Miami, where it is summer year round. Buffalo weather is going to be a HUGE shock to them, whereas the Bills are accustomed to it now. Heaters or not, the Fish are going to be miserable in this game! Tua grew up in HAWAII! He went to school at ALABAMA! He plays in MIAMI! How many days has he been exposed IN HIS LIFE to garbage winter weather? -
It's Miami Week! You know what that means...HAIKU

I wonder how many posters in this thread actually care about what he said against women, and how many just hate Jerry Sullivan for daring to criticize their beloved Bills when they were a league embarrassment, and figure this is their best shot to get rid of him for once and for all. 90% of the posts on this board are pure hate inspired, one way or the other. Lots of posters spend ALL their time attacking other posters! They don't even comment on the damned team or game of football. -
Johnny, I'm guessing you may be changing the direction of your shaving strokes depending on if you have a beard or not. I'm not sure every guy knows this, but hair grows out of your neck/face in various directions, it has a "grain." And it changes from location to location on your face/neck. You may have been shaving with grain (correctly) with no beard, but the beard forces you to go the opposite direction to clean up the edge, against the grain. Going against the grain causes inflammation and bumps and problems, and you should be changing your direction of shaving all over your face depending on where you are to go with YOUR grain at that particular location. Do you think any of this explains the situation? It's kind of interesting!

It's not about records for us this year. It's about the way we are playing in our playoffs games, and the matchups we end up with. The entire season goes in the trash can for Playoff Game 1. If we can find a way to play our best football for a few games in January, we'll get to the Super Bowl.

I hate the Bills Schedule - Is this done on purpose?
Nextmanup replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Like what? Secret wind blowing machines in use when Miami is on offense? -
I recall "talking" to you before about shaving. Have you made the move to using an old fashioned safety razor? You should be able to trim your beard with that without getting irritation and bumps. I seem to recall reading somewhere that this type of thing can actually be the result of bacteria or some such living on the edge of your razor. The idea is to keep your razor out of the shower and DRY. And rotate blades routinely. If you go the safety razor route, you can get blades for like 20 cents a pop. And they are sharp and deliver the best shave you'll get. After about 3 uses, I chuck them and get another. Some safety razor guys insist on using a new blade every time they shave. I think that is excessive, but you can afford to do it if you want to. The best/sharpest blades in the world are FOR SURE made by a Japanese company called "FEATHER." If I'm using Feather blades I get a good 3-4 uses and then replace. If you got a safety razor and 100 feather blades and rotate them frequently, and keep everything dry, I think your razor bump problem would cease.

If the offense keeps struggling does Dorsey get fired ?
Nextmanup replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we look really bad in the playoffs and have a quick departure, for sure I would expect someone to pay the price for that. I'm hoping we go the opposite direction and light up in the playoffs with a solid push... -
Funny you post this; this is one of my all-time favorite, go-to videos on youtube. I rank it right up there with "JANICE! JANICE! STOP IT! STOP IT!"

Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
Nextmanup replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
The funny thing is your comment fits this thread too, if you feel that it's absurd we are signing Beasley out of retirement. The move smacks of desperation... If he makes some big grabs, I'll take it! -
I sort of liked what you did until the talking started. Overall, it lacks pace and energy for this type of thing. It comes across as tense and suspenseful, sort of. You want ENERGY for this type of thing.

Knocking down historic architecture in favor of a new parking lot is kind of what Buffalo does best.

Six goals in a PERIOD for the second time in about a week! People not watching the game will see 6-0 and assume it was a lopsided blowout. Not so! Very evenly fought affair (and boring) for the first 2 periods. And then the eruption in the third.
