  1. A generic Josh feel good thread? Great.
  2. I'm around here enough and I don't really recall anyone harping on this point. BTW: last year was our year.
  3. There was a promo thing that Tyrod and Michael Vick did some years ago. In it, Tyrod was telling the story of the two of them making throws on a field together and Vick being amazed at the throws Tyrod was making, and Vick was saying "I can't make throws like that." So Vick has basically stated Tyrod has a better arm. I'd add Brett Favre to the original list.
  4. What a horrible take!
  5. The Bills have set the standard very high, that's the problem. We aren't just happy to maybe make it to the playoffs like the good old days. We are talking about seriously trying to win the Super Bowl. People who are worried are not thinking about Detroit on Thanksgiving; they are worried about playing at KC for the all the marbles in January. And playing like THIS, THEN is not going to work.. We've been off for what? 4 or 5 games now? Anyway, you're the one who mentioned it; I don't wan to continue to discuss the Bills in this thread. Yeah, but the plethora of commercials add a nice touch, don't they?
  6. My God the commercials are just relentless. Every time I end up watching a game live, I am reminded of this. The game is 3 hours of commercials briefly interrupted from time to time by a handful of football plays.
  7. For that single play, sure. The problem goes way beyond anything that happened today though. It's much more of a macro problem than that.
  8. I posted this graphic in the game-day thread. As of January 9, 2021, this was accurate:
  9. If his elbow was a big enough part of the problem right now, I'm not sure he could make that end of game throw to Diggs. Either his elbow is bad or it's not. I think it is likely "not feeling 100%" but I don't think it's the sole source of his passing woes right now.
  10. We should have more raw receiver talent on this team than we do have, and it's b/c McDermott is a defensive guy. We need another "name" receiver for next year. I also instinctively feel like OBJ will NOT be here, so he's out.
  11. For some reason, BOTH coordinators receive enormous criticism from the fanbase. There are so many variables that go into what we see on the field, there is no way to even know what is a mistake from a coordinator or not. And yet they really do seem to be hated by a certain % of the fanbase.
  12. No, those are different fans who usually don't post at all because the overwhelming majority of the vocal fans are kool aid drinking homers and there is no room for the opposition. Having said that, the definitive statements during the game like "We are a joke!" are of course way out of bounds...but people take the team seriously. We have a passionate fanbase and I think that comes out the wrong way during games sometimes with all the pressure and stress of wanting to win! YES I would guess Josh's elbow is NOT 100%. How bad is it? Don't know. Is it solely responsible for his play the last 4 or so games? I don't think so--it's more than just pain in his elbow. Also, look at this throw at the end to Diggs! Not sure he could make that throw if his elbow was truly injured right now.
  13. It was reported as a knee injury during the game. The way his foot was stepped on limited his movement in a way that may have hurt the knee. Everything on the leg is all connected and it's 1 moving thing. We'll know what is going on probably on Saturday I would think.
  14. I'm looking forward to this game, and tonight's too. Solid 3 game lineup today for most fans to enjoy.
  15. I don't see this as a game that "brings us together" nor do I think that this team needed that. I do think certain things are broken right now, and it didn't look like they were fixed today. The old Bills from earlier this year win by 20. If we don't play substantially better/smarter/more focused, we won't win these next games. That's when push will come to shove. Even NE has a great D and should always be respected. They were both big wins in that regard! The most important thing with both games was to find a way to win, and we did. But it's not the complete job. We have more work to do!
  16. I love Romo but that one was a bit of a stretch. Well, Tre is back, but he is a long way from normal. He was on a highly restricted pitch count and I think played for all of 2 possessions.
  17. Nah. He had a great game today, but they put the 3 guys out there who WON THE GAME FOR US. DTs don't do that.
  18. Romo understood what a ridiculous throw that is in a way most of us watching did not, b/c we weren't NFL quarterbacks.... He said maybe 5 guys, ALL TIME, could make the throw. That may or may not be true, but it shows you the respect he had for that throw. Like 50 yards in the air on a rope. If not a big more.
  19. As long as we remain broken like this, a win is PLENTY GOOD ENOUGH. I just ask that we figure this thing out and get it fixed PRIOR to the playoffs...or else we are going nowhere. But until it gets fixed, finding a way to win ugly is perfectly OK.
  20. Diggs, Josh, and Bass are the 3 "John Madden player of the game" winners eating turkey. They picked the right 3; all those guys came up HUGE right at the end when they had to. Colossal throw from Josh (45 yards on a rope), huge route and catch by Diggs to get open like that... And then Bass with the GIGANTIC kick with all that pressure on him. EXECUTION!
  21. Regarding the thread title, I don't recall playing the Giants today!
  22. I think you aren't seeing what's going on. We are broken right now; we've dropped at least 2 cylinders. And that WILL matter when the competition gets better. For now, the win is good enough, but if we don't get right, it won't matter.
  23. I almost had a heart attack on that throw.
