Patriots trade Demaryius Thomas to Jets
Phil The Thrill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a great player. Don’t think the staff is ready to move on from Zay Jones and Robert Foster yet. But I can’t say I’d hate the move -
Watching the Giants get decimated

NYG actually have a lot of good players on offense - specifically Barkley. I do think the key will be to pressure Eli and of course to keep Barkley in check -
Bills (-2.5) favorites vs. Giants

It’s basically a push Saquon is better than Bell. Wallace will need to do a better job in run support. -
Kyler Murray makes history

Looked better than Josh Rosen and he had the same weapons. Maybe better coaching -
Does AB set a dangerous precedent?
Phil The Thrill replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No you are spot on. I really do think it sets a bad precedent. Also, I don’t understand why teams release players who demand it. Oakland could have f’ed him over and put on the Did not report list, eliminating any chance for his guaranteed money and keeping him off the field for the year. Thats why I give props to the Bills for holding onto the rights of Anquan Bolden. He retired citing some BS service reason and then said he wanted to play for NE. So Beane refused to let him out of his few to play with another team -
Just like they did with Kareem. Then the video came out....

Sal Capaccio started this idea on WGR this morning and there are so many options. Openers that good and bad for different reasons. I’ll throw my 2 cents in. For me the best season opener was in 1991. The Bills were coming off a SB loss but were still loaded. They played Miami in Buffalo in Week 1 and this game was a shootout. Both the Bills and Dolphins executed really well on offense - not so much on defense. I think I was at the mall school shopping so I listened to the game on the radio mostly and spend about 2 hours watching the game in Sears while family shopped. Back in the day, Sears had about 30 TV’s on a wall - all tuned to the game. Some employees were watching as well LOL In the end, I remember the Bills were up by four and needed a first down to wind down the clock. Van Miller set the situation up perfectly and Thurman gained about 15 yards on 3rd and long. Bills win 35-31 and go onto to have a pretty memorable year!

Jared Goff New Contract Largest Guaranteed Ever
Phil The Thrill replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes! I agree. I thought he crapped the bed in the Super Bowl...as did Aaron Donald and the rest of the team. I also thought Goff was subpar in the NFC Championship game too. I think he has been helped tremendously by McVay He also crapps the bed in the playoffs, but, you know... -
Gruden keeps 3 QB's to keep Peterman (UPDATE: IR'd)

I like NP. Any amount of Peterman success makes Bill Barnwell and Mike Schopp cry. That’s not a bad thing -

I love this....especially for the fact that it make Bill Barnwell lose more of the 5 hair follicles he has left. It also pisses of Schopp -
Pure speculation. It is trade season.
Phil The Thrill replied to Mat68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BINGO. After decades of the Bills drafting high and signing running backs to huge contracts, this is a turning of a new modern philosophy. -
He was he was damn mediocre for most of his career and below average for the last few years of his career. Norwood had 1 good season in 1988. He was mediocre the rest of his career and he went downhill fast. Also notice how Norwood never got a second chance to kick once the Bills released him? Once the 1990’s hit he was no longer good. Bills fans love Scott, but I think they also tend to overrate his effectiveness as a kicker.
