Great audio today from WGR - Coach Sal Capaccio was in for Jeremy White and he challenged Howard Simon. I’ve often been disappointed when Sal hasn’t challenged Mike Schopp on his BS - but he was on fire this AM Listen from around 10:00 to 15:00 http://WGR550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/09-25-hr-2-howard-and-Jeremy-Show-feat-sal-capaccio Howard grumbled about how he doesn’t think the Bills can beat the Patriots and Sal started to scold him and said that it sounds like he’s conceding victory. His main point was - they may not win but fans needs to stop just giving up and almost accepting losing. Some of his great quotes! “I’m tired of that. I’m tired of ‘it’s ok if they lose.’ NO IT’S NOT OK IF THEY LOSE!” “I’m tired of the shoulder shrugging. I’m tired of the playing for 2nd place.” ”I’m not going to pick the Bills to win, but I’m not going to concede victory. I’m done with that. Period.”

I think they are being very cautious. While we all would love to win this game - realistically it’s going to be hard to challenge for the AFC East title with NE. It makes you wonder if they would rather make sure he is recovered than rushing him into a game, which at this point in the season, isn’t that important

Why the 7 point spread with the Bills at Home?

I’ve learned this one the hard way - never bet against New England. I wouldn’t take the Bills until they prove they can beat Brady and Belichick -
If Tremaine Edmunds has a problem.....
Phil The Thrill replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you are underselling his responsibility. Yes it wasn’t ALL his fault but he is the MLB and was a significant reason why they struggled. I agree that not having Milano hurt but if you watch the game, you’ll see Edmunds blocked out position during many runs. I think this was by design, as he struggled in run support previously He seems to have gotten better with this, so it will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday. -

do you know who took the flag? I know some friends of our from Niagara Falls.... some real good fellas if ya know what I mean. They are happy to travel to San Fran -
I have a feeling that with the way the Bills secondary is playing that the offense game plan for New England will target against Tremaine Edmunds. He had a very good week against the Jets stopping Bell, he did fairly well against Saquan Barkley after the first drive. While Mixon was held in held for the most part, he did break a long screen when Edmunds blew containment. One major problem with Edmunds is that he’s allowed blockers to take him out of plays. He just doesn’t shed blocks well. Based on the success NE had last year on the ground, and with Edleman hobbled by an injury, I can see BB trying to pound the ball on the defense again. But specifically I think he’ll run off the edges and try to hit some RB screens to target Edmunds’ weakness. I don’t see Brady throwing for a ton of yards on our defense but I do think the plan is to pound the defense.

Kick/Punt Return concerns
Phil The Thrill replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a good point. It’s seems that reliable kickers are becoming extinct in the NFL. Whereas punters are among the least important position on the field in terms of making a different between winning and losing. They probably could sign someone off the street who would punt marginally better but I doubt it would make much of a difference. -

If they see fit, then a moderator can merge the thread. I think it just gets flat out silly when regular members criticize and complain others for starting new threads. Who really cares? Let’s the mods handle it -
Kick/Punt Return concerns

Bojorquez has not really been good. Whenever he tries punting they ball with hang time it lands short and he almost never is ever able to pin a team inside the 10. Watch the difference between him and the punters for Cincinnati and NYG. why don’t we just have 1 global thread and call it “Thoughts on the Bills.” Isn’t every conversation here about the Bills? -

ESPN: Bills have the best defense in football

like Nate Geary said....Bills fans will turn on the team in the drop of a hat -
ok so they are “kids” to you, but many of the broadcasters you listened to back in the day got their start at around the same age. Regardless, the age doesn’t change the fact he made a great point. Bills fans can be overly-emotional and overly-dramatic and will turn on the team in a drop of a hat...or drop of a pass! hey The Talking Phone Book sounds like a great gig!!!!?????
