  1. Comparing Apples to baseballs here... I hope Allen can play this weekend to see how he does against a good defense. If he has a good game, I’ll feel more confident. If we see Wyoming Josh I’ll continue to be skeptical
  2. Sitting a rookie QB never ends well. If you are so concerned about his confidence - sending him to the bench because you don’t think he can beat a good defense is a terrible idea.
  3. We won the game largely because the defense stopped opposing offenses from converting those turnovers into points. You can’t dismiss that. I don’t have an agenda other than saying I’m starting to wonder whether Allen will truly improve the way we want him to. He just seems to revert back to Wyoming Josh - that’s not a good thing.
  4. Maybe... but I see progression with Jones. You saw it with Mayfield and Lamar. I’m not seeing the same amount of progress with Josh. He seems to be making the mistakes he made as “Bad Josh” last year
  5. They were only up 13-0 thanks to the defense. Josh threw 3 INT’s and fumbled.
  6. Unless you’re a fan of QB purgatory, that’s a terrible idea
  7. How do you explain the success of a player like Daniel Jones? In just a few starts, he is elevating the entire offense. How much time should we give Allen? 5 years? 6 years? If he’s any good we should see progress soon. And “progress” was not what we saw yesterday
  8. Yes....there’s a huge difference between Brady and Allen and you know it! My concern wasn’t that he played a poor game against NE. He played one of his worst games ever. He was so brutal it was painful. We shouldn’t be seeing this type of performance after 16 games. Also when you factor in his first 3 up and down games of the season against inferior team - yes I’m concerned. Not sure if he ever will overcome these negative tendencies. He hasn’t show this ability over the first 16 games
  9. You can’t sit him on the bench unless he truly is unable to play due to the concussion protocol. The Bills needs to see Allen in as many game situations as possible this year. If he fails to progress, by the end of the season they many need to think of a contingency plan. But you can’t evaluate with Allen on the bench
  10. as much as I hate NE, I don’t think he was trying to take him out. I do believe that he tried to stick him with a crushing hit
  11. Good or bad - the best thing for the Bills is for Allen to play as much as possible. We need to see how he reacts to these situations.
  12. Exactly, this is the main reason I started the thread. What we saw yesterday was Josh Allen - the Wyoming QB who was reckless, made terrible decisions, and was lost playing against a good defense:
  13. I guess but I think this is more on QB play than anything else. We know that the defense will ready. The question is whether Josh Allen can step up and beat a good defense, one week after he was owned by Bill Belichick
  14. That’s my concern. At some point the “developmental QB” excuses ring hollow. Allen needs to show growth against good defenses and so far I haven’t seen it. This is why I’m very much concerned
  15. I feel the same way and actually started a similar thread. Be prepared for a barrage of excuses for Allen’s awful performance.
  16. These emotional “pining for Ex-Bills players” posts are just plain sad. boo boo we miss Jordan Mills ??? waaa waaa waaaa
  17. Exactly - you did a nice job of summing up my entire thoughts. I am very concerned over the poor QB play. The Bills offense is 9th in total yards in the NFL yet have produced a meager number of points. This is because they continue to shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers and take points off the board
  18. Perhaps...maybe the playcalling wasn’t perfect but Daboll wasn’t the reason the Bills lost. This loss is 100% on the shoulders of Josh Allen. In a huge game, he turned in one his worst performances ever as a QB and reverted to the bad habits that we thought were coached out of him. The 3 turnovers didn’t help....neither did the sacks he gave up in FG range. Or the times he held onto the ball too long. This was a terrible performance by Allen. Unless he can bounce back, consider me concerned about his future I hope so.... but he hasn’t learned this in nearly 2 years since college. He’s making the same mistakes he did at Wyoming
  19. He did. He also looked lost for the majority of the same committed some huge turnovers that essentially dug the team into that hole. The fact they they were down just 13-3 at the half is a testament to the awesome performance of the defense.
  20. I disagree. The thread is questioning the future of the franchise after several turnover-laden performances this season. As a Bills fan, I think it’s understandable to be concerned about Allen. You could see some of the progress he made over the first few games but you also saw many of the same the same mistakes as well. For me what was most disappointing about the loss yesterday was the fact that he essentially reverted back to “Wyoming Josh.” Given his performance this week, I think there could be cause for concern
  21. Blaming Daboll comes off as scapegoating. I think he’s a good OC. You can’t blame Daboll for the times when Josh holds the ball, throws INT’s, or misfires on deep passes. He’s given Josh the ball and an opportunity to make plays - which is all you can ask Part of the reason why he’s getting “killed” is because he’s not making fast enough decisions and/or getting rid of the football. Unfortunately we’ll never what would have happened in the 2nd half had he not gotten hurt. I do know that in the first half, Josh was the worst player on the field. This has me concerned Do explain...
  22. Made him look bad for 1 half. 2nd half was a different story ok, then explain why
  23. I was at the game Sunday and there was 1 reason the Bills lost the game. They lost the game for one reason - Josh Allen. He was absolutely putrid at QB. I’m a big fan of Allen but he was THE reason why we lost. We’re starting to get to the point where you can’t use the whole “lack of experience” excuses for Allen. For all the progress be seemed to make, we still see him revert back to the traits (holding onto the ball, poor footwork passing up short routes, inaccuracies) from college. We saw on Sunday that the thing he does well, scrambling, leaves his open for huge cheap shots to the head. He also doesn’t seem to be elevating the offense either. Take a look at how much better NYG has been since Daniel Jones took over last week. Or how much better Cleveland was behind Baker and not Tyrod. Or to a MUCH lesser extent Gardiner Minshew in Jacksonville. Allen has struggled to generate much more than 20 points per game. So have you lost faith in Josh Allen? If you haven’t lost faith, what give you hope that he will eventually start elevating the offense? I’m completely on the fence, but trending toward skepticism, unfortunately.
  24. why? They have not the run the ball effectively the entire season
  25. More lamenting from Bills fans. Come on people - move on!!!!! yeah because Preston Brown looked so good for Cincinnati
