  1. Side note--did anyone else notice the 'Mark Kelso' helmet that Beebe appears to be rocking in throw #1? It's escaped my memory that anyone else on the Bills during that time ever would've worn that!
  2. "Rich Stadium South" I believe is what Joe Robbie Stadium's nickname was during our SB era--we usually took names down there and you can see from Kelly's ridiculous throws in that game for example, I'm sure many a time the Dolphins thought they had em on the ropes only to be burned on the back end. I'm sure to this day Marino would tell you but for the Bills, he would've seen a few more SB games than just the one in '84. The good news is, Allen's already shown the ability to take a phase of his game that needs work (like the short/intermediate game from his rookie year), make it a focus in the off-season and turn it into a strength--I have little doubt this trend can and will continue with him. He's a born leader of men who will follow him into a brick wall and fearless to a fault--both qualities we haven't seen at the QB position since Kelly, which I am very much enthused about.
  3. Some big shoes to fill, my friend!
  4. Saw this posted on the Bills site today, and seems only fitting to share in honor of Jimbo's (60th!!) birthday this week. For my money, throw #5 is just plain sick. Who said Jim couldn't move in a pocket? https://www.buffalobills.com/video/nfl-throwback-12-amazing-jim-kelly-throws
  5. Thanks for collating this overview OP; this thread will def need to be bumped up going into draft night, imho.
  6. On which part? Brady to NFC or us repping the AFC?
  7. Jim and Jill Kelly and their posts on Instagram yesterday...
  8. I see you RR! Star Trek IV explains it all Eddie the Ace sends his regards...
  9. Not to one up you, but my treks involved snow and hailstorms on the round trip uphills...I’m sure there were all manner of wolves and wild boar stalking the trails as well—plus did I mention we used books back then? They were heavy in my Jansport backpack, that’s for sure! but prolly helped with the traction needed for my snowshoes
  10. https://nflps.org/faqs/how-many-medical-personnel-are-on-the-field-during-an-nfl-game/
  11. For the football program at my D3 college in the late 90’s, we had a trainer and grad assistant on standby with a roll of ace bandages and ice to handle whatever came their way...should I have been worried?
  12. Wait let me guess—the .3 where it went well was courtesy of PFF’s advanced secret analytics, amirite?
  13. Sad but true.
  14. Waiting anxiously for @SlimShady'sGhostto post an update for training camp countdown. GO BILLS!!!!
  15. There’s prolly not a single woman out there who could do better in their intro pressers than this guy! (I kid, I kid )
  16. Well, this is what you may chalk up to an "agenda" type item, where their pre-draft analysis has to be proven mostly right after the fact (whoopsies on that Rosen #3 and Rudolph #4 ranking...) and they heavily pushed Mayfield all the way at #1 to take. This article may or may not be paywall: https://buffalonews.com/2018/04/12/why-pff-low-popular-bills-mock-draft-target-josh-allen-mayfield-rosen-darnold-jackson-rudolph-pro-football-focus-quarterback/ "In researching Allen, one prominent dissenting opinion comes from the analytic site Pro Football Focus. While most outlets consider Allen to be in the mix with USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen and Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield for the top four spots in a very deep quarterback class, PFF's draft guide ranks Allen a distant sixth, plugging him below Oklahoma State's Mason Rudolph and Louisville's Lamar Jackson. Allen ranks 35th on their Big Board, making him a fringe first-round prospect at best."
  17. But what do the good folk across the pond, you know, in the London hotbed of NFL football goings-on (someday) of PFF and the only opinion that matters to Chris Collinsworth, think about our boy Star?
  18. While I don't necessarily subscribe any greater significance to the analysis of Colin as compared with the next talking head in line, I did find some of his reasoning/points as to why Brady to Dallas would make sense for all sides interesting--which on a side note, if that unlikely event were to occur, would mean that both of NE's starting QB's since 1993 would've ended their careers as Cowboys, FWIW... https://www.foxsports.com/watch/the-herd-with-colin-cowherd/video I don't necessarily disagree with you as to Elway's interest--he's a proven snagger of old QB talent , but I find the notion of Brady being open to going anywhere and becoming a mentor highly unlikely--much like Favre or Big Ben not giving two hoots about that type of a role even late in their careers would similar mindsets. If rumors are to be believed, Brady had as much a hand in Jimmy G's departure as anyone else (Kraft) at the time.
  19. Big thumbs up—what a great story! One of the best days as a Bills fan ever, for sure
  20. He Hate Me better be back as an honorary captain for the 1st coin flip
  21. Did you leave early after the pick-6 after halftime?
  22. This guy when he found out what the punishment would be...
  23. It’ll never get old—and I’m assuming you were there, just like all the rest of us, right?
  24. There was a time where I would play SB XXVII and XXVIII on the old VHS over just to try to clinically pinpoint exactly where and how things went off the rails, and I admit I probably was no fun to be around simultaneously. So this will be a no-go for me, although I’m more than happy to start a thread about our playoff wins and dissect all the ways we routinely smoked say, Danny Marino...
