  1. 1995 called, and wants its rejected expansion team logo options back—could you not picture this on a “Starter” jacket from back in the day? Would also go great with snap bracelets
  2. The “Process” with AB at the helm would’ve gone something a little like this methinks...
  3. --Playoff caliber/Championship caliber (as opposed to CFL caliber?) --Corn-fed (are there groups of people other than O-linemen who also enjoy lots of corn?) --Deceptively quick (either he's quick or he's not, how is there any deception here??) --Takes care of the football (because everyone else tries to scuff it up?) --Throwback (you know, 2yds & a cloud of dust kind of guy)
  4. Someone please just pass me the smelling salts!
  5. Clayton/Duper were outstanding in Marino’s O—and the Phins were always well coached, arguably better than what the Bills staff had—including at HC.
  6. Compared to the Dolphins/HOF Marino who never made it past Buffalo in the playoffs? HOF Elway/Broncos during that same stretch? Compared to the rest of the AFC all time which has never duplicated 4 straight AFC championships? Just asking for a friend The ‘84 Dolphins squad would like a word with you. Not saying Marino wasn’t phenomenal, because no doubt he was, but he had his chances also, before/after Kelly’s AFC dominance.
  7. FWIW, I would too, for better or worse this site/community has become a part of my daily routine, and gives me more Bills content and faster than basically anything else.
  8. I smell a poll coming—how much would you pay for continued access to TBD?
  9. In all seriousness, yes, it would be terribly cool if this could happen, and I’d be happy to throw a 1st and a few 2nds his way, but I doubt the Panthers make this happen—still, fun offseason what-ifs
  10. Is this what happened to your knees right before this OP was posted?
  11. There were no covered casserole dishes nor cookie baskets with moist towelettes provided during previous regimes...an egregious oversight which clearly cost us dearly. in all seriousness great find OP, thanks for posting!
  12. Process guy? Really strains the definition of process, imho. And if you think we get jobbed by the refs now, wait what would happen in that regard with VB on the field for us...rightly or wrongly, mostly rightly, he would never get the benefit of the doubt in any situation such that I could see him drawing flags in the most inopportune times for losing his cool etc.; it’s a big time no thanks for me please.
  13. No sir, you are definitely not alone in this sentiment!
  14. Touché Hap. I’ll keep that in mind when the next shoulda drafted Mahomes thread drops I don’t know about all that, but every now and then mixed in with scrambled eggs actually isn’t too bad!
  15. I’m just here to ask whether or not the “search” function was used prior to commencing this OP?
  16. The Bills then turned around and throttled them for the rematch in 1993, 35-7 on MNF with Kelly back in the saddle...
  17. Momentum is a real thing in games and when it shifts to the other team during the course of a game, how well is such a shift contained/managed? The Oilers on that day almost in lockstep seemed confused and had no answers on either side of the ball once the Bills opened up their attack and adjusted their game plan in terms of run/pass selection, executed, and caught a few timely breaks (onside kick recovery, TD on 4th down instead of FG, etc.); for me listening on the Westwood One radio call, there was an air of almost inevitability in the 4th quarter following the Bills’ furious offensive output in the 3rd, where you knew that on this day, we were not going to be denied, even after Houston tied the game at the end and forced OT (sound familiar in reverse??). The Bills finally executed and the Oilers choked—it was and will always remain a historic thing of beauty—I’d be shocked if the margin record is ever matched/broken. Note: Reich never broke 300 yards in the game! (Gulp) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Comeback_(American_football)
  18. My non-football loving relatives were all staring at me agape in that moment as I did some crazy jumping gesticulations whilst bursting out with, “THAT’S MY QUARTERBACK!!!!” and yes, I meant to shout that . That one’s up there, but the W following in Pittsburgh was special for so many reasons—not least of which given where I grew up in hostile Steelers country, playoffs, and the fact that we hadn’t won there in the regular season since OJ’s days made it all historic.
  19. Aaron Maybin...with an honorable mention to Shawne Merriman—oh wait, wrong list, sorry!
  20. Prolly having lunch on a crowded beach somewhere with Waldo and Carmen Sandiego?
  21. See @Hapless Bills Fanlatest post on the invincible vid thread...
  22. Post of the day Hap, and it ain’t close on this mic-drop. Thanks for pulling those excerpts together in a crystal clear summary of why we know we have “it” at the QB position once again.
  23. The timing on those was nuts--you routinely would see the window closing while the ball was mid-flight and the safety/CB tangling up in a pile a millisecond after the ball is past them--agree with your overall point, but just wanted to add that one of the things that makes Josh so special is his uncanny ability to extend plays by not going down at the first hint of contact, or even 2nd/3rd at times--then being able to find an open man or escaping free to run for a first down is a back-breaker on the D.
  24. He's got the "it" factor, that the Bills have spent a generation chasing since Kelly's retirement--paired with a competent FO, things quickly turn into playoff-caliber around here! Now let's get to SB contender this year (which includes winning our D straight up for the first time in forever).
