  1. Hap, isn't it also accurate to say that the 12-18 month timeline for completing a successful vaccine trial that's been touted since early on in this pandemic, would also represent the fastest overall such result ever? The article below references a more usual time frame of multiple years--granted, that probably doesn't account for the same type of world simultaneous pandemic urgency? Still, 18 months is being awfully optimistic that nothing at all goes off-script, right? https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/a-coronavirus-vaccine-in-18-months-experts-are-skeptical/ar-BB11Yzjh
  2. Ok, ok, the title may have been a bit of clickbait--everyone knows there's no way Shatner's suiting up for reals on the Space-X rocket next week...but wouldn't Kirk docking in at the ISS be something to behold? On a side note, Shatner always struck me as someone who's aged well--he could legit pull off another Trek film installment, imho. https://www.cnet.com/news/star-trek-captain-wants-to-join-nasas-historic-demo-2-mission/ (EDIT: Link to Live Launch Feed)
  3. Team bonding, great to see—and well played Josh, absolutely sold it
  4. This makes me wanna shout!!! Ready for whatever kind of covid-restricted season we’re getting, to finally start!
  5. Ahem... https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/josh-allen-7/gamelog/2016/
  6. Woo-hoo, love me some Embedded! Good fluff PR pieces but I’ll take it nonetheless...
  7. Allen faced down a top tier defense in an environment that was as pressure packed as it gets at the NFL level—he could’ve folded like a cheap suit but rose to the occasion—point being, that Steeler D was no cakewalk, the Bills earned what they got.
  8. Probably so, although from pressers you'll hear guys referring to some of the coaches by nicknames too, like Daboll being "Coach Dabs" and the like.
  9. The last time the Bills had ever won a regular season game at Pittsburgh before that game was during OJ's time. Pittsburgh is brutal to play at home, but in a primetime setting at night, no matter the circumstances, even more so. That was still an impressive showing by the Bills to ice making the playoffs, and a finishing act that's slipped away far too many times in Bills history before then.
  10. Why can't Brown seamlessly assume the role Thielen played in forcing opposing D's to also shade coverage elsewhere besides Diggs? Similar opportunities should abound in our offense, imho. I read it here first, that Brown is every rich man's #2, our poor man's #1 last year.
  11. Kudos WEO, don't know why, but this particular question reminds me of SNL's "Deep Thoughts" segment. Good stuff! Apparently there's website for that. https://www.deepthoughtsbyjackhandey.com/
  12. During a Covid-19 offseason? Probably. This still beats most "regular" news headlines of the day.
  13. I believe the word you were searching for is "husky."
  14. Take the Steelers for granted at your own peril, but it's the Ravens division to lose, imho.
  15. As opposed to say, the innumerable talking heads on ESPN who don't give a flip about the Bills? What would make Jim's comments any less newsworthy for discussion on this board?
  16. I don't know about you, but I've already been having a lot more fun as a Bills fan since he took over the starting job!
  17. On paper with the sum total of the moves made during this offseason I think anyone would be hard pressed to say this team is still absolutely not super bowl caliber; I think it'd be more accurate to say if they flame out of the playoffs in the first round this year, then they are vastly underperforming the quality of the roster. And in the playoffs, anything can happen, just ask the upstart 10-6 wildcard Eli Manning Giants during the first takedown of Brady in 2007. I think this team has SB caliber potential this year. But I stand by a predicted exit in the AFC title game.
  18. Atlanta should never be used as a football exhibit except as a sad outlier of statistical sorts. Anyone who lives down here will be able to chime in affirmatively. Without digging into pro football reference for the actual year over year numbers of "worst going to first" I feel like that doesn't pass the smell test for a majority of SB winning squads, but I'm happy to admit if I'm wrong on my gut.
  19. But isn't that blueprint exactly what KC followed since drafting Mahomes (this board's favorite beat-up-the-Bills draft time regret)? The dragon that is Tom Brady did not go tenderly into that good night 2 yrs ago, and last year it took an upstart Tennessee running game to take out Brady for the Chiefs, although they probably would still have won the AFC title game notwithstanding?
  20. He's not wrong of course. Brady or not, this feels like the breakout year we've been building towards since McBeane got here. Year 3, 2nd full, for Allen--this bodes well for us along with the continuity in both coaching and front office for this regime. Frankly I'd be disappointed in anything less than 11-5 regular season, winning the East and getting to the AFC title game. I can dig it.
  21. It was nice to see some “live” pitch and catch from our Bills...thanks for posting @YoloinOhio
  22. Somewhere Harrison Phillips got the call, and decided instead of bench reps of 225, today could be more of a Hot Pockets and Yuengling sort of afternoon... @Ridgewaycynic2013, how many compensatory draft picks will this net the Patriots?
