  1. This sounds spectacular—and can bring the heat, clearly. If cooking for additional folk who can’t take the heat (better half), would you change out the Bush’s hot chili beans or just leave off the Frank’s?
  2. So while I realize it’s still in the meat of the Summer (Tre’s sweatpants in practice this week notwithstanding) and many folks would raise an eyebrow at thinking about all things chili at the moment, I happen to be in the camp that good food, much like ice cream, deserves to be enjoyed year-round. And this is one of my favorites no matter the season. That said, what’s your go-to family chili recipe & or tips? Slow cooker or cook pot stovetop? Fire for flavor or subtlety? Specific on beans or whatever you have laying around in the pantry? Sour cream, shredded cheese on top or does that take away from the finished product too much? I’d like to try a new recipe the next time I make it, and was curious what you all do for yours?
  3. Maybe you should’ve started off with the moon landings OP?
  4. NDE’s are a verified occurrence for which traditional medicine has little explanation. Beyond that, yes the afterlife is a faith issue; given what the stakes are, I’ll gladly accept the free gift Christ promised for preservation of my soul. Jesus Himself is confirmed to have lived—so either He is who He claimed to be, or He was the biggest fraud/snake oil salesman this side of a Kirby vacuum cleaner—there’s no inbetween about that! Those who say He was a good man but not the Savior are missing that point—accept all or none at all. It’s everyone’s free will to choose for themselves. It should also be noted that those who knew Jesus best during His earthly ministry, the disciples outside of Judas, all to a man died as martyrs for they would not stop proclaiming that Jesus was who He said He was...they paid for what they said was the truth with their lives. Don’t know about you, but I would never willingly die for anyone who I actually knew to be a charlatan, FWIW.
  5. Perhaps we could finally get the Super Bowl played on Saturday?? That’s been a long overdue change imho. Own it!
  6. It’s clear that Sean and Brandon, whilst simpatico on their roster choices, do not see eye to eye on the necessity of UV ray prophylaxis... I mean, basically with the right headgear and mirrored blue shades, any of us could sneak past security as “McD” and start clapping us some camp reps! No facial ID possible here
  7. Not for nothing, but I’d rather my guy comes through in the clutch than a Stafford type putting up gaudy numbers that mean nothing by the time the final whistle blows because he couldn’t make it happen late...of course, putting both together even better, and we will see more of that this year imho.
  8. If he was underdressed for the season then I stand corrected!
  9. I know it’s Buffalo and all, but sweat pants in August?? ?
  10. If this isn’t it, then it still should be!
  11. EJ also an expert on the elite art of losing an NFL game on not one, but 3 continents! We’re just ensuring that the door doesn’t hit him on the way out!
  12. How do their college resumes even come close to being a 1 for 1 comparison?
  13. Don’t hate the player or the game! They absolutely should be ranked at the top!
  14. No live animals were hurt during the filming of this gif
  15. All day, this OP’s threads be like...
  16. Not for nothing, it was Jesus who took issue with the “religious” know it all hypocrites during His earthly ministry, likening those Pharisee religious leaders who insisted on loud public spectacles with their liturgical prayers and emphasis on appearances, to bleached bones or empty vessels—so this is not exactly a new problem. Or those seeking to turn the temple into a financial center that he had to remove. Those were all the same folks who fought Jesus’ message of grace & redemption from our fallen condition the most, FWIW. Point being—religious label is worth nada by just itself.
  17. But it’s good we can engage on this and hear each other out. I hope that in some measure it helps to dig deeper and see where each of us is coming from as a means to create bridges, and not burn them.
  18. Whoever came up with that "Simon Says" kids game might have something to say about that.
  19. Or by the posters on this board! This place is usually 1st stop shop for any Bills content I need to get, including deep analysis dives.
  20. To be fair, he was first put on the spot by a reporter. And you could arguably say the same thing about any athlete who voices any thoughts/opinions as to issues outside of their professions--and I'm not saying that's a bad thing mind you, just that when he prefaced what he said with, "I think..." it immediately becomes clear that's an opinion coming. In his case yes, faith-based according to what he said. A free society must be able to engage itself with opinions of all kinds. I respect your right to have one, as much as I know that you do for anyone else posting here.
