Is there a reason why Crossman is still around?

blocked punt/muffed punt/poor coverage/botched fg all in the last two games -

Have you watched a Giants game He's checking it down constantly to Barkley almost immediately The diff is the Giants are smart enough to have Barkley chip or just go into the flat on every snap. Against the eagles most of his passing production was from a few simple checkdown that barkley broke out and made amazing plays from -
Allen looked very good today

They have talent on offense. Watkins is the #4 option the Chiefs Ponder that for a moment The most talented player the Bills have had on offense in over a decade is the #4 on the Chiefs Both run innovative schemes We spent all off season installing a jet sweep to the right and cant even get that play right -
So who do we want to start at qb this Sunday?

Eli cant get it done with Saquon, two good wrs and a good young TE How is he going to do anything here -
Well the majority of the draft picks and free agency money have been poured into defense the last two years. I can see Beane drafting a db with the first pick in 2019. Offense has no speed no quickness besides whatever McCoy has left. They need to poach a young talented WR from a team that cant pay to keep him.

we go qb in the first I'm going to get sick

Agreed but Daboll needs to open it up. I'm ok with Josh making mistakes trying to push the ball vertically down the field. The play calling continues to stink. Goes back to the last season of Tyrod. Hope the elbow is good to go he needs every rep they can get him. -
These kind of losses are tough to absorb. Since McDermott is going to continue to play small ball and try to keep score low, limit Josh Allen's responsibilities its tougher to swallow when it doesn't work out. They had this game and bad play calling/game mgmt gave it away. The way the defense was playing I dont see how Houston drives the length of the field They got two scores from a blocked punt and a muffed punt almost in the red zone and a fg off a throw it up lob for pass int. How you have Peterman throw a late soft out I just dont know. Does Daboll know what he is doing? What are you trying to achieve with that play 5 yards? This is why I was complaining last week. I want to see Allen not being coached to worry about every mistake and trust what he sees and fire it out there Only way he is going to learn. You learn nothing from being coached to play safe/scared

I'd love to see Daboll gone and take Dimarco and Benjamin with you on your way out Stop playing offense not to lose and try and make plays. The conservative dont make a mistake plan worked last week This week defense played their butts off and the offense was comatose yet again. The object is to score points not to wait for the other team to screw up
-
better fix the OL, get better wrs and a young rb Also replace Clay. Allen doesnt work out at least you would have pieces in place for the next guy I hope beane has a significantly better plan for 2019 that what he ended up with in 2018

A Few Thoughts about the Texans game, in no particular order

Peterman makes a pre snap read and throws it regardless of how the defense shifts after he makes that determination Its how he's able to throw so many pick 6's in so few attemts -
Is Nate Peteman the worst QB in NFL history?
DuckyBoys replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He makes his read on where to go with the football pre snap to compensate for the arm Yet he is still on the team -
Tre' Davious White Ladies & Gents

They dont resign Tre White that might it for me. You preach building with the draft and dont keep a stud why bother -
its a bitter loss but Allen to me did play better One ball in the dirt to Clay early but after that the passes were on target. Daboll must open it up for the kid a little bit. Also the wrs need to keep working when plays break down Right now Allen's best attributes are his ability to extend plays Too many stupid penalties on offense. He should have a safety valve on each passing play. Too many times McCoy had to chip block to help the tackle and was unable to get out in the flat to help. Hopefully the elbow is ok. I never want to see Peterman out there again and have zero interest in watching Anderson.
-
Granted he does not have a ton to work with but this offense is boring and predictable. What new wrinkles did we bring in this week? Its week 6 and the Bills have no screen game. No vertical passing attack. Basically no big play execution. Heck he hasnt even found a way to get McCoy to run for a 100 yards or a td. Its run run 3rd and long all game long Or they go play action and heave a bomb to a double covered Benjamin I can go to the can as fast as Benjamin gets downfield
-
Agreed, he's still stepping into sacks. Being a mobile qb he might trust his legs more than what he sees downfield. I think the accuracy is really a non issue. Processing what he sees is where he needs to make the next leap. This loss stings but we could and should have won barring some dumb penalties and Peterpickman
-
Agreed, he doesn't trust the protection . Little bit better today but stepped into a sack from Watt. Needs to work on shuffling his steps side to side to buy some time. Maybe watch some tape of Marino and learn that little hitch step. Accuracy was good today besides the early throw at the feet of Clay. Dabol's play calling is terrible. I wonder is they are preaching ball security so much he is second guessing throws I'd like to see him just open up and chuck the rock down field and create some room for the under neath stuff. Our offense is soooooo predictable.

Yep too many penalties for sure Sad a great defensive effort was wasted. Far as a special teams think it goes to lack of receiver talent. We have crap at returner just like at WR Guys cant even field a kick clean How is Crossman still here? -

I though he hung in a little better each game. The one sack he took from Watt he moved to the side the double team was on and Watt split it. Play calling stunk I know he is a rookie and struggling but you have to let him throw downfield on 1st down. Again Bills had a chance to win with their game plan but wonder if its not hindering Allen's development long term to continue to run run pass on third and long -
Well its on daboll for callling the play and on Peterman for seeing the corner has a safety right behind him and still throwing it. I'm convinced Peterman looks pre snap and throws to the one spot regardless of what he processes post snap I dont think I have seen someone throw that many pick 6's in that few attempts

whomever is the qb needs more talent around him These receivers are not winning right away 1 on 1 and forcing the qb to hold the ball
