  1. They ran the west coast and the ball was out of Brett's hand quickly He got himself in trouble when he held the ball and ad libbed. He also had Sterling Sharpe and a better all around cast. Josh is in a tough spot with what he has to work with.
  2. That is true and Trubisky is still a project from what I have watched He's had some stinkers along with the 6 td game Mahomes lets see what things look like after say 24 starts Not jinxing him, he looks great so far. If Allen shows improvement from where he is now till week 16 its a success. Next year he should be even better and so on. The goat threw for 189 a game and took 41 sacks as a rookie
  3. Think you guys need to look further back than the last year or two. QBs coming in and playing well right away is not the historical norm. More important is do they continue to get better from year 1 to 2 to 3. Most qbs are not ready to start and win in year 1. Mahomes might end up being the best ever or he might regress. Lot of rookies recent years looked good than have gone backwards. We just played one Marriota looked really good but has gone backwards the last two seasons. Prescott going backwards. Trubisky's first four starts look very similar to Allens Almost identical to be honest
  4. There have been many qbs who were drafted early in the first round and turned it around after putrid starts. Alex Smith stats from year one make Allen look like Tom Brady. Bradshaw was drafted #1 overall and took him 5 years before he threw more tds than ints. Steve Young was putrid till year 6 and that doesnt count his USFL years. Drew Brees was not very good till year 4. Eli was horrible year one.
  5. Good luck with that Barring some kind of meltdown hes going to be here for years to come. Goff was horrible year one and turned it around. Bradshaw was awful for years. He's a smart guy, the pre snap stuff and knowing where to go with the football is going to get better.
  6. Mayfield has looked great, rest look like nfl rookies. Allen is not a finished product. Your not going to see that till maybe end of 2019. Maybe even 2020 season. Long as he does not repeat the same mistakes he will be fine. He wasn't asked to do much against the Titans. Texans are good against the run so I expect he will have to try and carry more of the load this Sunday. So we can cheer for him to do well. If he does you can put away the torches and pitchforks. If he stinks it up all you haters can come on here and crow about. Its how its going to be for a while.
  7. I'd keep Hughes. Lorax and Williams will be gone. Team is going to get much younger next year with all those picks
  8. You want to tie up 16-20 Mill a year at rb long term with a ton of guaranteed money upfront? That is what Bell wants. Pass we should draft a rb
  9. I don't know about all that . Allen is in unless he gets hurt. Ravens loss is on Peterman 100%. Chargers game Allen started to move the ball but it was too late. Vikes we won thanks to Josh/D. Packers was ugly, you can argue some plays go our way we might have had a chance. Titans he didn't do anything special but there were also no back breaking mistakes. Think this move actually says more about how hot trash Peterman is than anything else. Sounds like Mcdermott thinks he can win some games right now. I'd rather watch Allen make mistakes and lose than watch a 35 year old career backup or a never was
  10. Houston is going to RGIII Watson's career they keep getting him crushed over and over
  11. Eagles need to make the move asap. Before the season spirals further out of control. Tough spot for the Bills, I'd hold out for the 2nd. Is there any decent wrs we can trade a pick to obtain?
  12. all three of those teams have better players around their qb Your crazy if you think otherwise. Cards O line might be almost as bad as ours, Jets and Browns without question are superior talent wise.
  13. I agree with the pod cast but going 3-13 and letting him get killed might not be the answer either. My thinking is they take the governor off the motor when the games get out of hand If they can run play good D and keep the games close they do it. Lets see how it looks when they are down by two scores or more or the run game is shut down early How much consistent success could he have throwing 35-40 times a game with this supporting cast?
  14. Well Bills are 2-3 having played teams ranked 10,11,13,14,15 They get two road games then will have 6 of the last 9 at home. If they pull out one of the next two road games were headed for another 7 or 8 win season somehow. Ranking is probably where it should be though you can make a strong case for the Bucs, Giants, Colts, Cowgirls, Lions, Texans, Falcons are all in the same boat. Falcons have zero defense and the coach sucks. Somehow I don't see the wheels falling off and us getting to only 4 wins to get a top 5 pick
  15. Eagles look like they have the dreaded super bowl hangover. Wentz is still working his way back so is Alshon. Defense hasn't been close to last years. I wonder if Shady would even want to go back He was pissed to be traded in the first place
  16. He's overthinking some of the throws I wonder if they are coaching him to play safe ball like they did with Tyrod
  17. I don't doubt that having a big strong guy who can run if need be wasn't a factor for them I think he will be quite effective in the late season home games when wind/snow gets snotty
  18. True he did throw the ball away instead of turning from the pressure and eating sacks. Its frustrating to see him out there with this group of receivers
  19. I fear they will turn to the Tim Tebow offense with Josh Designed read option runs is not how you want to preserve your qb no mater his size
  20. this is why I said yesterdays game was unsatisfying and got crushed for it #1 priority to me for this year is developing Allen Not going to happen if they try and hide him with this type of game plan week in week out.
  21. Rooting for Josh to be the guy but today they hid Josh 100% with the game plan. I agree they needed to run more but at some point even with this rag tag group of targets we need to see some glimpses of passing competency.
  22. There was a little bit of that at play. I'm happy either way but realistically I'm more excited about the young talent rising.
