  1. what is the purpose of that throw Just chuck the rock downfield
  2. why does he keep taking it out Have we had one return this year past the 30?
  3. fun possession where has this been If you're outmatched at least go with guns blazing
  4. If that elbow is done who buying tickets for the rest of the games? Better to BS us with the week to week crap than admit our biggest investment is broken before the half season mark
  5. Well they have 7 starters out of the 14 picks from 2017/18 drafts That is almost a third of the starting 22 Lets say they hit 3 starters in 2019 Beane will have turned over half the starting lineup in 3 years not counting free agency. There is progress being made, we just have to swallow the lemon 2018 is. Good young core coming together on defense. Get some improvement on OL, a 2nd corner and some new weapons for Allen
  6. Their big whiff was McCaron. If he was as advertised, Peterman never dresses and Allen gets eased in. Instead he cant even beat out Peterman and Allen and then asks to be traded. Looking back they would have been better off installing Allen in day 1 in training camp Bunch of time and snaps wasted in McCaron and Peterman.
  7. McDermott is a decent coach. He and Beane understood the Bills needed to retool their roster to have long term success. They only have so many picks and so much money to acquire players. They probably could have stuck some short term band aids on this roster and tried to squeeze out another 9-7 year with a bunch of fluke type wins. This is what the argument boils down to. Rip off the band aid and start fixing things properly for a winning team that is sustainable or continue to look for short term fixes. This year is going to suck. Everyone should have seen that coming. Truthfully I was shocked at last year and expected it to be a 4 or 5 win season. Now there is no guarantee they will get right but so far some of the early returns are good. They have 7 starters from the 14 picks used in the 2017/2018 drafts. Compare it to 2015/2016. Next year they have 10 picks plus a lot of cap space. Stands to reason next years roster will be more talented and younger. If Allen shows progress next year should be a winning season. If they want a insurance policy for Allen than pick up a decent FA qb for 2019 . Long as they don't make stupid signings and get hung with trash salaries like Mario Williams, Charles Clay we'll be in good shape for the future. We have had some horrible drafts between 2009-2016 Hiring Rex and letting him influence the drafts to get guys for his system hurt even more.
  8. they rule him out for Monday night? I though he practiced but was still in protocol
  9. Agreed, the defense was closer to being a good unit so they invested heavily into it. Remains to be seen if Beane is a good judge on the other side of the ball Next year will tell
  10. Of course, the long term deals they sign next year set the table along with drafts from 2017/18/19 for McDermott's tenure Beane screws the pooch and were blowing it right back up with the next guy in 2020
  11. yeah their defense sucks but we wont take advantage of it Lets be honest, they will stack the box on early downs and Clappy will run right into it Then on third and long they will play press man and bring heat on old Man Anderson Game over Highly doubt Daboll all of a sudden gets after them on early downs We'll play for that 1% likelyhood that somehow we get multiple turnovers and can stay within a score in the 4th Note to self, restock beer for Monday
  12. Why trade for Thomas he probably gets cut in the off season. Bills need youth, this season is a wash
  13. Just say no to acquiring aging wrs Those quick fix band aids are for contenders not a team trying to lay its foundation
  14. I'm reserving judgement till after next years FA and draft . If they are doing a tear down I expect young players getting signed in FA No more 30 something used to be's. Also spend some draft capital and money on offense. McDermott has all the tools minus a corner opposite White to field a top 10 defense. He'll need to get some replacement parts for a few aging guys but the bulk of it is there. Imagine how good his defense would be with a offense that actually scored points and put pressure on the other team to follow suit. Now watch them go out and draft mostly defense, lol
  15. Last two years they have done ok if not well. Lets be completely honest with ourselves Last years Bills record may have been 9-7 but that was a very very lucky 9-7. This year we could be 3-4 if not for a bad break vs the Texans and latter part of the year gets easier (assuming we get something going at qb) Looking at the big picture we need game breaking talent on offense. McCoy is old. We have no other real weapons on offense. Clay and Benjamin need to be gone Send DiMarco packing I dont who else pays that much for a fullback in the modern NFL. Its almost as bad as when we have two place kickers. See what happens with Zay with the rest of his rookie deal. Draft some speed. Get that Williams kid from SD They wont put more $ into WR so he will go somewhere else he's young big and fast
  16. Every team needs young cheap talent. They need to hit on some free agents or make some trades The roster will turn over before they accomplish anything with just draft picks. This upcoming off season is going to determine if Beane was the right pick He gutted the roster, freed up tons of cap space and accumulated picks vs players. The 2019 Bills better be a hell of a lot more talented than the 2018 team. The 2017/2018 drafts so far look good (don't want to jinx) 2019 better have a better corner opposite White, offensive line help (can we please do better than Mills at RT?) A young pass rushing end. Obviously some play makers for Allen to grow with Get some speed on this team Get a big TE who can run .
  17. Hopefully Allen heals up and we get to see Darnold vs Allen twice this season. When Allen comes back I'd like to see McDermott quit babying Allen and put it on him. Let the passing offense open up Quit this run run pass only when you have to (3rd and long) If you have to narrow it to one side of the field and only a few reads going the same direction that's fine but let the kid get reps throwing the football . This 20 attempts a game 1945 nfl crap sucks Were not competative so use the season for something useful like giving this guy meaningful snaps to learn his craft
  18. Its not just giving up the 1st rounder Its also the trade off between the huge amount they will pay Cooper vs the rookie contract they would pay the draft pick Seems like a move born in desperation but then again Jerry is getting up there plus he needs to evaluate Prescott before his rookie year deal is done
  19. I want Peterman to start so McDermott gets him out of his system once and for all. I dont want him on the roster as a reminder of Clappy's stuborness and lack of evaluating the qb position
  20. Realistically we probably have one more win with Tyrod and probably the same if Allen finishes the Texan game. But we'd have a big cap hit mediocre qb on the payroll They did the right thing just did it half hearted
  21. im rooting for all the teams below us to win week in week out Might be hard to out do the Raiders/cardinals but we might have a shot at picking 3rd
