In 2 years my fiance and I will both be APP's, she's already one, I'm halfway there. Ideally I we want to leave the Rochester area well before retirement, as in 2 - 3 years. We both do not like the cold nor the taxes and want to be near the water/ocean. We vacationed in Charleston SC last year and loved it, but we also have our eyes on Wilmington NC as it is a little cheaper and still very close to the ocean. We are both from Rochester so our families are located here, that does not hold me back but it makes her tentative on leaving as we have a 5 month old in case we need emergency baby sitters. If we stay up here, the day I retire I am buying a beach side/ beach town condo in a warm nice place and I will snow bird it for 8-9 months a year.

Lifeline is good. My mom bought one for my dad. He has parkinson's and falls occasionally and happens mainly when no one is home. My dad once spent 6 weeks in the hospital and rehab due to one of these falls because he fell shortly after my mom left for work and was down for a long time and scraped his leg as he fell and got a nasty bought of cellulitis. Now he has one he can push and can sensor a quick movement like a fall and alerts lifeline who calls 911, my mom who works a mile away, myself and my brother. Its alerted us 3-4 times since and the ambulance and fire fighters along with my mom were there in minutes. Excellent product and service.

Plenty of trails in Letchworth State Park. Not much to do in Mount Morris. They have a Puerto Rican restaurant that gets good reviews. But aside from that You have to travel outside the area for things to do. (I.e village of Geneseo may have some interesting things since its a college town, Conesus lake which is a small overcrowded finger lake). Growing up in the area, it was the park and what you could do in the park, like hot air ballooning, white water rafting, hiking, touring the damn and that was it, there was no XYZ in the immediate area outside the park.
