  1. See, I disagree. Most of them have played better when given the chance than Trubisky. Maybe Trubisky turned a corner in Buffalo, but that's hard to say after a couple preseason games. And yes, the rookies are unproven, but most them also played pretty well this preseason. The veterans have proven to be good players. Keenum led the Vikings to a 13-3 record in few years ago. Minshew was a good QB on a garbage Jacksonville team. Mariota has been a good starter. Lock may or may not be, he honestly is very similar to Trubisky of showing flashes but never putting it all together. Trubisky is a good backup. I just don't feel after 1 preseason you can anoint him the best backup in the league. He may prove me wrong.
  2. Trey Lance Minshew Mariota Keenum Lock would be close Fields/Dalton Brissett Mac Jones and Jordan Love are unproven, so it's hard to say, but 95% of teams would take them over Trubisky. Trubisky is a decent QB, but he's not good either. Judy an average guy, which is OK as a backup.
  3. You really think Trubisky is the best backup in the league? After 1 preseason? He was a below average starter who has had a good preseason. I think he'd have trouble breaking a top 10 of backups in the league.
  4. Trubisky would sign the franchise tag so fast and Buffalo would be screwed. Paying top 5 money for 2 QBs? And who would trade for him at that pay?
  5. Cooper Rush has played just as well in the preseason, and already knows their system.
  6. A fully voidable $140M contract. His contract for this year is around $12M, and it can all be voided after the year with no consequence.
  7. I don't see any way a team gives up anywhere near a 3rd rounder for QB who has been average at best his whole career, and is on a 1 year contract, all because he played fairly well in 2 preseason games against mostly 2nd stringers. Trubisky isn't a bad QB at all, but there was next to no market for him in FA. A couple decent preseason games won't change that.
  8. Trading a 4th for Jake Fromm, and then starting him, is exactly how you go 0-and-whatever.
  9. That's how you beat every great QB. Not like this is some great mystery.
  10. Exposed? If you truly believe that, then did the Chiefs "expose" Buffalo in the AFC championship game? I don't understand how one team getting beat is exposing them and another team getting beat is just nothing.
  11. This is the most tryhard trolling I've ever seen.
  12. 40, maybe not destroy him, but I think he'd win. He actually starts "slow" in comparison to his times. But there's zero doubt that Bolt is faster.
  13. Schobert is a good LB. Not great against the run, but a very solid coverage guy. Pretty average athletically, but seems to be smart and diagnoses well.
  14. Because there are plenty of gay people who are afraid to come out, or who have or are contemplating suicide. Having a "public" figure in a sport that hasn't really had many people come out may grant one person the ability to come out or to reevaluate suicide. Letting people know it's "ok", whatever that may mean to each person, can be very helpful.
  15. The Browns lost their top 5 WRs 2 days before the game due to COVID and weren't even allowed to practice. Hardly "normal" circumstances.
  16. Yes, passing is more valuable, to an extent. If you have the best online or close, and the best RB duo in the game, you run the ball. Period. Teams are built to stop the pass now, so if you can establish the run, you do. Also, if defense is a weakness, then running helps mask that to an extent.
  17. Stefanski prioritized the run in Minnesota too. And Chubb is a top tier RB, as is Hunt. It would be stupid to NOT prioritize the run.
  18. Johnson is a top tier safety. Ward is pretty close to White, he's just injured more than you'd like. Hill will be in the slot as he has been. They now have Newsome to go along with Ward, Hill, Greedy Williams, and Delpit back at safety. Ronnie Harrison is pretty decent too
  19. 2018 Chubb hardly played until 3/4 of the way through the year. He would come in once every two games and break off a big run and then hardly play after that because Hue Jackson is stupid. Callaway was hit and miss too so I wouldn't really count him as a weapon. He made a couple big plays and then basically disappeared. And Njoku has been really up and down his whole career as well. Plus he missed almost all of 2019. I would call 2018 a wash just in terms of support. 2019 Mayfield had better weapons but way a worse coach and was playing in his third system in 2 years. That's more what I meant when I said he had a harder situation. He was changing coordinators and head coaches left and right. It's hard to get comfortable in a system when it's changing all the time.
  20. The first 7, sure. But why if Buffalo did something is it them "making plays" but if Cleveland did it, it's the other team spotting them points? That's how things are presented here. I think both teams will be in the hunt next year. Buffalo plays in a MUCH easier division, so that'll help the record portion, but I think both teams are pretty even right now. Allen is better than Mayfield right now, but Mayfield has had a much harder situation in his career so far. Mayfield will never be Allen in terms of ability, but he can still be a top tier QB. I also don't think Allen would be who he is today if he changed HC and OC as many times as Cleveland did in 3 years. Cleveland is much more balanced then Buffalo. Buffalo has"proven" it longer. But Cleveland I feel had finally figured out the GM and HC situations, so going forward both teams should be good. Remember, Cleveland's current GM wanted McDermott, not Hue Jackson. D And he wanted Stefanski last year, but Freddie Kitchens.
  21. The Jets game had Cleveland missing their top 5 WRs due to Covid, and they started 2 players who had never seen an NFL field and were signed 3 days before the game.
  22. Why would Philly even accept that?
