  1. If the ball is in the air, it's still illegal. And that was past 5 yards. That directly "ended" the game.
  2. Dude bear hugged him and then held. It's illegal contact at a minimum, but easily PI too.
  3. There's no way to prove that either way. We can also ignore that Rudolph hit him in the groin more than once before the helmet incident.
  4. Yes, he made 1 incredibly stupid mistake on the field. He got rightfully punished for it. Tens of thousands of fans make an even dumber mistake every Sunday driving home drunk. Are they all terrible people as well?
  5. What's the issue with Garrett? Minus his really stupid helmet incident, he is a model person and player. Just curious.
  6. I understand it's football, but what I'm saying that is what they can use when it comes to firing him with cause. He allegedly kicked an employee for not making kicks. It wasn't even in the "heat of the moment" or anything. He just did it while they were stretching. Also, from the contract language I am seen tossed around, the bar situation could be "with cause", the kicking situation, and possibly some of his other actions. While not illegal, they could fall under the "representing the team poorly, or engaging in unethical behavior" which is the way the contract is written. Again, it sounds like it'll be up to the Commissioner to decide.
  7. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/12/16/if-urban-meyer-was-fired-for-cause-a-fight-over-his-remaining-pay-could-be-looming/ I'm not. I'm on a phone or I would go to the exact language that shows and paste it direct.
  8. I think the Commissioner decides, because the NFL structure says that is what happens. It's what will happen. 100%. So it's highly unlikely he goes against the owners given the alleged evidence.
  9. Seeing as how the Commissioner decides, and Meyer was caught doing several unethical things, including allegedly assaulting an employee, I bet you're wrong.
  10. The Browns/Raiders is Monday at 5pm, not Tuesday. So it's 2 days, not 4. Also, Cleveland plays again next Saturday, so they get an even shorter week. They play Monday, not Tuesday. Also. Cleveland plays again Saturday, so they get even less time.
  11. I guess I'm saying it's weird to try to use that now given the fact that they knew about it months ago, so obviously it was not fireable then but somehow is now? I understand why they're going to try to use that but I do not understand how it's going to work given the fact that it's an old instance and they did nothing about it when it actually happened.
  12. I think it was $9 million/yr, but yes, they are trying to fire him with cause, I believe due to the Lambo story, which is weird given that Lambo reported in TC.
  13. I know that is just a hypothetical, but that is assuming they all restructure to base minimum salaries.
  14. The issue with doing the 15 yard penalty for DPI is that on almost every deep ball, especially at the end a half/game, is that the defender will just tackle the receiver and take the penalty. If you get beat, just interfere. I haver no issue with the calls being observed from a central location to review quick, it just makes it tough especially if teams are running hurry up.
  15. To compare, would Buffalo have trusted a rookie Allen to pass in last night's weather? Jones is a rookie, who doesn't have the arm Allen does. Not many do. So it would be stupid to force passes that they didn't need to. People always want to compare players in the now, when Allen has a 3 year head start in his system, and playing in the NFL. You can't directly compare the 2 players, especially in the crazy weather.
  16. It was weird. Once Michigan adjusted to that PA bootleg that worked some in the 1st half, their offense was toast. Ferentz is a great coach, and he overachieves at Iowa, but how can you literally have no other plan than that? Michigan has a decent chance in the playoffs, but they need more out of McNamara. He shows flashes, but he needs to have a Nick Foles type playoff switch to get them a championship. The defense and run game are there.
  17. You're nuts. How many games have you watched? Hooper has been very good. He doesn't put up huge numbers because they run so much, but he is a good blocker and he moves the chains. Njoku has been good too. His hands are iffy at times, but he offers downfield passing in a TE, and his blocking has improved a ton. Malik Jackson has been very solid. He's definitely not what he used to be, but he is still an above average starter for sure. Wills played over half the year on 1 leg. He had a severe ankle sprain in week 2. And despite that, his running blocking was still good, he just struggled in pass pro until it healed up. Also, Mack Wilson isn't a starter at this point, and even Walker is replaced by Malcolm Smith a lot.
  18. QB is at least questionable right now. TE is not a weakness at all. If Harrison Bryant is your 3rd TE, you're doing just fine. WR, as someone else said, needs a #1, or at least a speed guy to back the defense up. Not just a guy who can run fast down the field, he needs to be able to produce when the defense moves up to stop Chubb/Hunt/Johnson. Landry is fine. Higgins is fine, just has the injury bug this year. Schwartz is the speed guy, but has been hurt, and not produced much yet. Peoples-Jones is hot and cold right now, but has been injured a lot too. He has the potential to be a solid #2, maybe more, but needs to keep improving. LB is debatable. I think they need to upgrade at MLB, but they rarely play 3 LB anyway. Owusu-Koramoah will be a Pro Bowler, and soon. Dude is a missile, and reads the offense extremely well, especially for a rookie. DT they basically need depth and youth. Malik Jackson is good, but older. Malik McDowell is really good, especially for where he has come from. He needs to improve no doubt, but he is extremely overpowering at times. And Jordan Elliot is a good, quick tackle. Not great, but pretty serviceable.
  19. And even with 3 sacks, Hutchinson was held WAY more than what was called. He was headlocked to the ground at least twice that I saw that wasn't called.
  20. Nope. Not sour grapes at all......
  21. The NFLPA doesn't want it after the draft, especially now with the slotted draft positions. FA players land bigger contracts when there is the unknown of who will be available in the draft.
  22. Peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Not very often though. Like once or twice a year. It's weirdly delicious.
  23. He's dropping passes non stop too. In 6 games this year I'm pretty sure hes dropped 3 4th down passes that hit him square in the chest.
