so far beanes decisions arent looking too good hopefully for everyones sake josh allens turns out to be a franchise qb if not were back here in 3 years firing the whole scouting dept again as the pegulas hire some new regime

well yeahh but we keep trying to take shots and each time he either overthrows foster or foster drops it..bottom line the wr corps is abysmal so as much as i agree that going deep softens the pressure on the run do we have the personnel or the line to do it..other than the vikings game the oline has been under siege

Establish the run so the play-action is actually effective..shady only had 5 carries last game..give him some easy reads like the vikings games..scheme some completions..wr screens etc..move to a quicker passing game so he doesnt have the opportunity to hold the ball and make bad decisions..call more of the plays hes comfortable with.Stick with the run even if its not working and stop getting pass happy hes not equipped for that at this point in his career..if we wanted someone who was ready to be a volume passer day 1 we sghould have drafted rosen .

I hear ya but Allen is our Qb either way gotta just let him grow and get behind him . I had the qbs ranked Mayfield Rosen Darnold in that order pre draft. Allen was always going to be the one who looked the least ready off the bat..because he simply isn't at the same point in his development as the other 3..Mayfield and Rosen already have pocket presence and understand how to throw the football as in when to put zip and when to put touch etc..Allen is still learning these things..mcbeane is banking on him having the highest long term potential due to his physical skill..lets hope hes right or this will be crippling.

The Entire offence was so bad its hard to get a judgement on Allens performance today..it wasnt like the chargers game where allen left some plays on the field and had okish protection..daboll came in with a really bad gameplan..the o line was awful in both run and pass blocking..Im not sure how you expect a Raw rookie to perform in a circumstance where hes facing constant blitzing and the play calling doesnt adapt to that pressure...and absolutely no running game..mccoy ran the ball 5 times.

i dont have a problem with the call...its just a lack of execution.

I honestly don't even understand what his philosophy is..like what are his plays that he relies on...where was the quick plays from the minny game last week there just seems like a lack of cohesion in his play calling u dont see from otehr coordinators

great points the biggest cause for concern for me is daboll..theres absolutely 0 rhythm to this offence...why would mcdermott fire rick dennison then hire another coordinator with even less nfl success calling plays..they knew they were drafting a rookie qb if any this was the time to get a veteran play caller with history of working with qbs who are successful ...todd haley was out there whos record speaks for itself ..chud was available..and darell bevell even they have achieved alot more than daboll in the nfl..so far daboll has lived up to his horrible stints before as oc in the nfl

Theres no quick fix but it starts with talent acquisition ..the defence could still use more playmakers..but the offence is in dire need of a complete overhaul..mc/beane decided to get rid of the players from Whaley's regime fine but then why trot out your rookie QB with the worst group of wrs as a group that I've possibly ever seen and a oline devoid of talent minus Dawkins . The strength of the team should be running the ball but McCoy has nowhere to go because the oline gets no push.

In New England when they're getting blitzed they throw screens and wr screens it's the staple I would think daboll would have incorporated those things

Dabolls play calling has been abysmal to say the least . Other than the Vikings game he's not helping Allen with his playcalling..why so many passes called given our personnel ..giving McCoy only 5 touches is unnaceptable. The Packers were sending a variety of blitzes all game and Allen isnt there yet when it comes to blitz recognition and knowing his hots so he has to call plays to reduce the pressure well timed screens for example

No because the line does a really poor job creating holes theyve actually been somewhat ok at times during pass blocking but they get very little push..McCoy isn't a back who's gonna get up in the hole and power forward for 3 yards like ivory . He wants to bounce runs and create space but that takes cohesive blocking

That's true for sure and he should have at least learned more about it at Wyoming but what it is..Allen is our QB and he's a project so this fanbase is gonna have to be patient which is why we should have had a vet qb so he could sit and learn . He'll have his ups and downs while learning to play the position properly I just hope the nuances is something he can learn when he has time and clean feet he can be accurate.

Allen is still learning the intracasies and nuances of the QB position that's the risk the bills assumed drafting him ..highest ceiling but an unfinished product . He still doesn't know when to use zip and touch and step up etc ..hopefully it's something hell learn .
