The interesting thing about Allen holding the ball too long is..what if he's just that type of qb. Ben roethlisberger and rusell Wilson have basically held the ball way too long for the majority of their careers..and Josh at Wyoming always held the ball. Don't know if he'll ever be able to consistently get the ball out quick seems to go against his natural instincts . Contrast to Brady from year 1 he was getting the ball out super quick ..same with brees . Maybe tho daboll can teach him that not sure.

Defintely Marrone he always had us competitive and prepared ..he was just hamstrung by awful Qb play..ej was so bad..they had to go out and get Kyle Orton. I think with a better gm aka coughlin he would have been great here. Whaley screwed him on ej pick and the Watkins trade up. If we just stay put and then draft Bridgewater the next year or even pick up a good vet we'd be fine . He also has a knack for great staff hires which McDermott has failed at so far..Pettine and shwartz were great hires .

Even when playing against the very best defences a quarterback can still show competence and traits. Peterman is not an NFL qb period..he lacks the physical ability and the mental composure .

I agree with you completely ..I meant from McDermott's perspective. I wasn't impressed with Peterman at all this offseason..but the organization felt good enough about him to not sign an experienced signal caller . That's the alarming part . Not to mention the lack of production from Zay jones ...with juju and Cooper kupp picked many picks after him you start to question Beane...

There is offences that are predicated on gong vertical..bucaneers rams..Steelers ..but as far as an offence who basically lined up most plays and ran deep patterns I doubt we see that again..it nearly got Kurt Warner killed once the rams oline got a little bit older ..the pass rush in today's NFL is too exotic for these protections to hold up play after play. The rams just had the perfect personnel at the time top 5 all time left tackle veteran great oline 2 elite WRs .

I don't disagree, he hasn't managed the qb situation properly. I think one issue is their plan kinda blew up in their face last year . They gutted the roster to fix the cap and get rid of players who didn't fit their vision and they anticipated having a terrible season.then the team got super lucky and timely turnovers and squeaked out 9 wins now they had to trade assets ..I think they figured they have a top 5 pick and could use all their picks for qb oline linebackers.however theres no excuse for Beane not addressing the line once wood and Incognito left his priority should have been to bring in replacements . I think the organization felt they would atleast get fairly competent play out of Peterman until week 7 or thereabouts where Josh could play ..can't blame them Peterman was great all spring in practice and preseason he looked like a different player ..unfortunately just like at Tennessee when the lights came on he panics .

You make great points..but the problem with that is our personnel and lack of discipline. No huddle requires great communication and football intelligence.our offensive line has struggled to even get plays off without false starts and communicating post and pre snap . I can already foresee ducasse or whoever it is on the line blowing assignments.

It's not just about the interceptions it's Peterman complete inability to even have a competent series on offence much less a game . He's shown nothing under live regular season game action .theres nothing hyperbolic about that .

Peterman just isnt seeing the field properly... He predetermined where hes going with the ball didnt read the defence at all on that play.

Benjamin is not a traditional wr his speed is average hes more like a small tight end. hes not nearly as talented as even sammy watkins but what he does give you is size and jump ball ability..he would be good with a qb who understands all the nuances of the game like brady obv brees etc but for a rookie qb or a young player like peterman its hard to tell when hes open because he hardly ever is you have to just be able to trust hell come down with a contested catch .
