who said anything about distance being the measure of velocity..velocity is shown on deep outs and passes you have to drive ..any nfl qb can throw it deep 50 yards even chad pennington could..and guess what passes peterman struggles on ..sideline velocity throws. and the link you just sent says "Flashes the ability to zip the ball into tight spots. Has a quick, over-the-top delivery. Puts a ton of revolutions on the ball and can make all the throws" so i dont know if you were trying to help your argument but you made it worse. I watched cam at auburn he had excellent velocity and he was known for having zip from day 1 nice try tho. the link you sent also says "Newton is one of the most athletically gifted quarterbacks in draft history. Possesses a quick, clean release, enough arm strength to complete the deep out" yeah i agree with what you said here peterman has definetely shown so far hes very accurate when his feet are set..but their styles are a bit different drew loves to go vertical peterman is more like brady of the most recent years accurate short passes slants

I will continue to use my eyes and my brain. Like i said if you think Cam Newton Known for having an absolute cannon arm and the combine point has no merit..because Cam had a cannon at Auburn and if you think has the same velocity on his passes as ryan nassib or andy dalton ..then you need to get your eyes checked. I don't need scientific data to tell me that aaron rodgers has a significantly stronger arm then drew brees..or tyrod taylor or matt ryan i can see that on the field by the velocity in their passes..its not that hard to comprehend

certainly you should be able to realize by now that theres a flaw in those numbers..use your eyes if you think Joe Flacco has a weaker arm than andy dalton then you clearly dont know how to judge velocity..deshaun watson made throws last year that peterman has no ability to make yet the list says his arm is significantly weaker than petermans..dont use data thats clearly skewed to show your personal bias. Cam newton has an absolute cannon according to that list he has a weaker arm than mark sanchez no one would agree with that.

Umm what Games are you watching...Drew Brees has very good velocity on his passes what made you think he lacked arm strength his size?
-
cousins actually has a really strong arm...petermans arm compares moreso to chad pennington

Bills @ da Bears 1st Half Thread

Lmao what a terrible throw by mcarron no zip -
What he brings to the table can be found at a cheaper price..instead of spending on the oline where we lost the whole left side..he overspends on star because hes familiar with him from carolina..why did carolina let him go..for the same reason im seeing so far..reduced impact..other than his rookie year his impact has been getting less and less prounounced hes graded as one of the worst dts in the league last year..

Calling Shananigans On the JA hate
bills11 replied to GoodHands15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone who blames Allen for todays debacle doesnt know football..The offensive line was atrocious...the wrs had trouble separating. Could he have gotten rid of the ball a hair sooner sure..but just contrast the time he had to dalton or barkley..on the td pass to aj green dalton has over 3 seconds to throw..on the one play in the first half allen barely finishes his drop before ducasses is pushed right back into his lap. -
yeah..the guy is being paid 10 million a year..im expecting a bigger impact for that kinda contract
-
hes excellent against the run thats his value...in other aspects hes never gonna wow us
-
I honestly havent seen anything from other than being pushed back..he was pushed around by the bengals today

Its because first and foremost he was good last preseason as well . And he's making all the throws we already know Peterman is decent at ..soft tosses over the middle slants..quick fades. The minute he has to throw outside..the ball has no velocity on it and it's nearly pick 6..he's limited as a passer because of his physical limitations it's hard to get behind a guy who you know limits the playbook. He struggles to even to get adequate zip on a simple quick out .

OKTC recaps the 2013 preseason hype of EJ Manuel
bills11 replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was never a believer in EJ it baffles me to this day how a former professional scout turned gm could think he was good . Even his " YouTube highlights " were not impressive . He had such an unnatural release at FSU and Hackett and Marrone tried to " fix " it and it made it even worse. For a guy with a big arm his passes lacked velocity ..Ill never forgot the game I believe vs jets where Marrone nearly lost his mind cus ej kept throwing vertical and corner routes way outta bounds . -
Question: Can passing accuracy issues be fixed?
bills11 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a very good overlooked pt ..theres different types of throwers ..Josh Allen is never gonna be the peyton/Brees/ brady hit the back foot spray 40 passes a game for 380 yards with pinpoint accuracy ...think of him like a big Ben or Russ Wilson or Carson Wentz guys who throw the ball with excellent velocity and are productive on explosive plays rather than pinpoint accuracy . -
Chad Kelly looked great last night.

His elongated throwing motion is a big problem tho he's gonna throw pick sixes unless he makes it more compact. His velocity and accuracy looked good tho -
Question: Can passing accuracy issues be fixed?
bills11 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Accuracy can be improved depending on the reason for the innacuracy . EJ Manuel couldn't improve his accuracy because his entire mechanics were unnatural from his throwing motion to footwork . Josh Allen has fluid throwing mechanics and footwork that can be improved it's the small details that make a big difference. Just look at Aaron Rodgers in college vs NFL ..Tedford overcoached Rodgers changed his mechanics his accuracy suffered ...in the NFL mcarthy had him go back to how he threw naturally in highschool . -
I thought AJ was the best qb on the field tonight his pocket precense and his accuracy was good..Peterman had good production but his arm talent just isn't good enough for professional football you can win with him in an offence where you keep him away from perimeter routes but after a cpl weeks defences will just flood the middle like they did vs Trent Edwards ..Josh Allen was encouraging tonight..the 3rd string o line was awful I feel like he showed relatively good poise and had the flashes ..the TD throw obviously was phenomenal and you could see his talent translating albeit in this small sample size .

Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
bills11 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I read about Russ Brandon telling the pegulas to not let rex leave the building..heres this loudmouth coach who hadn't made the playoffs in nearly half a decade..and actually lost badly to Marrone and Kyle Orton..vaunted defence that couldn't even contain Watkins ..then we hire him as a saviour when his defence hadnt been ranked high in years -
EJ manuel had a big arm during the combine when he was coached up...if you watched him at fla state..or during bills game despite having the ability to put zip on the ball his ball always floated..i still remember Jim kelly being in the booth with tasker etc as a guest and hes watching ej and hes like just rip the ball..cus ej wud float comeback routes cus his mechanics were so robotic
