  1. Another point I will make is.. what's the point of upgrading the wr corps if Brady isn't gonna use them.. I watched Joshua Palmer make plays for the Chargers in a variety of ways.. when diggs was here when brady took over his scheme made it appear that diggs was done and that has not been the case...Even tho Amari Cooper lost a step you're telling me one of the elite route running technicians wasn't able to get open on comebacks and slants ? We sign samuel for big money no touches .. everyone talks about missing the keon Coleman pick but would ladd McConkey even have production in this scheme?
  2. Both while our wr group is average at best. A more cohesive scheme would still afford better opportunities and flow.. Brady like has been pointed out before has shown an inability to get production out of any wrs since he came to buffalo. It has almost always felt like the passing game has been an afterthought under brady with a few exceptions ( lions game last year) matchups vs the Chiefs. We've won alot of games where Josh had an ordinary game..this is one of the top 3 elite passers in the game today there is no situation where drake maye or a past his prime Aaron rodgers should be outpacing his numbers. Even tho he won mvp last year and limited t.os Josh is capable of so much more
  3. Could not agree more I made a similar topic in the offseason a few posters said it was inappropriate to question Brady's resume..bottom line is do the bills DO have some talent that can be used. I've come to theorize that I believe that's just how they want to run the offence.. I think after Dorsey didn't work out running a high volume pass offence and Josh was turning rhe ball over and we lost to the dolphins go figure. McDermott put rhe complete clamps on the offence Josh is being coached to not take risks with fhe ball at all.
  4. Agreed 100%... Diggs targets and production went wayy down once Joe Brady took over..and as we saw first hand unfortunately he's still got it..
  5. Keon Coleman is just not ever going to be able to seperate from NFL corners consistently...mcbeane missed on the pick there's really nothing else to it.
  6. The offence was earth shattering tonight..team looked a bit disjointed.. The bigger issue is the same issue that has cost us in the playoffs vs the Chiefs time and time again..overall lack of team speed and that falls solely on the shoulders of McBeane. How many times have we watched the bills get pressure on mahomes..or even Jalen hurts in the reg season matchup where we couldn't stop them..our defence gets any sort of pressure the qb scrambles and our defenders are grasping at air or making the tackle a beat too late.. Maye isn't prime mike vick or Lamar when the plays are there we have to make them. The team has drafted heavy on defence multiple drafts for this regime and it feels like our weaknesses have not been addressed. Our corners are slow..our defensive ends are slow..our pursuit is slow it's a revolving door of the same issue
  7. True it's a very interesting approach similar to what the Colts did with Peyton..the one downside as you said is sometimes going to the well a bit too often like when we ran the sneak with Josh and the chiefs knew it was coming .
  8. When is this organization going to hold coach McDermott responsible for the ineptitude of this defence.. defence is his side of the ball year after year we spend draft capital on defence snd sign free agents and the same exact defence shows up .
  9. Brady had Burrow at LSU he should be used to having a top flight qb the play calling is way too conservative right now
  10. It's not that deep It's an observation on the lack of production from our wr position..not attacking Joe Brady's body of work I'm completely aware of his resume..the offence overall has been great Just would like to see more production from tight ends and wrs..
  11. We signed Joshua Palmer now, and probably Will look to add another wideout in the draft , but one thing that has been concerning to me after it now looks like we've moved on from Amari Cooper is Joe Brady's ability to use WR's in the passing game. While I understand cooper may have lost a step I still believe he was capable of contributing alot more than he's shown..we saw a similar massive dip ( third of the production he did under dorsey ) with Stefon diggs once Brady took over. While the offence as a whole has been greatly productive one of the major weaknesses has been production at tight end and wr..the only game this past season where we saw a heavy involvment of wrs and tight ends in the passing attack was the lions games which was just a perfect game on offence. WR's and tight ends to multiple games with barely a catch in this offence and we know Josh is capable of more as we've seen in his seasons under the tutelage of Daboll.
  12. The problem with blowing it up is do you trust this leadership group to upgrade on both Beane and McDermott who are paired. It can get alot worse it you make the wrong choice..like Eagles firing andy reid and hiring chip Kelly..
  13. I think alot of us are not happy about the coaching tonight but the bigger issue is we've been out drafted if we're going to beat a team with one of the best coaches and probably top 2 offensive coaches the game has ever seen we need to have a talent advantage.. we've spent copious amounts of draft pick on the defence specifically the line and our draft picks just have not performed to expectancy of where they were drafted.. that's on Brandon Beane and McDermott and it's the bigger transgression than the coaching blunders.
  14. Its basically parallels the colts vs patriots era..we are Tony Dungys colts part two...an elite passer combined with a soft zone coverage defence built to bend not break...meanwhile the chiefs are the Patriots an Elite qb built with an aggressive defence that attacks...reid is the offensive vefsion of Belichick and sean is basically dungy great motivator and leader of men but doesnt peform
  15. Officiating has been horrendous across the board this season. I don't know whats going on if we need more replay involvement or w.e but these blown calls are atrocious..two absolutely phantom blown calls against the bills yesterday..and you could argue it was pi on the ball to Coleman. You're seeing games decided by horrific officiating..needs to change.
  16. Lol here comes the good ole kc bailout calls
  17. This has always been Josh Allen's weakness..he missed diggs deep wide open numerous times last season..outside of I guess 2020? I dont have the actual data just from memory he has overthrown numerous deep would be touchdowns. Oddly enough he throws them pretty accurately in the playoffs when there is more pressure..like the clutch bomb to davis vs chiefs..and the perfect pass to diggs he dropped last year...
  18. For as strong as Josh's arm is one thing hes always struggled with is deep ball accuracy he can hit them but not as consistent as you would like ... most of the time he doesn't put enough air then he overcompensates and puts too much air
  19. If this is how our defence is gonna play we have no shot. There's been wide open cardinals on every play.
  20. Josh's playoff numbers are historical it's a team game..he has 21 tds and 4 int in his playoff careers ..for reference Roethlisberger had 36 tds 28int peyton 40-25.. he's a historic level qb the only reason he hasn't won a superbowl is the defence. People forget how the pats defence carried brady at the beggining of his career
  21. Yeah that is Josh's one weakness in his game. It's Just his playstyle and mentality not sure it will ever change. Peyton Manning was like that compared to Brady . He always wanted the chunk play while Brady wud dink and dunk u to death. Favre was like that..Prime Roethlisberger did the run around waiting for big plays like josh frequently rather than take check downs.
  22. It's Josh overcompensating for his arm strength most likely..in the his first few years Allen would at times over throw ( not enough arc) john brown and diggs the first season he came to Buffalo so he tends to leave them a bit shorter at times. But in alot of these cases its just him missing because hes unable to step in due to pressure
  23. Im clearly refering to the slang usage of yips from a sporting perspective I've already mentioned that..not the medical definition...its not rocket science lol And again I'm not talking about what wen we saw daboll confront Josh on TV.. I'm talking about what I've read about happening behind the scenes there's no guarantees its all true but consensus was daboll and him had a special relationship and he really knew how to hold Josh accountable. Its speculative like anything else but Josh doesn't seem to be learning from his careless mistakes..his TD to interception ratio since the 2nd half of last year is extremely worrisome .
  24. Yips in sports term literally means anxiousness affecting performance usually used in golf lingo.. nothing to do with performance arts either..no one is talking about public displays of anger just that accountability seems to be lacking .
  25. Allen has regressed since the " covid lockdown year" it's a combination of mental and physical...the lack of crowds meant psychologically he was able to zone out and play within structure without the " yips" he struggles with when he gets hyped up.. and daboll wud get on him I don't see anyone holding him accountable now other than diggs and that's not good for the team . Dorsey isn't a good o.c but Josh continually bypasses checkdowbs and underneath routes to go for homerun balls similar to late career Favre.
