  1. Tomlin is one the most overrated coaches of the past era his success early on was more attributed to Bruce Arians scheme and dick lebeau then anything particularly great from him schematically he sounds good in locker room speeches but that's about it .
  2. The Patriots are just different . They are the most flexible team in the NFL for years on offence. What they do better than most is really use their personnel to it's maximum abilities..their scheme morphs not only year to year but week to week which makes them very hard to gameplan for and that is unique in the NFL. It makes them very hard to defend because there isn't much you can take away you can't just say oh let's double Edelman or let's take away gronk on the seams because then they will just attack you underneath with shifty quick rbs or find another diverse way to attack you . It's why for example despite both offences being explosive the Rams were completely shut down and Andy's Reid's offences have always given belichick fits..Reid similar to the pats has an offence that's constantly evolving and changing and formational diversity that's very hard to key on .
  3. Neither does drew Brees they have really high release points which helps immensely at their height
  4. I give allen a b- today he was accurate ..made some big throws and most impressive was his poise ..darnold had jittery feet throwing ofd his back foot all day while Josh never faltered . He did however make some terrible decisions throwing the ball late he's gotta balance his aggresiveness
  5. This we dominated the game ..just really poor execution and ball security or we would have scored on the opening drive .
  6. John brown the Jets wr they call him smoke "..Gannon Is terrible
  7. It's a shame because this is the gameplan we should have had coming in the pass heavy no huddle was head scratching our offence was bottom of the pile last year were not just gonna be the 04 colts because we added two wideouts
  8. Josh has got to learn to stop throwing late ..in the NFL it's almost always an interception theres a balance there it's okay to take a checkdown or throw it away
  9. The dolphins look historically bad ..no pass rush whatsoever or defense
  10. Not a fan of this offensive gameplan..obviously they saw something on film which is making them go pass heavy but when we have ran the ball its been productive need to mix it up
  11. Nothing the pats have done since belichick has had the reins of the organization..has been ethical from illegal taping of the Rams practice before their first sb which I'm sure helped film study immensely. And other scummy things this is but the latest
  12. The only issue I have with this situation is if the raiders try to trade or release the pats will be all over it they love taking players with formerly bad reputations who are elite
  13. While yes this is true this year the afc will be very strong atleast on paper..there's alot of teams that potentially are as talented as we are New England kc San Diego ..Jacksonville should be back with foles at qb now ..Baltimore's defence is elite..browns ..colts potentially the wildcard battle on paper looks to be super intense this year.
  14. I don't know about getting rid of the slow motion..I definetely agree with certain aspects though..it's ridiculous when a call on the field that already is super questionable that looks questionable in slow motion gets overturned by replay like the Kelvin Benjamin touchdown from tyrod vs pats just before halftime . I cannot stand reviews that take 10 mins and break up the flow of the game...I'm intrigued by this real time replay idea
  15. I disagree with this completely ..Josh looked fine he had a touchdown dropped...and two plays called back by penalty the only truly poor throw he made was the low one to Zay jones..it's the preseason everything is vanilla all you're trying to go is give the offence some live game reps .
  16. Ultimately the last part is what matters ..the Bills probably don't hand out credentials to non mainstream media I'm guessing could be wrong . Technically anyone could start a podcast or YouTube channel and request credentials ..I don't think they would deny them to someone known like chris Simms maybe .
  17. Kb never wanted to play for the bills..his effort here was lackluster and disinterested in Carolina he showed he he could at least make contested catches and jump balls on occasion . His size and speed would be more suitable for a tight end .
  18. This guy needs to switch to tight end..can't keep his weight down anyways gets 0 seperation as a wide out .
  19. Precisely..no one runs the pure west coast..or pure air coryell..the original west coast offence didn't even have shotgun formations..but yes Andy Reid is still running alot of the core plays of the wco just disguising them with shifts motion and personnel groupings. And spot on about New England ..belichick is good friends with alot of college coaches and he's incorporated many elements of their schemes into their playbook ..he incorporated alot of plays from the spread and has used plays from chip Kelly's playbook and others. I wasn't attributing the air raid to the air coryell tho just giving an example of one of the schemes prevalent going forward ...air raid is basically a customized derivative of the run and shoot ..aka what the oilers ran in the early 90s .
  20. All schemes in the nfl are derivatives of the a few of the " post merger Modern" nfl offences..west coast..Eardhart perkins..or air coryell air raid etcs spread..they all use concepts that have been used since the schemes even existed..the bills and pats run plays from the eardhart perkins scheme that were in the playbooks from the beginning..the plays are still the same its how they are disguised that has changed along wit the personnel groupings.
  21. I agree. The game changed exponentially after bill polian complained about the pats holding the colts wrs...prior to that it wasnt common for QBs to toss 40+ TDS or hit huge yardage totals...now we have QBs approaching or surpassing marinos initial td record every season it seems like . The Pats have mastered the benefits of these rule changes by lining ultra quick small receivers that are impossible to contain because of the inability to get any contact on them like back in the day. All the older QBs numbers would be inflated in this era ...elway goes from having a 56% completion prolly to the high 60s and Marino would throw for 5000 yards every year like Brees
  22. Easily Fouts and montana...both were just better passers and QBs then the latter...young was much closer to Montana then rivers to Fouts but nonetheless inferior .
