Says the guy that wanted to discount the first ~12 games of the regular season ? The season stats indicate the Bills defense was pretty mediocre, and I think that's exactly what they were. Cherry picking a smaller sample size at the end of the regular season against inferior offensive teams doesn't change that. I'm not buying that the DEF was better by the end of the year when they were awful vs the Colts and Chiefs in the playoffs.

Stats I'd like to see for this 3 year span that would give this more context 1) Total games played 2) Total tackles made 3) Total tackles for loss or no gain 4) Total yardage lost on those tackles While I do agree with your premise that Tremaine Edmunds is dumped on unfairly by this board I don't think there's a single person that would argue he's the 2nd best OLB in the league. I don't know how many people would argue he's even in the top 10. The potential is there, but his actual play has been pretty average.

I voted that he'll regress a little bit. The amazing thing is that even if he regresses he could still be a top 5 QB and MVP candidate. That's how good his 2020 season was. Josh's stats might take a dip if our run game and defense improve enough that we can easily win games without him throwing 40+ times.

Don't know if that really matters when teams can seize properties via eminent domain for stadiums. They'd still need to pay "fair value" for the property, but it's safe to say it would be significantly cheaper than negotiating a private sale.

At least he didn't pull a Nate Peterman special and throw 5 INTs in the first half of a regular season game. Not that I approved of Peters holdout, but in his defense, he signed that contract as a RT and the Bills moved him to LT soon after the signing. He was grossly underpaid for a star LT. Howard did not move positions and is still being fairly compensated for being a star CB.

The 2nd year of a very lucrative deal that made him the highest paid CB in the league (at the time). It would be one thing if he signed a deal that he vastly outperformed, but that's not what's happening here at all. I'd be pissed if a Bills player did this

I find it funny in these hindsight posts that nobody brings up Gilmore and Woods. We let Gilmore walk for nothing and he's been all-pro multiple times with a defensive player of the year award.

Deandre Hopkins turned 29 a few days ago. If Murray improves they will be a scary team for years to come. Biggest question to me has to be the 49ers. They just invested a ton of draft capital in Trey Lance and it'll probably be at least one season before he starts playing. Is he the next Josh Allen? Or will he be a bust? Not surprisingly 6 of the 7 teams on this list have early 1st round QBs on rookie contracts. It'll remain to be seen how these teams do once they give their QB a mega contract. Will the Ravens even give Jackson a contract? If he can't improve his throwing game a huge contract would be an albatross

Generally speaking I don't care if veteran players go to the voluntary OTA's or not. Specifically to Star, I will say that it would've been nice if the guy that opted out of the entire 2020 season showed up for voluntary workouts in 2021. Probably safe to say he has a lot of catching up to do. Star's contract was an overpayment from day 1. He hasn't been a terrible player, but I'm pretty happy we have an out on his contract after this season.

Hard pass on trying to trade for Julio 1) We're already stacked at WR 2) He's older and has injury concerns 3) We don't have the cap space or draft capital (we could do cap gymnastics, but what happens when JA gets that new contract?) I just don't see the cost being worth it. Even if we're only talking a 3rd and a contract re-negotiation.

The Singletary drop happened when we were leading 9-7 2nd & 7 at KC 49 (12:46 - 2nd) (Shotgun) J.Allen pass incomplete short right to D.Singletary. I think people like to point to that play as a "what if" moment. It looked like Singletary would've easily gotten 10+ yards on that play, and maybe with a 1st down near the red zone the Bills offense would've gotten into a rhythm, and the entire game would've looked different from that moment on. Truthfully we got dominated the entire game, and only had a 9-0 lead because we won the coin toss, Tyreek Hill dropped an easy 20+ yard gain on the Chiefs first drive, and the muffed punt that we recovered at the 3 yard line.

It's ironic that the 5th year option for Josh is only 23 million while Tremaine is 13 million. 23 mil for Josh is about half of his fair market value, whereas the 13 mil for Tremaine is probably an overpayment.

Did people even watch the Chiefs vs Browns playoff game? Chiefs were up 19-10 when Mahomes got injured midway through the 3rd Quarter. Mahomes did not miss much of the game. The Chiefs were not dominating even when Mahomes was in.

100% agree that the Chiefs are still the class of the AFC (and the entire NFL). 2nd tier in the AFC is probably Bills/Browns/Titans/Colts/Ravens (in no particular order). If Reich can have Wentz playing near his 2017 level the Colts will be terrifying

Terrible fit for us We already have a really strong, and deep, WR corps. Adding a guy like Julio would produce diminishing returns (we can only throw the ball so many times in a game). That's not even accounting the draft capital we'd have to spend and the shenanigans we'd have to pull to be cap compliant.
