  1. Least horrible injury in the circumstance.
  2. Sad but true! Josh really did look quite athletic going for it too
  3. Top 10 defense, but barely cracking the Top 10. Doesn't mean they suck! But nope, they are not the fearsome stoppers that make opposing teams tremble. And as mentioned by many, pass rush was non existent yesterday. Which begs the question: why didn't McD and Frazier adjust and blitzed more?
  4. This poll has opened my eyes to media & social media in general. Again it seems almost half the posts are negative, even in this thread, media are negative, and blablabla. Yet the poll shows over 80% of us see him as THE guy - and I'm one of them. And that those that see him as a bust are a super tiny minority. Loudmouths really get more attention than they deserve. BTW it doesn't mean Josh is free of our criticism and that he doesn't have a lot of things to improve! But so many idiots don't get the difference between intelligent discussion and criticism with plain bashing and cheap negativity.
  5. I agree yet I still voted #1 with all the options. And believe he could very well be "the franchise". And I'm so glad that with all the vocal doom'n'gloom types posting here that over 80% feels the same. Goes to show loud posters don't necessarily speak for the majority!
  6. What's he supposed to do? His surrounding cast is REALLY bad. If he acts like that when he is surrounded with talent, THEN critique him. Apart from a few runs, he starts going because he has to, or the defense is giving him 1st down yards. The few times he had time to throw he usually was pretty damn good. RBs had no lanes either. Not a coincidence when our OLine is by far the least paid in the league. I don't get the media and their love for Lamar Jackson. The dude ran 27 times. As a QB! While we know his WR corp is quite improved and Flacco was having success. Not the same as the Bills here and what Josh has to play with. But few will mention Allen running for 100 yards 3 games in a row. Or, as some of you Bills fans, say he is trying to do too much, gets out too quickly, etc. While Jackson is a new breed and Flacco's days are numbered. SMH. Josh HAS to play hero ball. Hopefully, he doesn't have to by next year. And it's good he's getting all this out of a system now.
  7. Clearly a penalty. Come on! WTH was that? The refs thought it was Hughes or something? I too had serious doubt of McD when he sent Hauschka for a 54 yarder when he didn't even try to make real kick offs...
  8. What? Not on the team that's for sure. You saw Ivory and Murphy light it up today? Next year they better get two good linemen through FA and at least one great speedy WR. Everytime Allen had time today, which was rare, he threw on target. One or two good runs all day besides by Josh. Our OL is weak, and their pay reflects that. I'd say it's priority #1.
  9. 4-9. It was a tanking year, remember? Perfect so far ? Except for the 23rd when I want a victory, it is kind of a new experience of being emotionally involved in games, but mostly in players and seeing progress. I care not about W or L. I'm not used it and certainly don't want that next year
  10. Well all the injuries were bad, but this was the worse. I actually liked Allen threw his "rookie type" INT (the first one in the game). I'd rather he makes these now than next year. Actually I am surprised he made so few of these. Second one he tried and Jones didn't help him out.
  11. Last two posts by the eternal Allen haters. So ridiculous. I'd pick Josh over Darnold and Rosen any time. Mayfield was taken first and he is by far the better one so far. But anyone that says he "knows" for sure how these QBs will look 4-5 years from now are full of it. "It" not being a positive quality.
  12. He has improved a lot this year since his disastrous last year, but it was still not that good. And yeah today he totally sucked. I wasn't even surprised last INT was thrown in his direction. If it's one bad game, it happens. But he hasn't built enough confidence in him yet to have too many of those.
  13. And I agree. As for those mentioning Gronk on others, yeah they got off way too light. Doesn't mean Hughes can go and threaten officials, all caught o camera no less. The league let him off easy as the targeted ref is not exactly behaving as he should. We all agree he's getting shafted and it's a shame. I understand refs are humans and him getting "near-calls" not going his way, but he is held so much it goes way beyond normal payback straight into blatant bad officiating. Refs can't be THAT petty and get away with it! They should be held accountable way more. I still recall Hughes getting a 15 yard unsportmanslike penalty for "roughing" up... another Bills player in celebration.
  14. Yes indeed. Of course some good OLinemen and a couple of deep threat receivers are needed for this but this would be ideal,- and who knows that could already happen by next year. I don't see Allen becoming a touch passer that throws in tight windows with anticipation. I mean yes he will at times but that will never be his strength. But his insane arm strength, courage and pocket awareness, and running abilities, that is quite the package. He'll never have the style of Drew Brees or Brady so? He has other strengths, other tools to be build around. He is special. I agree. But I mean in the first scripted 15 plays. Do you feel they really take advantage of other teams's tendencies? That later in the game they prepare a big play with the previous ones and according to the opposing defensive players habits? They do of course. For example DiMarco's big catch is such an example. I just feel BB or Reid for example are much better at it. Anyway, I like how everything seems to be coming together except on special teams. You sense this is a team that can leave the basement and go to the top as early as next year and might become a true contender in under 5 years with some good roster decisions.
  15. I still feel Daboll and McD are often winging it more than structured coaches. Still, from the get go, I liked that Daboll adjusts to his personal, not trying to fit them into his coaching stubborn philosophy like too many coaches out there. And he had to learn about the players more than other 1st year coaches as a lot of them are rookies or inexperienced. He has become better and better over the year. To the point that you feel this year (for it being a 4-8 year so far!) is really positive. In an ideal world I'd like Shady, Kyle and Lorax to be back next year to provide their leadership and enjoy the resurgence, but the the rest of the group will be there, most likely better from experience, and now they've got money to build a real roster for Daboll and co to play with. Allen is for real. So are Milano-Edmunds-White. The future seems so damn positive. The most in years and years. I've rarely felt this good and again, they are only 4-8 up to now! Crazy. Well, us fans often live on hope but this time it seems so real. If they dratf well in the next two years the Bills could be back to domination mode for 5-10 years!
  16. Well, that the Ringer is "legit" or not, I agree with the article. Very deceptive speed. I'm as surprised as anybody - and I like it! Allen has brought zest and fun back to watching the offense. And it started his very first throw of preseason! When have so many of us been so excited to watch a second half of a 1st preseason game? And it has gone on since. Seems to me Daboll and him are really starting to get a thing going.
  17. My view is a combo of you two. It IS a bridge deal, but a damn harsh one for the team. And I'm glad as I certainly dislike the team and their coach ha ha. Most of the cap and money damage was for this year so in that sense it is a a bridge deal. But they paid quite a lot for what they got. A lot. Bortles won the lottery. That being said, the little I watched last night, that included that 99 yard run (yes!), the other QB seemed way better than Bortles but the playcalling is so atrociously predictable and conservative. And Marrone has clearly lost control of his players, unlike McD. Still I hope he keeps his job and continues the tire fire over there.
  18. Start watching some games. Not only "the same old Bills" have major breakdowns, bad coaching, suspect reffing, bad luck, ***** defeat out of the jaws of victory, implode and on and on. I don't get this pitiful negative outlook by some fans. Well, in fact, I understand it's been quite a while as fans we support a losing cause but what happened in 2014 or 2003 has nothing to do with today. New management, new coaches, new players. I watched this sequence live. It took like 7 plays inside the 10 to finally get stopped at the one. And then, that run. Damn LOL I was really laughing at this arrogant team and coach getting this. Their other QB looked better than Bortles yet what a mega conservative playcalling on offense. Unbearable.
  19. I wasn't surprised by the timing, at all. I mean how many times have we seen KB simply jogging without a care out there? But I became surprised when I realized by the article all his money is guaranteed. He's still to be paid about 2.1 millions to be on vacation! BTW I thought it was a nice gamble by the Bills brass. It made sense. KB is to blame. Big time. Hell, he showed zero motivation in his contract year! No one can expect that. Who will hire his guy if it's not at vet minimum?
  20. You never stop do you. You turn what was a fun thread with the comical replies to your usual gibberish. #allsituationsareexactlythesame #nuancessuck Just saw you post this on another thread and couldn't believe it. Yeah you were totally right and I agree with that post on that thread, but consider applying it to yourself concerning these kind of issues "You see, this is what's frustrating about reading your posts. You're qualifying other posts as something they're not to make a point that has no value."
  21. Well good for him if he has the opportunity but I sense he is finally getting the pulse of the roster AND adjusting to it just fine. BTW I loved his face plant flop at the end of the game! Ric Flair would have been proud. It showed real passion for sure.
  22. I can't believe this late in the season some of you guys want to argue YOUR pick would have Rosen or X Y Z. You know you can't change the past, right? And Allen is the Bills QB. Our guy, the leader. The young buck any Bills fan sure hopes becomes THE elite QB the fans and team have been hoping for. I can understand criticism but this is ridiculous. Are you fan or you want to show how y u'd be a better GM than Beane to stroke your ego?
  23. I think the Dolphins were surprised at Allen's speed. And so was I! Alonso looked like a slow guy out there, and he wasn't the only one Me neither but the comments on this thread ARE valid ha ha
  24. National media cream their pants because Lamar Jackson runs 27 times for 130+ yards. Josh does the same in not even half the runs as he's playing QB not QB-RB combo, and you know, crickets. Ravens are in the playoff run but still, ridiculous. Actually, yes we did!
  25. A lot of posters said the same thing about Tyrod, and he too got his painful hits as a passer, not a runner. Josh is indeed an amazing dual threat. If in the coming years the OLine is upgraded and there are good speedy receivers, the long pass will be a common theme and that will leave lots of room for his running too! BTW who expected an upgraded as runner from Josh after Tyrod? Kid is just of wonderful surprises.
