  1. What I don't get, is for all the Gurley-Goff-receivers talk, their offensive line was as dominant as you can get. Sure BB can scheme as good or better than anyone, but how come the Rams OLine couldn' make holes for the run or pass protect better? Schemes help, a lot, but still, that's a head scratcher. The Pat's D Line suddenly became one of the best during the playoffs. And who else was screaming at the TV at the end of the first half? Why didn't McVay use his two timeouts? The Pats* were at their own 2 yard line. Brady took a knee so was now at the 1. With 2 timeouts, it meant 2 more plays from the one! A safety was really possible as even kneel downs become problematic frm the one yard line. And it was only 3-0 at that point. I didn't hear commentator mention that then nor since.
  2. When you're in a place or festival or show with no waits at the pit stop and a place to wash your hands, you feel like you just came out of an uncivilized barbarian land you had lived all your life before. By ourselves with manage, adapt, conquer. But add young kids to the equation and all the nasty stuff really annoys on another level
  3. Tyrod was mostly all class, but not all the time, and his pulling of the race card DID leave a bad taste. Especially since I feel the NFL and the media have a positive bias towards Black QBs, not a negative one! Look at how they gush at Lamar Jackson, like they did for RG3, Vick and so many that got the cover of mags and video games... He couldn't dislodge Flacco yet Jackson just did (with the same HC), couldn't last here and was ousted in Cleveland, without a doubt about who is #1 there. For a running QB, Josh just outdid him in 10 games. And on and on. That being said, he is a real "bridge QB" that could start for about 8-10 of the 32 teams. In any case, he had a real chance in Buffalo, took it and sure made serious $$$$ for his production. I suspect he wasn't the brightest bulb and that's why he couldn't progress in his reads after years of experience and why coaches never connected with him.
  4. FRAT. Not reading all of it! But this is so spot on: "But the urinal trough? The apparatus is a large, communal urinal that offers an egalitarian, and highly efficient, method of elimination while forcing men to pee like cattle -- shoulder-to-shoulder, with zero privacy, and often while facing each other's junk. Few things evoke our deep, strange, love-hate relationship with stadium bathrooms like the urinal trough" Those were nasty. I'm glad they're mostly all gone. Yeah I suspect a meatgazer was the designer for that thing.
  5. Even in a semi-serious fun contest, most people will criticize and complain LOL If it happens I'll watch it for sure. If it doesn't, it just doesn't. But yeah they need to add some targets and stuff to make it more fun, and to make it last more than 5 minutes.
  6. I'll be rooting for him I agree... though they did contribute to Incognito's breakdown. Contribute, not create it nor are they the main culprit, Richie is. But to this day I don't get the salary cut to a guy that was THE money player in the run game. If you can't tell they missed him big time this year, I don't know what game you are watching. Ask Shady.
  7. YESSSSSSS I was happy to see Tom say it, and even more so that so many other Bills fans think the same. I want an Allen led Bills team to win against the Brady-BB combo before Father Time takes them out or they retire. It won't make up for all the losses but still, a sweet way to put a bandaid on the huge gash. Grow a pair some of you fans LOL It's NOT two automatic losses!
  8. I too applaud applaud this and can't grasp the negativity! This is AWESOME news. As for every driven person, especially young ones, Josh must not burn himself out, whether his arm or mentally, but besides that, great news. Even more so with McD communicating with Palmer!
  9. I hate the Patriots as certainly most of us on here (doh!), but the review was clear to me. Edelman didn't touch the ball. Yes in one angle it seems to graze his thumb but in another one you can see it clearly does not. By combining the two angles it was clear evidence.
  10. NO! I want the Allen led Bills to be a force and beat the Bellichick-Brady led Cheats 2 (or 3...) times a year BEFORE Father Time does it and or they just retire. Not greedy, just the next 2-3 years then they can retire
  11. Exactly! Defenses and special teams are part of the team too. No wonder the Patriots captains yelled "WE WANT THE BALL" with the Chiefs' mix of awesome offense and horrible defense
  12. It was so awfully obvious that a player could have told him or someone on the sideline yell at him. It cost them a trip to the Superbowl. Cheatriots play well, awesome coaching TBH, but again a huge mistake by the opponents gift them a win. Crazy!
  13. Not AS critical, but there are a LOT of holes to fill, and that will take quite a few loaded contracts. Just like the Bills were in cap hell in 2018 and will be in cap heaven in 2019, it can also quickly switch the other way around.
  14. I don't think anyone is saying having Star or some good DT is a bad thing! Just that in a salary cap sport, overpaying for a player is not a good deal for the team overall.
  15. YESSSSS Though this year, seems to me Brady has become a (super) manager type QB. It's actually the supporting cast, certainly including the superior coaching and schemes, that does the grunt of the winning.
  16. It says in the story "Incognito was so freaked out when he learned about the post on Feb. 22, he hopped in a car with his dad, brother and dog and drove north from Scottsdale, Arizona, for two hours to meet an FBI agent at a safe house" Didn't I read on here of Richie losing his mind at his father's funeral last offseason? Or do I need to get checked in as well? Edit: Ha! I now realize it was on Feb 22, so before his dad died. How come it only makes the news now?
  17. I want him to play and lose. Like I want the Allen led Bills to beat them twice a year... before Father Time does it, which is coming soon. I'd really prefer the Bills to be beat a "full on Brady-Belichick" team then a diminished one. You want to hear the damn excuses? I respect Brady and co. Just think Belichick, for all his HUGE talent, is a serious cheater. See the stats in the playoffs? 20-3 at home, 3-4 on the road. Or this year, 3-5 on the road. Is it that they cannot pick signals or spy as well? Their crowd is not that noisy or such a factor.
  18. Don't see the difference? They are MEN not teens or boys. His momma is a lawyer wasn't she? And the NFL, while certainly not fully transparent by any means, is still quite a public place with a spotlight on it 80% of the times, including most practices, journalists in the locker room, etc. And you can actually request a trade and still work in the NFL, at your craft. Unlike in most work places or schools. Big differences to me indeed. The main question here if this story is true: how come we know this, and how come RI knows this?
  19. Did Castillo had an assistant? He was never mentioned if he does exist.
  20. Foles has seemed weak at times, but he also has played great last year and WON A SUPERBOWL, what you ask of a QB! In 2013 he was awesome: 27 TDs to only 2 INTs, 119.2 rating. Those are AMAZING stats! So to say Wentz has proven himself while not Foles is disingenuous. He won the big one and had a year of dominance even if 5 years ago. BTW I too would pick Wentz, but it's not as easy as a choice as some of guys make it out to be. One thing is sure: Foles can't get no respect LOL Yes he is a form of Flacco to me. But superior game managers like him are precious, and he has been clutch too. A good fit for many teams.
  21. I actually didn't know there was a position of ASSISTANT OLine coach. I thought too they would go for Dave DeGuglielmo, and maybe they did try. How come the Colts let him go after such good results? Just because he's not one of the coach's hires? Wow.
  22. Being a top contender might take more years, but turning a 6-10 to a 10-6 season can be as soon as NEXT YEAR. Good additions to the OLine and receiver corp, a few lucky bounces, no major injury bug, better play calling, more experience for Allen& Daboll, etc. All possible, and realistic too. This weekend we've also seen GREAT coaching. Sad to say, but Billichick rules them all. Brady has become a super manager QB. He does so little but audibles, reads well, makes few mistakes, is very alert, but overall lots of little passes, sweeps, checkdowns, he hasn't to be Mr Hero. Bill is a damn genius in all phases. The Cheats have next to no weaknesses but not much in superstars defensive & offensive players like in the other playoff teams, yet they keep winning. Contrary to some on here, I'm not in the fire everyone crowd ha ha. And realize McD was only a 2nd year guy, but he'll need to get better for sure as well, not just the players.
  23. Yeah reading through the thread I'm now totally on the side that there enough holidays already. Simpler way is the Saturday option or start earlier. I have my kids on that weekend but have to bring them back to the ex, school and all the next morning, etc. The SB finishes around 10PM. Add the driving etc. They won't be in bed till 11PM. Just start the damn match earlier! What's the point anyway? Ratings are that much higher later in the day? BTW I'd split the two conference matches: one on Saturday, the other on Sunday. Football is intense. 7+ hours of football in a day is too much unless you like the life of a couch potato.
  24. That rookie QB is quite good. And Shady maybe is near as good as he was, we don't know, we couldn't tell! So of course the Bills need better players across the board, especially on offense. But a better OLine makes everyone look better and gives Daboll more plays too.
  25. While I think I'm quite clear the OLine matters a LOT or I would not have started this thread, it's like for any other positions: all 32 teams are vying for top guys. They are not lined up in a shelf somewhere just ready to be signed. Some teams are already settled in that area, some have no cap space, etc. So in that sense the Bills are poised to get some, as Beane as publicly said it is the priority this offseason, and finally the Bills have cap space to play with. But for all his good intentions, it could happen that Beane doesn't sign much big names on the OLine nor draft anyone good. They have to be available and sign here instead of with another team! Hopefully, he can solve this issue as what a difference it would make! I've said this in another thread but Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (RG) of the Chiefs could be available for a trade. He has missed close to 10 games with a broken leg. He could have played yesterday but he didn't. He's paid 8M per season and obviously his much cheaper replacement has been doing the job. He'd be much closer to home playing with the Bills and has so many side projects that it could matter.
