  1. Nope. Thanks for proving my point ha ha Recall how bad he played that first game after signing his HUGE contract? Same thing.
  2. Nope. Josh needs to have FUN to perform at his best. There's no "growing up" in ball security. Just part of playing football. Taking the fun out of his playing would hurt, not help.
  3. I'm not currently like that at all, but watching other NFL games, and remembering many of the recnent dark years, post JA17 might be dull, real dull. So I'm enjoying it now
  4. That us fans have fun or not is our own choice. Some obviously choose misery ha ha. But for the BILLS to succeed, JOSH needs to have fun. He plays way better when loose. For good or bad, he is a big kid. Tense Josh doesn't cut it. Playground Josh wins games. And I'm... serious. Coaches have to find a way to have him focused, serious, etc. while letting him be relaxed at the same time. IDK how Daboll could chew it up openly yet let him play like a kid, but he did it. Maybe it was other players who could help him chill. IDK but they need to get back to that.
  5. What? Great coaches design plays according to their players. Josh has strengths and weaknesses. Just like offense over all. You design Xs and Os according to your players.
  6. So many factors but overall, Josh had a bad game, a real bad game. It happens. Yes, last year he had lots of turnovers, and again this first game, so it is worrisome. But hero ball Josh is part of his make up. Mostly for good, sometimes for bad. He needs to channel this better but it will never go away. Hopefully, this game wakes him up just a bit. I mean, Wilson was bad, only threw super short passes and looked like a rookie, not a first rounder in year 3 that played already. Yet he had only one INT and the Jets won. TEAM game, even if Josh is a magical player at times.
  7. Wilson has gone the deep end, and IDK why. But I'll disagree that he was just average. I recall him having the lowest paid - by far! - OL in the league "protecting" him in Seattle, running for his life on so many plays, yet still getting the job done. Anyway, the Broncos are in the AFC, so they can tank all they want, except when they play against Bills adversaries for the playoff spots.
  8. Not to be a prick... but how come the LIONS got that opening game?
  9. They guy is VERY good. But only QBs impact the game in a way that justifies this amount. Even him, Watt and Donald don't have as much impact as a Mahomes or Allen. Well, not our problem
  10. It's really hard to help an adult that doesn't want it. But if the NFL does indeed have a support system, they should be warned by now. If we know, they know for sure. Not to mention ex teammates, some of whom might have had similar issues after retiring.
  11. That was funny
  12. I actually liked the Bills have given out so few long pass plays since McD has been here. Last year there were a few because Hyde was out, so Hyde & Poyer have a say in this too. But as if giving a "few" easy TDs per game was minor stuff. Like, what? Yes, if the opposing offense has to 12 plays, there is more chance for mistakes, turnovers, etc. It was just playing soft at bad times that caused the problems. Not the overall style of defense IMO.
  13. They can kill it with these kind of plays, using Harty and Cook. Quick passes and little outs/sweeps like this really demoralize opposing DLines, and help the OLine big time. Then when you run it down the gut it's not as obvious and OLine love those plays. For a few deep throws, use max protection. Just adding all these to what they were doing last year and this is the NFL #1 offense! Of course. But when you mix that with many of these little outs and sweeps, it makes when he goes deep harder to defend. Diggs, Davis and Harty are all serious threats to go deep. Doresy can put in many deep options while not tiring them out. This offense can be a nightmare for opposing defenses!
  14. That's insane. Even more so considering what happened to the 49ers last year
  15. As others have mentioned, with the new PS rules and Shorter injuries, he could play to begin the season, and showcase himself at the very least. Also I wonder what's the salary for PS. Is it fixed by the league or are some players paid more?
  16. If he can't play, Bean has to find another QB quick. And if he really can't play all year, maybe have him work as assistant QB coach!
  17. He looked like... a backup QB. Let's just say we want JA17 to be the incarnation of great health all year long. But don't expect backup QBs to all be the level of "Tom Brady replacing Drew Bledsoe"... Yes I credited Dorsey and I loved what I was seeing. Even Diggs doing underneath routes. Talk about defenses not knowing what will come at them next! Quick passes, sweeps, runs... they can wear and demoralize defenses, while keeping some big plays anytime they want - just use more protection then. I hope that first drive is the style that remains. OLine will look much better too, as these quick plays help them, as an OC should do. That's what the Bengals did.
  18. Well, I've got to give credit to DAZN for never charging me out of the blue. I freeze my subscription all non-football months. I'm starting it again on the opening day, and I never had any issues.
  19. Brady was famous for that, in NE and Tampa. The first 2-3 quarters, almost all super quick stuff except for an occasional surprise )and use max protection then). Once the opposing D Line is tired and mostly, demoralized as their efforts feel wasted, now throw the long balls.
  20. Doubling down? Ha ha Sure , it didn't look so good he fell on his butt. But he made the block! He did.
  21. I noticed that too and wondered the same. In the same video, McGovern looked good too!
  22. Expect that after any lackluster game. Last year, before the Bengals fiasco, the Bills only lost 3 games, all by a small margin too, no blowouts at all. Yet it seemed all doom and gloom at times here ha ha. But it was true there were many worrying signs. Though there is a difference and middle ground between avoiding issues with rose colored glasses, and screaming "the sky is falling" every second.
  23. Yes, Josh needs to do a better job at that. He is not perfect. But the Bills O was Top5 last year. And has the tools to be #1. Over the years he has worked on his feet positioning when throwing to gain accuracy, it worked. Then improving in the middle routes, it worked. If he has better timing for quick throws, it would indeed be a great improvement, for sure. But he is ALREADY elite and can help a team win a SuperBowl. Like, "current Josh". But he can improve. We all can. The point is we can criticize, and we will all do ha ha, but there is a way to do it. Some (not pointing you out here) are just negative Nancys, and point all the faults, real or imagined, all the time. As if perfection was the only acceptable standard.
  24. Yes, on THAT play, it is accurate. The out was there all along, and it was Diggs too. But while at it, prove Josh does that all the time. It's always the team's own fans that sees all these mistakes, thinking the players should be perfect, and comparing to other teams' HIGHLIGHTS. As far as I know, even Brady, Brees, Peyton, in their best years, had some INTs, and didn't have over 75% complete rates!
