  1. The most important point is this: can they put on commercials during the review process. That's the #1 benefit of the current system.... for the league. and TV stations. And let's be fair, the current system works for the most part. The controversial calls are the non reviewable ones.
  2. I'm sure he will get another shot at the NFL. He's not been convicted, he had his run with the "justice system", so why would you ban him for life? I get why the Bills didn't want the relentless media attention for a rookie, and noticed they released him without saying he was guilty and all that. They did it the right way (unless they knew of the story before dratfing him).
  3. 2. the game had little flags, and the head referee wasn't the one who threw that controversial one at the end 3. tons of artists would "play for free" for that exposure and crazy one-time unique stage/setting. But yes it was boring ha ha "In Carl Cheffer's last 6 games as a referee in Chiefs games, the Chiefs are 1-5 against the spread. The probability of that occurring is 9%." I don't think the NFL wanted to rig the game in front of 100 millions. That call was controversial for sure though.
  4. It's really hard for players to switch from 4-3 to 3-4. But with Miller, 4-3. Otherwise, in theory, I'd have preferred Klein in there with Edmunds and Milano than the banged up DLine.
  5. Yes. And the BiIls need another WR1, only "man island" defensive backs, linebackers that will replace Edmunds for 10% of the cost, and so on. Thank you. Now we won't post till Septembre 2023. We wouldn't want to disturb you. Nope, the point is that better schemes take ZERO new players. It can be done... NOW. As for the Oline, yeah we all pretty much agree it's the priority, and the Superbowl showed it. But I also thought our DBs were so much better. And Diggs beat any WR in that SB. Fans only see their team's weak points, as if other teams don't have any! But we can't have coaches continue to lose games....
  6. Ha ha. The projection. As if I cared. It's about giving credit where it's due. If you read my posts, I have written time and time again Hurts plays well. But for all the Superbowl QB sneaks and all 3 rush TDs, a bad runner like Peytion Manning could have done them too. The OLine was that good..
  7. The crazy part to me, is that the offensive schemes seemed more creative in the first 5 games. Quintin Morris and Gilliam had easy TD catches, being wide open. Until the Beasley TD that was a designed bubble screen, it's like Dorsey went vanilla. Look at how simple presnap movements got the Chiefs two gimme TDs against the Eagles! At least try some! The Eagles OLine is crazy good but that's way harder to fix. Schemes can be fixed... NOW.
  8. Nope. But in this game, in the Superbowl? Yes it was almost all the offensive line. Not for his throws, but for the rush TDs, and sneaks. Please point out a great rush Hurts did? Mahomes did the long one at the end of the game, as an example. Of course Hurts is a great runner, but this Superbowl the OLine made it happen. Not the same for Lamar or Josh or Fields for example. As for give Josh weapons, sorry but when it comes to WRs and Knox, he sure has some. I'm not saying for the Bills it's all Josh! But if you can't see how a OLine like the Eagles are such a powerful tool, I don't know what else to say. Just like some basic movements at the line for the offense, using Kelce to draw defenders, accounted for 2 nearly automatic TDs for the Chiefs. No need for any different players here! Diggs is the man, and Knox more than good enough at the goal line to do the same. I recall the backend TE and FB catching TDs in the first 2022 games for the Bills. What happened to those schemes in the last 10 games? Add Beasley and wow. Basically, a better OLine and schemes, and no wonder Vegas odd makers still see the Bills as serious SB contenders.
  9. I've been so sick of the lack of credit for the Eagles OLine Did Hurst play very well besides his awful fumble? Yes, he did. But to hear so called "experts" credit him for the 3 rush TDs, all those QB sneaks (did you know he squatted 600 pounds??) I mean, come on! That first rush TD ALL the OLinemen were 2-3 yards deep in the endzone. Same for many sneak plays. I sincerely don't recall that happening for the Bills in years. Plus Hurst had tons of time to throw as well. The OLine was so dominant it was just insane thinkin how Josh would look.
  10. I do understand the Bills finally being deflated with all they went through and all that, but... that's why slogans are for. "Find a way" was the one this year. Plus it was for Hamlin. I mean, zombie walk through the week if burned out, but be fiery on game day!
  11. All teams have depth issues because of the salary cap. DLine had tons of injuries this year. Even most of the guys playing weren't 100%. Look at the Rams go from winning a SB to being a loser team. Lost their QB, top receivers and on and on to injury. 49ers were stacked with having 3 good QBs... and it wasn't enough in the end as they went all the way to the 4th in the conference finals... who got injured too! Josh can never get injured for more than 2-3 games, and certainly not in the playoffs.
  12. The overall odds for all NFL teams will change according to trades, losing or getting free agents, the draft, etc. But yeah, the Bills are far from done.
  13. Of coure for the same money, a top OL, be it a guard or tackle, is better. But it seems year after year, most of this board value draft picks so much. Do you realize very few draftees make it a starters, let alone as backups? A 3rd+ round LB pick is a crap shoot. For one Milano there must be 2-3-4 that are not even in the league a short time later. So yeah, you draft one, but it's no guarantee. Beane has not drafted well but I like his approach of signing backups stuck behind elite starters. At least they have proven they belong in the league. But yeah, time for an OLine signing on the level of the Diggs one!
  14. It sure looks it but I can't figure out why! He played awfully good with maybe the worst OL a few years ago. And he had been consistent in his production till last year, Easy to play Monday Morning QB but most "experts" predicted the Broncos would be legit contenders to win the AFC when they took Wilson!
  15. Incognito and Shady were MONEY for the Bills, And it was also Roman's great run schemes (and awful pass schemes). I'd much rather have what we have now... while improving the run game of course. Not a tall task with better overall offensive schemes and 1 or 2 great additions to the Oline.
  16. As a fan I would have watched it with Josh there. Plus he meets other top players, and of course he's there with some teammates, to lower the sting of the sour ending. That's what I read at first. A backup QB with just a few games? WTH is that?
  17. I fully agree on the first one. And AT LAST this year 3rd and one (or 4th) could be converted with a run up the gut instead of having to be creatove each time. But Josh had a lot of crazy long lasting pockets in the last years that weren't there this year.
  18. Exactly. Our coaches are good but not elite. Well they are in many aspects - leadership, focus, getting guys committed and being professional while not micromanaged, etc. - but not for scheming and play calling. BTW I find ALL the 4 remaining teams were very well coached in that sense. I'd even put the Bengals as best coached. Bills are just too predictable on both sides of the ball. Josh IS elite, so is Diggs. The talent level is high enough for a Superbowl with just a few better plays, linemen, etc. It's not like they are second tier. But we can all see scheming is lacking to take full advantage. On offense a tad more disguise, slants, screens, etc. and it's crazy elite. It's hair pulling as it seems so easy to improve, yet they don't do it. On defense, it might be hard to go from "bend but don't break" to press coverage. The Bills scheme would work much better if the DLine put some pressure... I know Miller was there for the first half and at the start of the season, DLines have an edge over OLines at the start of the season, but damn did the Bills Dline wreak havoc the first few weeks. THAT was the aspct that made me think SUPERBOWL. I don't know how it went from that to getting pushed around by backups in the Bengals game.
  19. I couldn't agree more. Imagine Josh with a tad more time when passing, the running game with more opened lanes... this same offense is a juggernaut. Oh, add effective schemes. Sorry, but Dorsey was so vanilla it was insane the offense worked as good as it did. But to me, yeah, more effective play designs and 2 very good/great OLinemen added and the same team is unstoppable. Easier to do that than to say we need this, this, that, this. As if all these awesome players were just available and as if the Bills had the cap space to do it anyway. Not one single team has zero weaknesses!
  20. I can't stand the "surround Josh with weapons" mantra. Besides the OLine, the Bills have way than enough talent. As if other teams were loaded everywhere! Look at the Chiefs, they lost Hill but not a step. The Bills' offensive SCHEMES were bad all year. At first, I was good with hiring Dorsey as OC and also was willing to give him time. But that bad scheming is not experience lacking, he just doesn't have it. The offense is so vanilla. Was it Burrows and Chase that whooped the Bills? No, it was the great schemes they used. They somehow had WRs mismatched all game, including Chase all alone for his TD.
  21. Nope. BTW I was thinking earlier of what the Giants did when they drafted Barkley. They invested a lot of money in their OL, drafted him, and figured Eli would do the job with this extra help. It didn't work, at all. Yet it really made sense. Plans don't always work out. Though we ALL know with a better OLine, Josh would kill defenses, and Davis would suddenly look like a #2 receiver, while Knox' numbers would go way up. Yet the Giants show even if you throw money at the OLine, there are no guarantees. I do like to odds though! It's sure is worth the try.
  22. As mush as it frustrates some of you, the "bend but don't break" style of defense has worked for the most part. But that Bengals game, just wow. Chase all alone(!) for a TD. WRs often matched with LBs. It's the worst case of "having being figured out'" I've ever seen. Burrows and Chase didn't even have to do anything special. Their schemes and OLine did it all. Frazier pissed me off to no end by not adjusting. Look, we basically all thought the Bills front four would pressure Burrows against a banged up Bengals OLine, that isn't that good to begin with. Well once you realize they're getting manhandled, do something! Blitz. Bring Klein from time to time. Nope. Just that expressionless serious face while the Dline gets pushed around like juniors. As for Dorsey, seeing so many good offensive play designs by all playoff teams, it just shows how vanilla the Bills offense has been. WTH. First year as OC or not, how can that even be? This isn't on the fly playcalling and adjusting, it's work and preparation through the week and season. No excuse for that, none. And for all the Diva outbursts, Diggs is RIGHT. Remember his amazing route running at the goal line, or for quick outs and back shoulder throws? Where were they these last weeks? It's not HIS fault. He's always delivered when called upon. Another case of coaches outsmarting themselves. Fire them both. Find new OC and DC. And as for the HC, all this comes back to him. And his language of "not figuring out what the Bengals were doing". Instead of adjusting to them, bring it to them! So disappointed in the coaches. If not only the fans but the players lose confidence in the leadership, it will be ugly.
  23. Can someone point out one game his schemes were a main factor in a win? In the first weeks, maybe. Daboll was strangely stubborn in not having more run plays (and sweeps), but he was creative, could direct Josh's energy. Put some wrinkles here and there. I was all for giving Dorsey a chance, and for being somehow patient as it's his first year, but his offensive plays have been so vanilla, what would it be without Josh? And how can a cold weather team be outsmarted when it comes to a slippery field? 2 of their 3 first plays were side to side instead of north-south! The Bengals schemes got their receivers open many times yesterday, and often had WRs matched with the Bills LBs. Just looking at other teams, they have 3-5 plays a game that the schemes deliver a 1st down. Dorsey got more vanilla as the season went! Sorry, but I don't see improvements coming.
  24. Not only pas rush! They couldn't stop the run. They were psuhed around like juniors. DLine and coaches are why the Bills got blown out yesterday.
