  1. I didn't bake a cake. Somebody fetch me a twinky and a candle at 7-11.
  2. LOL oops. Wrong guy. Yes, Griffen, the DE for MIN. Announced already?
  3. I know he's too old, but too old isn't the same number for everybody and he's still on top of his game well past 30. 2 years, max. Maybe 1. I think he's not resigning with the Vikes because they only want to pay him for 1. Front-load a 2 yr deal so it doesn't hurt if he goes south in 2021and we release him. I doubt it though. He's still playing at a probowl level. He says he feels great. I'd take a chance given that he has yet to drop his level of play significantly and he's at a position of real need and high impact. I know he's not from Carolina, but neither was Diggs. Sound crazy?
  4. And this year I'm hoping Josh Norman is rejuvinated. We need CB's! He was given a chance and didn't impress. I hope we can sign a decent CB before the draft if there any out there. Outside and slot both need help. T Johnson is average and both Wallace and Norman have been much the same lately. Is Wallace signed?
  5. This is now our biggest problem area followed by CB and DE.
  6. We need at least 2 major upgrades on the OL. RT is a liability and so is RG. Morse is above average, but he's alone in that regard. I sincerely hope this is not the OL group we'll be using this season. If we're going to get an elite RT, we'll have to trade for him or get really lucky in the draft. Thuney and Scherff are still available at G, I believe.
  7. Sure, if they recognise the mistake like they made with Lotulelei and Kelvin Benjaman and make the necessary moves to fix it. Josh Allen is an outstanding athlete. He's just not a great QB. I'd still give him another season and see if he's any better. If he doesn't start throwing any better by then, I'd trade him for whatever I could get. I'd definitely try to keep this coaching staff together. Still not sure about Beane -- Still waiting for one of his 1st rounders to start playing like one.
  8. There's no question that our OL needs a lot of work still, but ultimately this is Allen's team and he will largely determine or success or failure.
  9. I would, if the price is right.
  10. Trent Murphy upped his game a little bit last year, but he's still pretty average. He'll do in a pinch, but he's not much help to the pass rush and Hughes isn't getting any younger. Clowney is very disruptive when healthy. Maybe offer Clowney a 2 year deal to lure him away? None of the players we've signed in FA are anything more than backups. Only Diggs will have an impact from these new arrivals.
  11. Bucaneers will be very tough this year. You'll see what a difference he makes, even in his 40's. Bellechick is good, but no good QB's unless he can make a last minute bid for Tanny. Maybe he'll have to tank after all.
  12. I would still like to see the following positions addressed: TE, RT, RG, WR depth, LB, Edge, outside CB, slot CB. I am also assuming either Harry or Star will step up and Oliver, Allen and Ford likewise. Especially Oliver. I hope he takes huge strides in year 2. Greater success for Allen means greater success for Diggs. Better OL means less pressure on Allen to carry the team. Still time to beef up the ground game. L Miller would be a great choice to match up with Singletary and Taiwan Jones.
  13. Scherff and Clowney and Tannehill.
  14. For what it's worth, Diggs' 2 greatest strengths are his hands and his route running. He's as good as anyone in the NFL in those departments. No more excuses for Josh. This guy's gonna be open all over the field so he'd better not miss him. You can't keep the safeties back if you keep missing the long ball by a mile. Clearly the OL is now the biggest concern. We need 2 more steps up like we took last offseason when we went from one of the worst OL's ever to nearly average.I hope we go after OL and CB help on day 2 of the draft.
  15. Now for TE and RB. I'd be OK with OT in the 2nd or 3rd if there's value there. Gotta win in the trenches too.
  16. You'd make a former MVP back up a guy that can't hit 60% of hiss passes?
  17. Other than Diggs, none of these guys are very impressive. Mostly depth guys, but we'll see how they pan out. Poyer and Hughes didn't do squat before they came here. Maybe Beane has caught a couple sleepers. He's paying them well enough.
  18. Gimme some Everson Griffen! Also like the RB's we're targetting -- experienced and versatile.
  19. That's a fair point, but our OL was pretty average overall. I'd be all in favor of another, even bigger signing in the trenches. Unfortunately, there are no very good OT's available in this year's FA class and the top tier of rookie OT's is expected to be gone by the time we draft at 22.
  20. Jonathan Joseph would also be a good 1 or 2 year deal. He's not great, but he's still better than any CB on our roster except White. He and Norman can compete and draft a CB too. Our depth at CB is lacking. Hyde may be the closest thing to a power runner prototype some like. Me too, but I wonder how effective he'd be for us?
  21. Has anyone rumored the Bills to be interested in Scherff and Thuney so we can pound the rock and take some more of the load from JA's shoulders? I would also really love to see speedy Matt Breida at RB for us. I could see them splitting Breida out in a slot position once in a while they did with Spiller. If used correctly, he could really help us, as long as they're signing some serious OL and CB help to go with WR, LB, TE & DE. Ngakoue, Reader and Hooper or Henry at TE would be nice adds too. Henry is a good receiver and blocker. Hooper is a borderline elite receiving TE and would possibly be the best TE in franchise history. We've had precious few great TE's on the Bills over the last 60 years. Reuben Cant anyone? Jan White? Shaq Lawson is the very definition of 'average NFL DE'. I'd offer him the league average. Why was it only in a contract year that he got somewhat hot? He's had 4 years to prove himself, so unless McDermott thinks he will continue to improve even after 4 years like Jerry Hughes did, I wouldn't pay anything over the league average for DE.
  22. He's very pedestrian. Solid depth, though. He may have been better once, but m'eh. We need a couple big upgrades on the OL. Gimme Scherff and Thuney.
  23. Above 80 for McDermott and below 80 for Beane to this point. McDermott was a great hire. Beane needs to start drafting superstars in the 1st round.
  24. Not an especially powerful man for his massive size, but surprisingly agile. Quickly diagnoses plays and sheds blockers easily. Very solid overall.
