  1. Cam used to routinely take hits to the head, even while still in the pocket, and would not get flags. It was a real thing for a couple seasons back in the day. I do not like Cam, but that was a real issue for awhile and in my opinion it was a completely legitimate claim, at the time. I remember watching some games and being completely amazed that he was not getting flags. Defenders were completely teeing off on him. And I'm talking about passing plays, not him as a runner.
  2. Exactly right. What more can we ask of him? A lot of that stuff just comes with the territory of being a starting QB, be he is dodging free rushers on almost every single play. It's ridiculous. And with defenders in his face actively hitting him, fans say "well, he should have hit that open receiver or checked it down" like it's a simple thing. I'm fine with asking him to do a lot, but you have to protect him, at least.
  3. That's normal, though.
  4. This is a comically bad take.
  5. The Bills came into the game with the top scoring offense in the league. So why is it now impossible for their offense to be effective? People are acting like it is impossible for this team to recover from the Jags game.
  6. Well, that's where I think you are mistaken. In the NFL, there really aren't garbage teams. The difference between one team and the next is closer than you realize. The Jags are one of the worst teams in the league, but I was reminded that they still have professional athletes who can perform at a high level. Miles Jack is a quality player. Josh Allen (theirs) is a heck of a player too. Trevor Lawrence was a #1 overall draft pick. So, even though, relatively, they are not good compared to the NFL as a whole, they still have the athletes that can get it done from time to time. And if the opposing team comes out flat, no matter who it is, they can get beaten. There's no excuse from the Bills perspective. They should have won the game. They screwed up. But the Jags came out and performed well enough to beat the Bills. They exploited their strengths and our weaknesses to their advantage. Do I think they could do it again? Probably not. I think the Bills beat them 9 times out of 10.
  7. It wouldn't be such a necessity if the offensive line could block for him. But yeah, the more tools in his toolbox that he has, the better.
  8. Already angry by what you guess the coach has said? Not even by what he actually said. Wow.
  9. Allen has never been a QB that gets the ball out quickly. He extends the play and tries to allow for routes to develop. Sometimes it hurts you, but often times it helps you. He is never going to be a guy who consistently gets the ball out in 2 seconds. That's not who he is.
  10. Perhaps that's why the Packers are being fined so much. They failed to enforce the protocols with Rodgers (because they are scared of him).
  11. Exactly. His stats are miraculous given the horrible run blocking.
  12. How are they with 0.22 yards before contact? Are they able to teleport through defenders as soon as they touch the ball? That's what we need.
  13. After a tough loss many Bills fans retreat under the covers and cry for awhile, thinking the Bills will never win another game. All the drought and super bowl insecurities flood back. But in a couple weeks when the Bills have shown that they are still a good team, the perpetual naysayers will be forced back under their slimy rocks and everything will be fine again.
  14. He's an idiot if he goes to the Pats. That offense is one where you might get targeted a bunch one week, and then go three straight weeks without any. They've been like that for a long time. It's why you can't trust Patriots in fantasy football (or in anywhere else in life).
  15. Case closed. You filled in all the blanks. No need for even a trial now!
  16. Great player. We need to get him involved more. Him and Beasley are as reliable as you can get. Get those two the ball. Run what works. Luckily, we have a bunch of games ahead of us to get things right and get the offense clicking for the postseason.
  17. Still Brady. Maybe Jackson 2nd? I'm pretty sure you would lock any thread unless it is about how terrible the team is.
  18. Did you bump your head? Or is this an attempt at sarcasm?
  19. This is the type of game you just try to move on from. Let's hope Brown is back so they can kick Williams back inside and bench Ford for Ike. I'm done seeing anything more from Cody Ford. I get that he will probably have to play some in the future, but I hope he is a last resort from now on. Also, I'd be happy to see Bates get some snaps. I've always thought Bates was a quality olineman. I'd rather him play and develop than Ford. Looks like he had no clue the ball was snapped, maybe he had his eyes closed and didn't notice all of the defense starting to move. Or, he is playing badly on purpose because he is discontent and wants to be released? He had some really, really bad plays.
  20. Josh Allen is having a great season despite the offensive struggles.
  21. No matter what Allen has done, there will always be those who are quick to blame him for everything. A lot of people do that for QB's anyways, but it is compounded for Josh Allen for some reason. The QB does touch the ball on every offensive play, so he is the single biggest factor to wins and losses, in my opinion. I know everyone likes to throw around that "wins are not a QB stat" but I think that is an oversimplification. Of course QB's contribute tremendously to wins and losses. But it isn't all on them, and when your oline can't block, it makes everything infinitely more difficult for the QB to manage.
  22. We're not going to find any upgrades at this point. I know everyone is frustrated with the oline, but with the NFL wide olineman shortage, anyone worth a shot is on a roster.
  23. If you don't go for it on 4th down these days, you get crucified by fans, media, and everyone in-between. People spout "analytics" without even really knowing what they are talking about. I think you should kick field goals unless the circumstance requires you to go for it on 4th down or you have less than 2 yards to gain. That's a conservative mindset, but at this point I just want the points. Daboll does not call the game well in short yardage, red zone, and goal line situations, in my opinion. Plus, when you suck at running the ball and can't get a push from your oline, going for it on 4th down is incredibly risky. So yes, maybe going for it and getting it does increase the win probability versus a field goal, that doesn't take into account your team's ability to actually gain those few yards.
  24. I mean, his brain is probably already scrambled, right? He went through the NFL RB meat grinder for more than a decade.
  25. That's how I see it too. Looking at the sideline isn't a penalty. Looking at the sidelines to taunt them is. Standing over a player isn't a penalty. Standing over a player to taunt them is. Yelling isn't a penalty. Yelling to taunt someone is. It isn't the physical act, it is the intent of the act. We all know when we see it. What he did was taunting, however mild it was. I think they have gone way too far with it this year. A little taunting is not a big deal. But rules are rules. Players need to have disciplined minds to know that any little thing will get called. Go run towards a teammate and flex at him, if you must. Go out of your way to make sure you are not giving the appearance of taunting. Not because it is right, but because you will potentially get a flag thrown for it.
