flashback 2018 espn draft coverage of Josh pick
MJS replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a baby face. -
Or all those coaches just weren't very good. Hey, I'm not defending Mayfield. I think he is not turning out to be a good QB, but the Browns are underperforming in all aspects. They are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. They have one of the best olines in the NFL, two good running backs, good recievers and TE's, perhaps the #1 edge rusher in the game, and talent all over that defense. If you are underperforming with that much talent, that has to be on the coaches. Mayfield may not be great, but he is at least serviceable.

Wonderlic Test Eliminated from Pre-Draft Process
MJS replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall
I view wonderlic scores like this: If you scored high, you are quick thinking and/or you prepared well for it. If you score low, you didn't prepare for it or you are severely academically challenged (and somehow got through 3 years of college?). OR you didn't take the test seriously at all. A low score reflects badly on you mostly because it tells me you didn't take the draft process seriously. Why would you not prepare for the wonderlic when it is a simple test that is so easy to prepare for? To me, that reflects on your character, coachability, etc. Some people claim it is racist or culturally biased. I disagree. These are players that were supposed to have been attending college classes for at least 3 years, not to mention K-12. They should be able to handle the wonderlic questions regardless of race or cultural background. If English is not your first language, that's one valid excuse. -
Oh my goodness. Allen's statistics speak for themselves. He has historically great statistics for the first 4 years of a QB's career. This take is just laughable and wrong on so many levels. You really are blind to the reality. What experts are saying anything besides the fact that Allen is an elite QB? What experts? Tell me. Give me examples.

They could build something that has a roof over the seating but is open over the field. I guess I would prefer something like that. Something to keep the bulk of the rain and snow off the fans. I don't feel super strongly about dome or no dome. I like both ideas. I certainly like the outdoors games and even the occasional extreme weather game is fun. But I get those who don't want to deal with that. The thing I do not like about dome stadiums is they blast so much sound through the speakers. It is annoying and hurts my ears. That's not as much of an issue outdoors since the artificial sound escapes out of the stadium more. I also want a team that can learn how to deal with the elements and use it to their advantage. If Josh keeps playing in these types of games he will get better at it. There's always a chance that you'll have those types of games in the playoffs.

Yeah, I think the Bills do it right. And I think if they had a player that wanted food they would give it to him and they wouldn't make an issue out of taking food home. I don't know the ins and outs of the player in question accused of stealing food, but it just seems like a "do you actually care about that?" thing to me. Why would they care if he took food from the cafeteria?
-
I guess if I was running a multi billion dollar sports team and my players wanted food, I would tell them to take all they want. And then I would only have healthful options for them.
-
They should be in the market for the best head coach possible, regardless of what side of the ball they come from.
-
They would be foolish to not interview more candidates. If Frazier gets interviewed by another team and decides to go there, their plans are meaningless. It's always best to do your due diligence and come up with contingency plans just in case it doesn't work out.
-
Frazier still works for the Bills. How would that work?

Where are the results for Sam Darnold?

Of these three teams, which one do you hope to play on WC weekend?
MJS replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm sick of the Pats. I'd take the Raiders. Although, it would be nice to get revenge on the Colts and beat them in the playoffs two years in a row. -
Let's not get crazy.

And that's the problem. Everyone is only assuming. Brown needs to be held accountable for his actions until it is proven that he has some kind of mental disability AND that that mental disability is CAUSING him to lose control and do terrible things. Until then, he is just a crappy person who cares only about himself.

QBR only goes up to 100. Do you mean passer rating?
-
Yeah, I would have to look at the data. I'm assuming that being asymptomatic is at least slightly more common for those who are vaccinated, but yeah, there is still a high rate for the unvaccinated. But there is still a chance you can exhibit symptoms and then get tested and be out. But I think with the new protocols that we will see less players missing games.

I just think Diggs needs to bring that in. Things happen so fast on the goal line. You don't know how long windows are going to be open. You don't know how long protection will hold up. You see a window, you fire. He hit Diggs in the hands. Diggs makes those catches 99/100 times. It was weird, because Diggs almost seemed surprised the ball was there. He had to know the ball was coming to him and the likelihood of it being a quick pass was high, so I just think he should have been ready, the should have known it was coming hot, and the ball was accurate. Now, if Diggs had to lay out for it or if the ball was behind him, sure, but it wasn't. I think Diggs was probably feeling a bit sluggish due to the weather and his hands were cold, the ball was cold, and he wasn't mentally ready to catch it yet. But I don't feel super strongly about this. Maybe Allen could have taken some off of it, but that particular situation on the goal line, the QB doesn't have time to sit there and consider how hard or lightly he needs to throw the ball. He just has to react in a split second and fire it in there for the TD. I'm sure Diggs blames himself and Allen also blames himself. Oh well. Get it next time.

I have watched it many times and I still disagree. That one I put on Diggs, but there were other throws that I agree Allen put too much on them.

"You are so certain that AB is just a world class pos and not giving any credence to the notion that he may very well be dealing with an undiagnosed/untreated mental health issue. " Actually, I'm certain it is both. But having a mental health issue does not excuse his actions at all. But I get it, these days we excuse everyone's actions because they might have some mental issue. But I'm not going to. I am going to continue to judge people by their actions. And whatever mental issues he has, there are countless people living with the same thing who don't assault people and who don't destroy everything they come in contact with.

Ok. You have a strong opinion on this for some reason and you are going to have to accept that others view it differently. These are not facts, they are opinions. Call me dumb, insult my intelligence, or whatever you want. It doesn't change the fact that these are just opinions that we are arguing. And I think you are wrong. And lots of other people do too. But I'm sure there are plenty of others who agree with you. That's how opinions work.

Am I supposed to feel bad for Antonio Brown because Marshall has also done bad things? What's the point of this connection? I never said Marshall didn't do bad things I said they are not similar. And they're not. Countless players have off the field issues. Are we saying they are all connected to Antonio Brown somehow? Antonio Brown is a complete pile of garbage. You can say I'm a meanie if you want. I'll accept that.

I've watched it lots of times and I disagree with you. I think by this time it is best to just move on.
