Dear God...no. Allen needs a lot of work. Culley's resume doesn't exactly scream QB whisperer. This is the worst case scenario imo.

I mean, that can be answered in any of the 7000 Rosen threads already on board. Take the work ethic and leadership question marks out of the equation. He has actually had former teammates speak up on that. The concussion issue...well look at it like this. How many concussions has he had? How about Darnold? Mayfield? How many have they all had dating back to high school? What happens if we draft Mayfield and he gets his eggs scrambled in 2 consecutive games? Point being unless you have access to his medical records you don't really know the whole story. You know what the media and other posters feed you. Lastly he is a potential franchise changing QB. If you are ok with him at 12 the is absolutely zero legitimate reason not to slide up and take him at 2.

I think we all kinda knew it was coming. Good signing if McD can get him back to where he was early in his career.

It's a viable concern. Like you said, a few years down the road it's going to be tough to fit everyone under the cap. That said I feel like he's being aggressive in this instance, but once he gets his guy under center it's easy to slow down a bit. Getting a QB, as I'm sure you know is costly. It's going to cost you either a season of having a bad football team or will cost picks/players to get there. It's fair to wonder about the future. I like to believe that in the grand scheme of things that Beane will get it right. Win now and win later is what he has preached...and demonstrated.
