Ok, so yesterday the story was Beane wasnt prepared for a move because he had only met with the QBs for 15 minutes. And today the rumor (from ICB no less) is that talks are back on and we have made a formal offer...which he knows exactly what said offer is. And people believe this why exactly?

I would be ok with this DEPENDING on who else is on the board when we pick. I mean, if Mayfield fell to 12 I'd rather have him, move up in Rd1 for Vander Esch and grab a speed WR in round 2 and one of the linemen instead of 2 OL. Jmo

Soon as you put a fan it that position they become the pro. So it's a moot point. The fact is there are many times that for one reason or another those in the know swing and miss in obvious decisions.

Professionals draft poorly at times. Sign bad free agents. Write contracts that are horrible. Just being a "professional" means little more at times. When you see a guy that constantly struggles on the field like Newhouse..well let's just say even a fan can have an accurate educated guess as to how it's going to go. That said, players like Newhouse are needed to fill out a roster. Cannot have 53 All-Pros...and the Bills are pretty broke this year. It wouldn't be a bad signing for depth as he is versitle. But as Beane said, FA aqusitions for us at this point won't move the needle.

Allen wouldn't be my first choice, but if that's who Beane wants I can live with it. Side note: Bucky Brooks consistently has the worst Mocks I've ever seen. Worse than Walter football and not even close IMO. His first mock of the season didn't even have Roquan Smith in the first round. ????

100% agree. The only thing the draftees have over McCarron at this stage is a tad more youth. And that can be a good or bad thing.

Looking at Murphy's Twitter I think there's a chance he gives Brady a Stone Cold Stunner. Not even kidding.

I think the moves Beane has made since taking over prove that he has the guts to pull the trigger. You know what else he has? A roster with holes and in need of upgrades and 45 million in dead cap space. Everyone here wants everything done asap...but truth of the matter is Beane, Pegula and McDermott are building for the long haul with a planning mind. Step 1. Clear cap room. Done. Next year we are looking at 100 million-ish in cap space. If you think this was a wild off-season..just wait. Buffalo imo will be MAJOR players in FA next year. Step 2 Draft young players on rookie deals. About to happen. Still gotta draft well. AJ McCarron...well who really knows what he will be. If you read this board you learn that a player is either an All-pro or he sucks. While I don't think he will be an All-Pro this year...I don't think he will suck. I really do think he has the potential to be an upgrade on what we had. Every move Beane makes is well thought out and calculated. He knows how important a QB is. He will get that accomplished. Might be this year, might be next year.
