  1. Yes Ralph was cheap. Common knowledge. Jerry Sullivan is a trash "journalist" whose talents are less like Larry Felser and more like the average National Enquirer "journalist". Also common knowledge. However in this day and age sensationalism sells and Sullivan is often talked about. He's the Jerry Springer of Buffalo sports coverage.
  2. Giants may be willing to trade Beckham. Pat's may be willing to trade Gronk. Pat's like WRs with issues (Moss, Ocho Cincinnati). Giants traditionally like using the TE position. I'm not saying...I'm just saying...
  3. The thing Gettleman keeps saying over and over is if you pick at 2 you expect a HoF player. This is telling to me at least because there is 1 guy in a position of need for them that keeps getting touted as a likely HoF caliber player. That's Nelson. However with how much he's said it it likely means it's a smokescreen I'd say. I think he's looking to talk the pick up and hope to work that into more picks.
  4. I've said it before. I'll say it again. The quickest way to kill a "dumb thread" is to ignore it. Let it dropped off the page. Instead many have to criticize and insult said "dumb post" which moves it back to the top of the page. But hey, at least their own thread count increases and they get to seem superior on an internet message board. So there's that.
  5. I'm hearing he is about to sign. Should be announced tonight.
  6. What it tells me is that the person with the closest mouth to Jackson's ear really doesn't know what's going on and how to do things in the best interest of both team and player. Raises a flag that this person may just not be someone who I want to do business with. Raises a flag to me at least that he's someone that needs work, yet his top advocate has zero connections to or within the league or knows what kind of off season coaches he should work with to help him. Combine that with the low Wonderic and his flat out refusal to run a 40 and there are all kinds of small flags popping up at the wrong time for him. I've been a strong Jackson supporter for a while. I think his ability is far beyond anyone else in the draft as a playmaker. I've hated that he gets crucified for the same faults Allen has...but Allen is a top guy. Just the way everything pops up it's not looking good for him imo.
  7. I've been a big Jackson supporter for sometime now. Even I'm questioning him at this point. His ability to be a playmaker is unparalleled. In a good setting I could see him being something really special. With his mom agent making meetings and visits hard, his refusal to comply with what perspective employers want to see most (40 time) and now the low scores....nothing in and of itself is condemning but added all together I have to question whether he will be able to develop the way he could. Mom's got his "best interest at heart" but I sincerely doubt she's got QB coaches on speed dial, or she's got any way to know how the internal NFL works. He's being set up to fail and not succeed.
  8. On his latest podcast, former NFL scout @JohnMiddlekauff revealed the Wonderlic scores for some of the big time QBs: Josh Allen 37 Josh Rosen 29 Sam Darnold 28 Baker Mayfield 25 Lamar Jackson 13 i stink at adding the fancy embedded part...but there ya go
  9. I'm almost sure this was it. But with that 13 he got on the Wonderic, who knows what his thinking was.
  10. I found it odd that the analyst team kept saying "If you draft this kid in round 1 or round 2" Don't remember them saying round 2 for the other guys. Maybe the mom agent is shying people away. Not being easy to schedule or get to know hurts as well. Add not running the 40 and it's at least fair to wonder if teams will think he's going to be difficult to work with. He's slower than Usain Bolt, faster than Vita Vea.
  11. Those guys have agents. Mel Kiper (and likely others) have pockets that can be lined.
  12. Just a suggestion of course, but it's a good day to go be a Rams fan. Roster is so stacked Jeff Fisher could go 9-7 with it. http://ramsrule.com/herd/index.php
  13. I think people should be held accountable for this type stuff. I'd say if the Bills draft Mayfield or Jackson you really should leave...and if you don't the mods should assist.
  14. No, but not necessarily because of AJ. This is a roster that IMO overachieved a tad last year, then got weaker in the off-season. We have no LBs outside possibly Milano right now. We have a healing KB and not much else at WR. Any QB we start this season will have limited experience in NFL games. Now, we could still sign some post draft cuts, hit well in the draft and find some players that are upgrades, but as of right now there is no way I'd see this roster make a playoff run. So does Tim Tebow.
  15. Agree. His negatives are almost the same as Josh Allen, yet Allen has an amazing upside and Jackson should "play WR". Of course one has an agent that has the publicity wheel spinning in his favor and one doesn't. I think they have about the same ceiling and Jackson is a much superior all around athlete. Winning cures all. Had we drafted Watson last year and he flashed the way he did and got us to a playoff game, would the anti Tyrod crowd still hate Watson?
  16. So, the big takeaways here are Mead dreams of big men and eats nuts. Not that they are related. Or that there is anything wrong if they are.
  17. Man, Geno keep getting opportunity and the guy who kneels doesn't. Obvious racis...uh..oh right.
