  1. I would not make that trade as I would not want Beckham. His production...yes. Him no.
  2. Trade 12 to the Mets for his rights?
  3. With the 4th pick in the draft the Cleveland Browns select Baker Mayfield. QB OU. The Broncos and @Canadian Bills Fan are on the clock. Mayfield was my #1 from the start. I was hoping the Giants would take the Darnold bait and the Jets with Rosen. But I will stick to my guns. Not anything against Darnold, but with Tyrod as my QB I want a guy that can start early if need be. I'm not convinced Darnold can. His turnovers are potentially fatal for a team that may be in a lot of close games. The history of Darnold and his fumbles worry me, especially for a cold weather team that will aspire to host playoff games in the future. "I'd love that," Mayfield said of potentially being selected by the Browns. "First things first, they'd get a winner. If anybody's gonna turn that franchise around, it'd be me. I'd be able to put it in the right direction." We talk about his intensity fitting here in Buffalo... Cleveland is much the same. Does Mayfield act immature at times? Sure. But he's got a guy in the QB room that love or hate is by all praised as being a consummate professional. Hard working and dedicated. I think he could mature under Taylor.
  4. Beane needs to trade 12 & 22 right now. 22 for Webb and 12 for his package.
  5. Perhaps I like Mike White in the 2nd. Who knows? ?
  6. And to this point, the fact that the GM for the Giants remarked but didn't pick tells me that Barkley was the pick there, or at the very least was likely seriously in play for them.
  7. Well here's another way to think about it. I have 2 QBs that are VERY closely rated in my eyes. Would be happy with either. But I have Barkley above both. There is a chance that the Giants/Jets could go QB/QB but even if they do will they hit both I like? Possibly. I also think the odds would be higher of them taking Barkley than a QB. Calculated risk. As it sits right now I still have a choice of a minimum of 2 of Darnold, Rosen, Allen or Mayfield. Who knows, I may end up with my top QB choice still and have secured Barkley. I refuse to make it easy for ya ???
  8. Right away not realistic if there can be no trades. Presented with the option as it is, I'd be less worried about missing a top QB in a deep class than a consensus top player on the board.
  9. In a draft with no trades and the possibility of losing only 1 top QB as an option? Both tbh.
  10. Manish Mehta is horrible. I remember reading a lot of his stuff in the past and almost nothing that he says comes to fruition. Less reliable than La Conjecture in my book...lol
  11. With the 1st selection, the Cleveland Browns select Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State The Giants @whatdrought are on the clock I am fully ready for and expecting the verbal backlash on this one. I know, I know "A RB at 1... TERRIBLE". "Cleveland wouldn't do that". The Mock Mel Kipers are going to spaz. I fully get it. And I agree. If there were trades, pick here absolutely would have been a QB. Can't take the chance of losing this guy to the Giants. A backfield with Barkley and Hyde with TT and his running ability make my new ground game potentially deadly. Having Hyde lessens the workload for Barkley and delays that Rookie Wall that happens so often. Unlike past Browns regimes...I have a plan!
  12. Can almost guarantee him hitting a key punt against the Raiders then getting an unsportsmanlike penalty. ?
  13. Hopefully public ridicule is part of the process.
  14. Virgil, if you want the Giants I as the Cleveland owner will offer to share pick 4 and the 1st second rounder we have with Whatdrought. That way more people can play. Either way is fine for me. Just let me know what you guys want ?
  15. I agree with the though of the Giants beefing up the lines and Gettleman has repeatedly said at 2 he would want a perspective HoF caliber player. That leads me to believe he's eyeing (or trying to give the impression) Nelson. But 2 is a tad high for a guard by most standards. And I agree that that's something they may do as well. Spread out and improve all around. If we didn't need a QB that's what I'd hope the Bills would do.
  16. Here's my unsolicited theory. I'll put it here rather than make a new thread. I firmly believe that the Pats are armed and ready to make a move up the draft board. But not for a QB. In my mind Belichick can see, as we all can that there will be an early rush on QBs near the top. A great thing for a team that has a QB because this pushes other (and more all around talented) players down the board a bit. By acquiring that 2nd 1st along with what they already had just the 2 first could in theory move them at or near top 10. Throw in a 2nd or 2 and they could in theory move to the 7-10 range. Why would they set up like this? I think they have their eyes on a big time defender after giving up 41 to Nick Foles. Draft could easily play out like this: 1. Cle- Allen 2. NYG- Darnold 3. Jets- Rosen 4. Cle- Barkley 5. Den- Nelson 6. **Trade** Buffalo- Mayfield With Indy getting a plethora of picks to move this would open up the Pats to move way up for Chubb. Belichick seemed to like Chubb at his Pro Day, even guided him through some drills personally. Made the remark "Well, we pick at 31 so good luck to you". And the move will be hailed as genius as Belichick took advantage of the QB market to grab a top guy that slid down. Just my opinion.
