  1. I like that! With the weapons we have, giving Josh more protection and time to survey the field is paramount for a successful season. Yes, Dawkins to RT would be the move as well. He's not an elite LT, serviceable but not elite or pro bowl material.
  2. I'd seriously be more inclined to look at Josh Gordon before ever entertaining AB.
  3. Butler strikes me as lazy. Great athlete but unmotivated. Underachieving at this point in his career no doubt.
  4. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001106801/article/broncos-acquire-dt-jurrell-casey-for-20-draft-pick Man! Just saw Denver trade for Jurrell Casey from Tennessee for a 7th. A 7th! Would have been a massive upgrade over Butler and Star for that matter. For a 7th and 2 million more over Butler would've been a no brainer. The guy is a true wrecking ball at DT.
  5. I give it a B+ if Diggs doesn't honor his current contract and wants a redo. An A if he does honor it. The compensation seems right. We were never getting Hopkins and I'm sure Beane inquired. O'Brien maybe clueless but he's not clinically insane, I think? Radio jocks are already playing the over/ under game as to by what game Diggs starts bitchin about Josh's accuracy and not getting the ball to him on time.
  6. To quote Cam Newton himself, " Is you dumb?" Don't want him anywhere near my QB.
  7. A lot of good players will be available at #54. Have no idea what Beane will go with,... but I trust him.. As it stands right now we need a RB. Motor and Yeldon are fumble machines. Howard would of been a good get but Miami is doing their best Jets impression and overpaying everyone. Hyde maybe?
  8. You know that old saying that goes, " for every beautiful woman you see there's a guy whose tired of, well...you know?" Yeah. That does not apply here! Well deserved Mr. Poyer. You truly live a blessed life. ?
  9. I fear you may be right but I just don't consider him a franchise LT. I can't help it, I know it's not my money but as a consumer I hate paying top $$ for average to slightly above average goods.
  10. Get Tre done before the season. He's obviously worth Byron Jones money. Id also try to lock up Dawkins to a significant but not overwhelming contract. He's worth retaining, but not at 15+ per season. Milano will have to wait as I see him as lower priority.
  11. Even if they stick with Fitz the defense should be improved enough to keep them in games. They'll be drafting 1 or 2 WR studs with their multitude of picks to go with Parker.
  12. Beane always shows up late to the dance but some how always leaves with the hottest girl there! Front office competence at its finest!! Because there's no telling when his deal with the devil runs out.
  13. This D can get away with fielding older players because they see so much rotation during a game. Expect Addison to see somewhere about 50% of defensive snaps especially in 3rd down passing situations. Solid acquisition.
  14. Obviously the contract is a plus but what's not to make us believe he won't want to renegotiate after a year or 2? Especially if he posts big numbers.
  15. Kinda the same feeling when we signed Trent Murphy.
  16. Severely? Nah, maybe a little though. How many back up QBs saw meaningful action in the playoffs? Josh took a big step limiting his recklessness last season and I expect that to continue when he hopefully gets more offensive options. This is a run first team and feel (heaven forbid) short term Barkley would be adequate with a power run game supporting him, if he's ever needed. Now let's go get a WR and RT!!!!
  17. And Josh won't? Franchise QBs always start unless hurt or have nothing to play for. I think a borderline starter at back up QB is more essential on teams like Arizona (Murray), Colts (Brissett), Jags (Minshew), Bengals?, SD?, Miami ?. Teams whose QBs can crap out at any given time. Josh may not be elite yet but I don't put him in that category. To me Barkley is not a bad option for us right now. We have so many other pressing needs.
  18. Really impressed with what the Browns are doing. Sooner than later they will turn it around. They won't always be known as the Factory of Sadness..... But I've been wrong before.
  19. You got that right. Looks like he's hanging out by the kiddie pool. If we were one or two players away it would be a lot more peaceful around here, but we're not. We are in BIG NEED of a WR, RT and Edge Rusher. I understand the need to maintain cap integrity for future contracts, but that's in the future. Tre is the only player I consider a "must sign" player. Not Milano, not Dawkins.
  20. Give them credit, they're making moves and filling needs with quality player acquisitions. Besides, it's not like the Bills are in the market for a starting TE and RT, right? ^^^ (sarcasm)
