  1. True, but I keep reading here is that Jordan Phillips isn't going to be persued as a priority FA because we have Harrison Phillips coming back and Oliver progressing at the position. Personally I'd love to retain Jordan but he might've played himself out of Buffalos price range, for him in particular. And if we're comparing Ed Oliver and J. Phillips? Ed also has youth and a rookie contract. Doesn't bode well for us retaining Jordan unless he bombs in FA.
  2. I like Harry but has he proven to be noticeably better than Phillips the last 2 seasons? I don't think so personally. Harry's advantage is youth and a rookie contract.
  3. Yeah that one is pretty bad. He's like the 70th prospect ranked and 6th graded OL in the draft but we're taking him in the 1st? Yet Higgins, Gross-Matos and swift are still on the board. What a joke!!
  4. They'll give Tannehill a really good and fair deal like 3 years at 70 mil. They'll tag Henry and try to work something out with Conklin. No way all 3 get long term deals. Doesn't seem feasible but I could be wrong. Lewan has a massive contract already.
  5. Well we did select Tre White over Mahomes when we were in need of a QB so it's justifiable. FTR, I really like Josh, but I'm sure if we could all go back? Well, you know.....
  6. Totally agree Hap. Wasn't against signing him as I thought he'd be a good pick up and still productive player. I was referring to compensation and where we are as a team. No doubt we were outbid by Seattle and the appeal to play with Wilson was too enticing. Also, Washington is a No Income Tax state.which is always a factor. 7 mil is a lot for a 34 yo TE, IMO.
  7. Hey, I never looked at it that way! Let's follow up one bad mistake with an even more colossal one.? This team is close, very close. Stop going after other teams throw a ways and start locking up young talented contributors instead of one year over priced rentals.
  8. I'm sure that's more than Beane was thinking. Considering Graham and Kelce make 10 and 9 mil respectively, 7 is way too much for Olsen. Hooper is ready to reset the market at probably 11.5. Go after the young stud instead.
  9. He'd be a great #2 CB on our team but unfortunately wants to get paid like a #1 somewhere else. He's a very good corner who's trying to lock down an elite contract way over his value. And in no way, shape or form is he worth anything above a 3rd round pick as far as draft compensation.
  10. Lol? Like I said dude, no horse in the race. But I'm glad they're still fans out there to protect the integrity of the NFL? But everybody already knows the NFL is on the up and up, right? You're right in one sense though. When and if ever an egregiously bad call favors the Buffalo Bills that results in a championship outcome, I'll smile and walk away as I bite my tongue.
  11. I'm always for second chances and a change of scenery scenarios, but it's a hard pass for me dawg.
  12. I obviously had no horse in that race but I do recall watching it and thinking, Man this game does not smell right. IIRC, the playoff game against the Colts had a similar odor that year as well. Seemed like the NFL wanted to send Cowher and Bettis out on a high note.
  13. Tomlin was HC for that one, not Cowher. Super Bowl XL was Pitt/ Sea Cowher/ Holmgren That's the one I'm referring to.
  14. Didn't exactly "win it" as much as it was given to him. Probably the most fraudulent SB in recent memory. That being said, I wish someone "gave" Marv a SB?
  15. This^ He gained a paycheck then lost his ❤. No thanks.
  16. I like him but is Spain really a 7 mil per type of player? Maybe I guess but I don't see it personally. WTH, I've seen worse contracts
  17. If the only option AJ has is a minimum deal prove it contract I'm sure there are other teams he'd rather consider. NE, BAL, GB, DAL all come to mind. Teams that are in desperate need of #1 or solid #2 WR. He's gonna want an established QB that can boost his stock for his follow up contract.
  18. Baker= Swag + Crass= Dumpster ? Josh= Swag + Class = Playoffs. ?
  19. True, but he and a 1st year softy coach like Kitchens was a recipe for disaster. They should've stuck with Williams. I don't believe McBeane ever would have drafted Baker but if he was an inherited QB from a previous regime I think McDermott would have straightened him out or ran him out.
  20. I think Baker would've thrived here if we drafted him. Cleveland is a poorly run organization that just can't get right regardless of talent, and they have a lot of it. Josh, Darnold and Jackson would have floundered if drafted by the Browns. In the words of Bruce Hornsby, That's just the way it is, somethings will never change.
  21. You'd be the one getting the fist if you made that trade.? I know it's a typo, couldn't resist though?
  22. He's got his ring. He'd go to Cincinnati or Miami if they paid him 15 per.
  23. Sammy would never come here as a FA unless he got a kings ransom. Heck, to me he's not worth the 16 per he's getting from KC. I like Sammy, always have. But if he signed here on a mega deal only to get hurt again this place would explode.
