  1. Never said nor dare compared him to my all time favorite Bill. Just threw out the measurables.
  2. Bruce was 6'4 @ 265 but played as heavy as 275. AJ goes 275
  3. Not upgrade but we can use a complimentary player at RB to go with Devin. Easily acquired through FA. I get a feeling Fournette or Hyde will be a Bill soon.
  4. BPA I guess. Not fast but has power. He will not be bullied at this level.
  5. Dobbins Akers Espenesa Okwara Moss Claypool Who u got? Good players still there.
  6. Good post. One of those 2 could elevate this defense even more, especially considering we don't have that 3rd caliber LB to go with Edmunds and Milano. Klein is serviceable but in a Big Nickel Dugger or Chinn would be a nasty addition.
  7. Love Shady, but we already have that type of back. We need a between the tackles battering ram that picks up the tough short distance yards late in a game.
  8. No QB has ever looked over his shoulder more than Tuh-rod Taylor.
  9. This is why people think the American educational system is failing. Fournette can be had for a bag of tees and Yannick wants a contract over 20 mil a year. Not a ideal scenario. Not opposed to acquiring Fournette though. I think he'd be a nice compliment to Motor without the unnecessary wear and tear load of a work horse.
  10. 1980 and a freshman in HS. (hence the username billsbackto81) Fergy Cribbs Butler Lewis Smerlas That's the team that got me hooked on Buffalo football. Happy Birthday Joe!
  11. I'd like it honestly. Beane was very high on Fournette when he was drafting in Carolina. If he stays healthy it's a great 1-2 punch. The kid is very outspoken though and might be a locker room problem.
  12. Is he from Zumunda or Wakanda? I'll go with Cheyenne O'Grady. Sounds like Pocahontas had a love child with a leprechaun.
  13. Once again, it's not about the player who is by most accounts a consensus top tackle in the draft. It's about compensation and character. He still very well may be one of the first tackles taken regardless. You have to consider who's running the team. A pair joined at the hip that values team first, high character and work ethic. They will gamble on wildcards like Norman, but he's a one year deal that's a perfect scheme fit, not a 1st Rd commitment. The audacity of a young man to perform at the combine knowing he's a dirty urine just screams entitled little s#!+. Maybe there's more to this and some details aren't made available and I'm being too harsh too soon but to me he's a red flag. Would I like him on my team? Heck ya!! Will McBeane? Maybe, but not at the expense of a future 1st rounder.
  14. It's not so much the guy as it is the compensation. Nobody's kicking up a 1st for a guy who failed a drug test. Not even another company. The fact he couldn't stay clean for the biggest audition of his life is a big red flag. Why didn't he just not participate at the combine? He had to know he'd test positive. He could've just let his tape speak for itself and just do a pro day. Probably wouldn't have hurt his stock much, but now....woof! Pissed away a lot of money.
  15. I don't care how talented he is, next years #1 for a guy who just failed a drug test knowing full well it was coming? No way! I don't care if it was weed, and I have nothing against cannabis. That's like one of us going to a 500k a year job interview drunk and expecting to get hired on the spot. With everything we know about this regime do you really think Beane is putting up a future 1st for a combine failed drug test? If he falls and we can trade up with the back end picks we have that's cool. Next years 1st? ? Jeez, some guys here on the board should be tested..
  16. 85% of their current fan base don't go back that far so they wouldn't know the feeling.
  17. Whether he's the "best" is debatable. He is in the " elite" category. So many factors to consider when discussing CBs. Speed, physicality, shadowing, closing speed, hands, reaction and recognition. I'd say he's definitely Top 3 and deserves to be compensated at the going rate. And that's not taking into consideration that he's a stand up community guy that genuinely wants to be here. PAY DA MAN!!!
  18. Its actually less than that? They want to get them locked up before they negotiate with Tre. He will likely be the highest paid CB in the league surpassing the deal Jones got from Miami, and he's a much better player than Jones.
  19. I like Akers as well. His O line at FSU was horrible and he still produced at a high level. Imagine what he'll do with competent blocking on the NFL level.
  20. Yeah, but they also aren't in a rush to sign Hyde who went over 1k at a 4.4 clip. He'd be my choice to tandem with Motor and Yeldon. That's a nice trio right there.
  21. Is there a player in the bottom half of the 1st Rd that will put the Bills in the SB conversation? IMO, no. Our positions of need are very much attainable in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and if Beane desires a certain pick he can package the later selections. Giving up a future 1st after we just acquired Diggs with this year's 1st isn't smart business.
  22. What a great movie dude! Bit of a tear jerker but definitely restored my faith in humanity a little bit. BTW: Just looked up the Tenn/ ARK game and after the crushing fumble by Stoerner, Travis Henry ran the ball 5 straight times for the go ahead TD.
