  1. I agree. Over the years my hate for the guy has turned into respect. A lot more respect for him than the coach who rode his coattails for nearly 20 years.
  2. Stop with the people just love hating on Cam. I thought he was one of the best players in the NFL 5 or 6 years ago. The guy is an above average starter in the league who just came off a season where he threw 8 touchdowns in 15 games. This isnt hate, its reality. If he comes out and plays like an MVP this year, Ill eat crow, thats fine. But where it stands he isnt a very good thrower of the football.
  3. Agreed. Also think it had to do with him making it so dramatic for two weeks. Had he come out not said a word and just signed with AZ it wouldnt have been so negative
  4. Trying to get that #1 pick next year.
  5. These conversations around culture are always funny to me because they always say they can tell the difference in a good culture vs a bad one, but no one ever gets prescriptive about it. You'd think you'd be able to bottle that stuff up and sell it for millions. Also funny how having a good culture usually goes hand in hand with having an elite player at the Quarterback position.
  6. Probably a pass at this point. If he had the injury history and was productive it'd be one thing, but he hasnt been a productive player sans one year. Given the cap restrictions and his scale for the veteran minimum, I'd probably pass even at that rate.
  7. Completely forgot about that. May be a long while.
  8. I dont think there was much wiggle room in his contract. A healthy John Brown on a 9.5 million dollar contract is grossly underpaid. Even missing the time he did, the value he brings to a team is worth at least that much when you consider what players at that position get paid. If he was a bit younger and a bit more available he probably sticks, but those are rose colored glasses. When you're looking at the reality of the situation, where you have an almost 32 year old wideout who cant stay on the field, its probably better for the team and the player to just cut ties and let him go to free agency.
  9. Wouldnt touch Schwartz due to age, and his relation to Geoff. Fisher will land somewhere for good money, but is probably on the back end of his career too
  10. His contract expired he is a free agent.
  11. Looks a bit like Bobby Fisher but the picture makes it look like the face is almost too angular.
  12. If they got a three page thread on a site full of dudes, imagine the publicity they got from people who actually care.
  13. Good God do I miss Peaky Blinders.
  14. If you can bring him in for 5.5-6.5 million a year I'd love the Bills to take the risk. A little scary that he hasnt played a full season since his ACL. But in terms of cuts he peaks my interest.
  15. A lot like Gabe Jackson in terms of stage of career. Guy was one of the best guards in the league a few years ago, has made a lot of money, and is still an above average starter. Two problems a team will have in courting these guys in free agency. A) They want to be paid like they still are top five players at their position based on legacy B) If you pay them what they are actually worth at this stage in their career you may get an unmotivated player at the end of their career. In the case of Zietler and Jackson, I'd rather the Bills just re-sign Feliciano.
  16. I think you still have to look at Addison, Klein and Star.
  17. Quickly became one of my favorite players in the league. Did a great job on and off of the field for the Bills. Thank you Smoke.
  18. For his age and what he would cost, you'd be better off keeping John Brown.
  19. He is only on the 6th try, give it time.
  20. Carol Burnett?
  21. You're including a season where he missed 12 games due to injury. Missing that much time was an outlier. Using that same logic guys like Saquon Barkley and Dalvin Cook are also "Mr. Glass." The bottom line is runningbacks miss games. I dont see Carson's first season as statistically relevant because again, for him to miss serious time with an injury is an outlier. Its fine if you disagree, but the guy is a good back.
  22. I think the Bucs resigning David decreased the possibility a great deal. Milano is a fantastic player and a less than premium position. As such, he is probably someone who gets overpaid by a team with a lot of Cap Space. I think the Bills are more concerned with giving big contracts to players at premium positions, and players at positions where the salaries are more manageable (Guard, Safety, Special Teams).
  23. He has had injuries, but I think he is as injury prone as any other running back. He's missed five games the last two seasons, Singletary who is a younger back has missed 4 in the same timeframe. Carson is a productive back. I would argue he is actually underrated.
  24. Bette Midler?
