[Misleading Title] Dion Dawkins to Covid list
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Football gods really having fun with the Bills this year. Not a great week for your best olineman to go out. -
We will see what he has in the long term but right now his game speed looks nowhere near Mckittricks.

Is this finally the year we make a big push for offense?
thenorthremembers replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
Marvin Lewis never won a playoff game, so McBeane is already well beyond him Debbie. What has Jerry Hughes done this year to warrant another season? The guy is toast. -
Cards have great skill players. I am not sure Murrays wing and a prayer style will survive once they have to pay him.

Insane Stat of the Day Josh Allen.
thenorthremembers replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
All QBs eventually get hurt. All football players, eventually get hurt. The statistics show that a Quarterback is more likely to get hurt in the pocket than he is running the ball. I am pretty sure if you go back to the game thats exactly what happened. If I recall he seemed to hurt his ankle and foot on a sack he took in the pocket. -

Should get to all time leader by the end of his career. Should be the all time leader in passing yard and passing touchdowns by that time as well. Goes to show you how special of a player we have leading the team right now. -
If the Bills re-sign Edmunds, they're stupid.
thenorthremembers replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this is completely wrong. They did not draft a linebacker with incredible speed to take up blockers. This is the Carolina defense, did they ask Kuechly or Davis to take on blockers? No, because those guys flew around and made plays. These guys dont have a 1 Tech in front of them who is asked to eat up space and blockers, just to do the same thing. The Bills drafted Edmunds to be a play maker, the problem is he just isnt a very instinctive football player. What you're seeing is Edmunds failure to disengage when he takes on blockers. -
Dane Jackson played pretty well
thenorthremembers replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was Dane. However, it was a rub play. When he chased Perriman across the middle he got blocked out of coverage. -

Got killed a month ago when I made the same assertions. Constantly fooled by the play action. Constantly out of place in his zone. Cant get off blocks despite being a behemoth. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane. Not sure there is a more annoying player to watch on the Bills. Also can we please put to rest this idea that the guy is good in coverage. We play zone, and teams make their money in the middle of the field. As such, he is not good im coverage. Needed to be moved to OLB a long time ago. -
Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Pregame thread

And no power until 6pm tonight. Gonna pray I turn the game on to a Bills lead! -
The guy has now played exactly 50% of his games since he has been here. The contract, and the Bills inability to get out of it is an embarrassment. If your record tells you who you are, then the Bills were better off without the guy. Post June 1st cut next year. You cant hold onto a 33 year old guy who has only played half of the games.

Tyrod benched for a rookie again
thenorthremembers replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember telling my wife after the Jacksonville game that Tyrod and Bortles had set Quarterbacking back 80 years in that game. I've seen some stinkers, but that was by far the worst. They were both terrified to throw the ball. -
You can also look at his burst and say he was getting to the hole fast enough before it was a wall of humanity. The Bills problem goes beyond having a bad offensive line, they have bad running backs too. That said, the ability to bring in a Dalvin Cook type of running back who is clearly special is maybe a once every five year opportunity.

They could go get Tyler Linderbaum in the first round, use him as a Left Guard next year and then switch him to Center when Morse's contract is up after next season. Regardless, Mitch is going to have to take a paycut to stay around. 11 million for an average center is not going to cut it with the low cap.

To be fair there are only so many good Quarterbacks in the league, as such you could do that for every team. Saying "while Mahomes was struggling" is a bit of a misnomer as well. You're putting all the onus on Mahomes, rather than saying that the Bills actually did a good job against him. Despite having a down year Mahomes is still going to make the Pro Bowl in the AFC, and remains one of the top five players at his position. In comparison the Pats have beat Zach Wilson, Davis Mills, Ryan Tannehill, Herbert, Mayfield, Alllen, Matt Ryan, and Sam Darnold. Would you call that a murderers row? How many top 5 QBs have they beat? Two? They've also lost to Jameis Winston and Tua. Bottom line is its a week to week league, and the games are hard to win. There are no sure things, and five weeks from now the Bills could be in a completely different place.

Leslie Frazier in the mix for Bears HC?
thenorthremembers replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you'll see him in the mix for both the Bears and Raiders. Mayock spent time in Minnesota when he was there. -
Beane needs to spend serious resources on the OL
thenorthremembers replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
At minimum they need a guard at most they need two. Its not a total wash. Beyond that they need a running back with real NFL speed who isnt a journeyman
