Pizza Subs were for sure a thing in Orleans County growing up. That said, you can order them at Subway so not that big of a secret.

Do players know immediately if a rookie is good or bad?
thenorthremembers replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The player's innate talent doesnt shift that drastically dependent on level of play. A player's experience between his last year of college and rookie mini camp is almost identical. The OP said veterans knew Josh had it "as soon as he arrived." As such, the question isnt about college success as you say above, rather their potential in the NFL when they arrive. College had nothing to do with it. -

If players could tell immediately if a another player was good or bad, they'd all be GMs. -
Rex Ryan blasts the Jets coaching staff
thenorthremembers replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
People can blast Rex all they want about his time here, I think he wanted to show the Jets up more than he really wanted to be Buffalo's head coach. However, his career in coaching is better than Belichick's without Brady. Ryan's ego is the problem, not his football knowledge. He may be a loudmouth, but he isnt wrong here. -
Will show a lot about the character of Miami's players. They will be playing for their coach and their season. Another blowout loss and going to 1-7 will push Miami's management to make a move on the coach. I expect a competitive football game.

Its a no brainer if he is available. You get one of the most talented backs in the league for the rest of this year, and all of next year for a little less than 10 million dollars total. If he continues to be injury prone you move on after 2022.

All-22 Grades for Bills/Titans (The Athletic)
thenorthremembers replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the trade that brought Jerry Hughes here is one of the best in Bills' history. That said, if I never have to hear any version of the following "While he wasn't able to get to the QB, Jerry Hughes had plenty of pressures" again I'll die a happy man. The guy has made 2.5 million dollars a sack the last 3 years.- 39 replies

Dont see any sense in giving up a pick for Sanders when I think the difference between he and Singletary is negligible.

His responsibility wasn't to cover both Brown and Henry on the same play, his responsibility was determined by the offensive playcall. It's football 101. Even the Linebackers on my JV football team have gap responsibility for a running back on a run play, and need to drop into a zone if its a pass play, its not complicated. Edmunds had the middle zone on those A.J. Brown routes and failed to drop into the zone because he got sucked forward by the play action thinking he had to fill the run gap. The Bills play zone coverage, so my guess (again I dont have All 22) is that Wallace was supposed to pass the coverage off over the middle of the field, which is why he was 1-2 yards off Brown when he caught the ball on those crossers. Maybe the Bills were in man coverage, but I highly doubt they switched to man principles against AJ Brown and Julio Jones where their Cornerbacks would be grossly overmatched in both size and speed.

I for one am shocked and appalled that a college program would deviate from the rules when recruiting...... and still be so bad. -
I dont have all 22, but I thought the linebackers were putrid in the game. Feel like both Edmunds and Milano had a terrible time getting off of their blocks, forcing our safeties to take on Henry way too much. I also thought Edmunds did a bad job on getting enough depth versus A.J. Brown's crossing routes. He anticipated run plays stepped up out of his zone and let the wideout cross through his zone free. Admittedly I am not a big Edmunds fan, but I thought he was turning a corner coming off of two excellent games. However, I think the bad linebacker play was a big reason the defense got run over on Monday.

What are your thoughts on Ed Oliver?

I am not convinced theyll pick uo his 5th year option. Hes a fine rotational piece but nowhere near the player to justify the money his option will cost. -
10/18/21 Gameday Bills @ Titans Postgame thread
thenorthremembers replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think its more about you criticizing the one guy who kept the Bills in the game that makes people think youre being insane. Not the defense who gave up 150 yards rushing, couldnt sniff Tannehills jock on their pass rush or get enough depth in their drops to stop crossing patterns. Not the RT who couldnt block or the backup linebacker who had an 80 yard holding penalty. But the guy who threw for 353 yards and three tds. You may be reaching.
