  1. He had a strip sack of Tannehill 4 or so years ago that was one of the best defensive efforts Ive ever seen. Good on ya Jerry.
  2. The plebians showed up to the palace...thats the real issue.
  3. If Josh had the 1st two seasons he had here in Seattle after they traded Russ both Carroll and Schneider would be out on their cans. I call bs.
  4. To summarize: What Gronk did was wrong and deserved a year suspension but because he let me party with him the act really wasnt his fault. The Patriots' culture is the real criminal.
  5. No chance. There are around 30 other QBs in the league I'd take over Jones, and some of them are backups. He has arm talent, and is a good athlete, but he just doesnt have what it takes to be a franchise QB, Oline or not. The guy is responsible for an average of 1.75 turnovers a game since he came into the league. You cant win like that when you arent scoring enough to make up for it. Long term maybe he becomes a Tannehill type, but I think its more likely he ends up as a career backup.
  6. Comes down to believing a billion dollar organization with protocols to protect themselves from stuff like this, or the guy with the 10cent brain.
  7. I think both men are entitled to their opinion, and I dont think what Hub said was wrong. Further than just the sound bite Hub said a player cant be an MVP if they dont continually put their team in the best position to win, that said Rodgers is 139-65 as a starter for the Packers so it's really hard to argue that despite his attitude he doesnt put his team in the best position to win games. Not to mention the team has the best record in football this year, the year Hub is voting on. As such, I think Hub's assertion that he cant vote for Rodgers because of his attitude doesnt hold a lot of water. On Rodgers, he is someone I've liked more and more. No matter where he stands on the issue at hand, I dont think someone should be held publicly as some sort of bad person just because he doesnt agree with the crowd, and make no mistake, thats the issue right now. We are in a very bad place as a society when we let our emotions get in the way of rationale thinking.
  8. Rather spend the money on someone who isnt prone to leaving the team with mental health issues. If they aren't real, he quit on his team. If they are real, they just dont go away with rest. Real mental health issues take time, and have a tendency to reoccur. Good wideout, but bring in a mid tier veteran or mid round rookie to compete with the Gabe Davis who has already been here busting his butt for the team. Not to mention the 11 million dollar cap hit.
  9. I hear ya brother. I too was a big Rex guy. The act wore thin a bit at the end here, but cant be upset with the way things have turned out.
  10. I agree that Harbaugh is a really good coach. On the Saban/Belichick/Joe Judge thing, I just dont think their approach works with grown men. Belichick can get away with it now because Brady won him a bunch of Super Bowls. But, had he never had Brady at QB, I think he was on his way to being fired in New England, he was 11-16 as their head coach before Brady took over for Bledsoe.
  11. I dont fully disagree with your argument here, but to say Rex wasnt good at teaching the scheme is a bit obtuse, especially when comparing him with Belichick. Rex's defensive units had an average rank of 13 during his tenure, Belichick's all time average is 8, they arent worlds apart in terms of defensive outcome. I think Rex's media personality gets in the way of what a talented defensive coach he actually was. I don't think you're wrong about your assertion that the best coaches are good teachers. Just feel like a better example is someone like Adam Gase who had an average offense ranking of 26th without Peyton Manning.
  12. You focused on one part of my worry. I get you cant constantly hit a go, but they are game changing plays that I cant recall the Bills hitting this season. My bigger worry is Allen being below 7 Y/A for the season. I think both things are part of a larger systemic issue with the team. I think the passing game is incredibly reliant on Josh moving out of the pocket and throwing back to the middle of the field. Love the QB but the variety on offense is lacking. Where are the slants, the screens, the aforementioned gos? If I have two high id hope to see at least one slant or screen to take a advantage of out of box players. Also like to see one offensive player take a 5 yard quick hitter to the house. Hard to do that when you are catching a lot of zone beaters after the Qb has just scrambled for 5 seconds.
  13. I dont understand how taking something meant for you to eat is stealing? Unless they charge the players for the food in the first place how is it stealing? Feel like this is more about embarrassing the guy than it is anything else.
  14. I'd watch and go. My kids love football, and it would be more cost friendly and probably family friendly. Would help if the team was an affiliate of an NFL team but even without that we'd go.
  15. Good thing the Giants are intent on keeping Joe Judge. Desperation is a great look for a football team.
  16. Now we wait for the tiktok of him dancing on a car.
  17. Gotta be honest, there has been something disjointed about this team all year. It goes beyond the odd losses to the Steelers, and Jaguars and has something to do with the passing game. I think Josh has had a fine season, but the team's inability to strike fast bothers me a lot. When is the last time you can remember the Bills being able to hit a go route? It seems Josh has a lot of trouble being accurate on the long ball. The Bills longest passing play of the year ranks 31st in the league, that puts Josh behind guys like Teddy B, Sam Darnold, Joe Flacco and Tua. Additionally, his current Y/A is 6.9, good for 20th in the league, think Carson Wentz, and Ryan Tannehill. The guy is a baller, and I love that he is our QB but with the inability to hit a real game turning play and an uptick in interceptions, I am incredibly worried about the playoffs, especially if they have to play from behind. What is the point of being able to throw it 80 yards in the air if you cant hit a WR in stride? Josh Allen is not alone here. The Bills WR group also worries me. They simply arent an explosive group. Right now they are 20th in the league in yards after catch. Maybe its Josh holding the ball too long, and not allowing the wideouts to catch the ball in stride, but whatever the case the Bills offensive weapons just dont turn short passes into long gains. The Bills seem like a team destined to make it into the second round but not much beyond.
  18. Have to wonder if the new age limits in the XFL will be the end of it altogether. Will allow 18 year olds to play, get paid, get college credits, and still enter the draft when its time. Sad in a way, but a lot more steeped in reality than the current sham the NCAA has going.
  19. I dont see it as a pickle. Beyond stats Lamar is 37-12 as a starter, and needs to be re-signed. (made sure to add the space for my boy @Freddie's Dead) Baker is 29-30 and should be let go.
  20. Beware of free agents. There is a reason the team that already has them wont pay to keep them.
  21. Feel like this tweet could have waited one more week.
  22. This game reminded me I have a autographed Wyatt Teller Senior Bowl pass somewhere in my house.
  23. No reason for Mckenzie not to be back there. The other guy has bobbled or fumbled the ball four times since Lil' Dirty got benched for the same reason. Not to mention, the difference in speed between the two is noticeable.
