  1. After what they owe him in dead cap, the Lions spent 6,938,438 million dollars a sack for this guy. This is a perfect example of why teams who win free agency continue to suck for years and years. Great job lions. You spent 72 million dollars on a guy who averaged 3.5 sacks a year. For contrast, the Lions paid Flowers 72 million over the last three years for a total of 10.5 sacks. While his time has come and gone, the Bills have paid Jerry Hughes 71 million dollars total in the last 9 years, he had 53 sacks in that time. What a mind numbingly bad signing for the Lions.
  2. Isnt Spiranac a beer?
  3. Going to be Neal unless someone trades up. One of the oldest stories in the book, can hear Kiper now "ya know the Jags got their franchise QB last year, he struggled, he struggled ok. But last year is last year. Urban Meyer...gone. Doug Pederson gets his big ugly to protect Lawrence here, gotta love this pick for the Jaguars"
  4. If wins arent a QB stat, why do the best QBs always have the most wins?
  5. Prayers for your family brother. Lifting this man up in prayers for healing.
  6. I 100% agree. They already have a strong idea of what the cap will be in 2023 and 2024 so they can pretty quick work on restructures that include adding more years to the contract. I think they will probably go into free agency with money to spend. But I think the skepticism from other posters saying we dont have cap is warranted. Legal tampering is less than a week away and the Bills are still over the cap by a couple million.
  7. To be fair they aren't wrong. As it stands today we have no cap. So any potential cut/trade/restructure the board makes up to get us cap is a figment of our imagination until it actually happens. The amount of cap we make up in our heads isnt reality right now. The reality is the Bills are currently over the salary cap.
  8. Odd. He is a 3-4 OLB through and through. Decent player, but not a world beater by any means.
  9. Problem is 341 is light for him. Probably the best shape of his entire life. Good player but worry about him having Dareus Syndrome weight wise.
  10. I think thats just the reality of the NFL right now. The reality is there are maybe 5-7 teams who are legit Super Bowl Contenders year in and year out, and it has everything to do with the QB. But like you said, what are the other teams really supposed to do at QB? The real top tier guys are rare, so you cant expect to bottom out and just go get one in the draft, because like I just said, they dont come along that often. The league has parity week to week. But when it comes to Championships I'd argue they really dont. So what to do if you're one of 25-27 teams that dont have an elite QB? I'd say you keep someone like Carr and try to maximize putting fans in the seats, and make money off of delusional hope. Trading the guy, unless its for a better QB really doesnt do much for your organization.
  11. Love what Bease brought to the team but its time. Wheels are coming off and too much bad blood from last year.
  12. I am also a transplant. I remember stinker tinkering wondering why the hell I couldnt log in. Now I stinker tinker here, and the tinkering is much better.
  13. Hope McDermott proves everyone wrong next year. The players, and coaches quoted in these articles have short memories. Also with how much Isaiah Mckenize likes to talk to Tyler Dunne, I'd be surprised if he is back next year.
  14. 21 years old. I was a total idiot at 21 as well. I figure most of us probably were. Hope he gets a real job, stops living off his brother's fame, and grows up. Still a long way to go.
  15. I am almost 40 and fat. I am lucky my limbs dont pop off when I am sitting still. Cant risk it.
  16. What a world man...what a world.
  17. He is probably going to come cheap, 2.5-3 million dollars a year and he is probably a better option than Sweeney in terms of blocking and what he brings to the room to help Dawson out. However, his hands arent great and he is going to be 33 years old. I think there are probably better options, but he is the type of guy the Bills would want in the locker room. Also a guy the Bills tried to get last offseason. Would not be surprised in the least if Beane kicked the tires.
  18. Have to listen to what Beane said at his year end, and again on the E Wood Podcast. He isnt interested in giving up valuable resources for players on short term deals. You cant give up more than a 5th for a guy who on a one year deal who has played less than 60% of his games the last three years.
  19. The Bills play a majority of zone coverage. Edmunds' zone would have been the short middle of the field, not the flat. Milano would have covered the flat. He was also pretty bad in the Chiefs game. The Chiefs targeted the short middle of the field on 25% of their plays, Mahomes completed 66% of his passes to the short middle of the field, and their wideouts and tight ends averaged 11 yards per catch over the middle. Not to mention, their running game averaged 8 yards a carry up the middle. Edmunds, was a liability in that game without question. To be fair the entire defense outside of maybe Ed Oliver was.
  20. I dont mean record wise. I mean against the run and freeing up other interior lineman to rush the passer.
  21. I mean the team voted him captain. It's also been well documented that he spearheads "player's only" meetings during the season. For how bad his play is at times, he is for sure a team leader. I dont think you can debate that. Just because he isn't Josh or Kyle Williams, two of the best team leaders, I've ever seen on the Bills is 35 years of watching them, doenst mean he isnt a leader. I say that as someone who would rather see the Bills move on from him.
